Bookworms, what is the funniest book you've read?

Night Watch by Sir Terry Pratchett is one of my favorite books, its considered by some to be less funny than other books in the City Watch series because its more serious and grim but it really is just as funny. Pratchett understood that 'serious' is not the opposite of funny, 'not funny' is the opposite of funny. Night Watch is both serious and tragic, heroic and inspiring, and funny in a sort of ridiculous way all at the same time. The book is brilliant in every way, and it's the one I re-read the most. Also, while it is true that you can read the books in any order, I strongly recommend that one should read 1 other city watch book before Night Watch (except for Snuff, I think that one should always be read last)

Picking one book is tricky! 'Good Omens' or 'Leave it to Psmith' (P. G. Wodehouse) are favourites, but the one that surprised me by how funny it was was 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' by Hunter Thompson.

I actually saw FALILV in many "funniest books" online lists. Never read it or seen the movie, but now I'm curious!

@@thebookworm6554 The film is very good (I enjoy Terry Gilliam films) but there are scenes that are difficult to watch.

Any book by what I consider to be the trinity of Florida crime writers, Carl Hiassen, Dave Barry, and Tim Dorsey. Trust me, when reading these authors, you'll find that crime has never been so bizarre and rather hilarious.

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal - Christopher Moore, funny and enjoyable. P. C. Hodgell's Kencyrath series has some excellently funny moments. Nothing beats Sir Prerry Pratchett, tho ❤

I've read it 2 or 3 times, and i will definitely read it more 😄 Just on a BrandoSando re-read, plus i have all of the Dresden books to go through. 😄
