Commercials aren't meant for gen z's or any specific generation unless it's literally a product for that demographic. Advertising is all about trying to get everyone of all walks of life to buy their product. Hollywood has definitely had some talent pop up in the last decade, you just seem to not notice those ones. The quality of acting is arguably at it's highest right now, you can't just half-ass a role anymore. It's very competitive. Just because those stars aren't hitting the headlines doesn't mean that they're not there. Also commercials, ESPECIALLY a Superbowl commercial, take a looonnngg time and lot of man power to produce. They most definitely are not "made in a day by an intern." Are you joking or are you really just that out of touch? I feel bad for you either way. Sounds like you got a lot of pent up bitterness.

I'm not knocking you for your age of course just saying I'll bet 95% of people over 50 think the last two years of super bowl ads are surprisingly non funny compared to past years. Saturday night live comes up with funnier stuff and they only have one week to pull it off compared to one year for Super Bowl ads. The ads for Pepsi were especially bad, not even remotely funny, I was embarrassed for them.

@@charlesritter6640, I agree. And, I’ll add to it….. Those Pepsi commercials are ABSOLUTELY going to backfire on them. They just wasted a TON of money, on an ad campaign that told the public to ‘try’ their new product….or don’t. With NO offer of any kind of payoff, at all. You know how many people are going to try it, based on those commercials? About 17, I’m guessing. That’s a monumental failure.

As much as I think the Breaking Bad ad is the best, Adam Driver’s Squarespace comes so close second. I dunno but I cracked hard in the office when “NO YOU DID IT ADAM DRIVER” from tons of Adam Drivers towards Adam Driver is the kind of WTF I need in my life.
