Definitely especially that last/recent episode this season, Carol's request for her settlement money to be delivered through Sandra in Sandra's mouth🤦🏿♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣
I really hope that Superstore gets a Schitt’s Creek/The Office/Parks & Rec-level surge of fandom in the years to come. This show is just too good to be forgotten! 💙
I worked in Walmart UK (Asda) post 2000 for a few years. And would say that here in the UK our staff were twice as mental as any customers. The annual Christmas parties in a hired venue make that party scene early on in the John Belushi film 'Animal House' seem tame by comparison. The sight of our 2 resident gay lads pushing our (female) personnel manager at speed in a shopping trolley up and down the aisles just before closing one Christmas Eve, is burned into my memory forever. The manager in question was wearing a naughty maid costume that was rather skimpier than Dina's sexy cop costume in various episodes of Superstore. And she was wedged into the trolley with her legs up in the air flashing her drawers for customers and staff alike.. In a store... with 100% CCTV coverage.. And let me tell you.. NO ONE suffered any disciplinary measures for that incident.
Are we just going to forget about Brett being a running gag? Or Sal being a creep? Or the automatic cart thing attacking people? Or Glenn referencing the bible?
I love any instance where Sandra loses her temper because you never know what will set her off or what she will say or do when it happens. I suspect that Kaliko Kauahi was allowed to improvise in those scenes.
Right I'm just now finding this show on hulu and I'm just now finding out that its over 🥲 when I FINALLY find a good show to binge..They're discontinuing it 💔
One of my favorite running gags is the random severed feet they find in the store throughout the series starting after the tornado. Nice work....Elias.
Can't believe Superstore is ending tonight. Luckily, it has surpassed the traditional 4-season threshold usually warranted for syndication. So we'll be seeing reruns on Comedy Central or TBS soon enough.
The Good Place was 4 seasons. And it was planned to be exactly that. I have never seen a show as good as The Good Place. Best show ever and best series finale ever!
For Jonah that’s not really a running gag. He just gets passionate and likes to talk about things which annoys coworkers. Things that are similar but More of a running gag would be him getting teased, how much he wants to help everyone and fix their problems but sometimes makes them worse, or having to cut himself off in almost every conversation. Or his Halloween costumes.
Yeah like for Jonah I thought they’d say that he always says the wrong thing when trying to say the right thing and has to cut himself off a bunch of times. That or how he always wants Garrett to admit that they’re best friends
I've only just discovered this comedy gem and I'm absolutely loving it. Consistently funny, witty and surprisingly thought provoking, I know I'm going to watch it over and over.
The customer interstitials are absolute gems. I've personally seen many of 'em happen as just a customer in a store. I hope NBC can upload a newer compilation of them all.
YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO FOR YEAAAARSSS My favorite running gag is definitely Glenn's car always getting destroyed But also how the break room discussions always derail OR how they always have to watch an instruction video when something goes wrong
this show was already in talks for a seventh season so when we found out what was happening after somebody left the show it was a bummer. i will love this show so much and continue to watch it on repeat. this show was really so funny and i don’t want it to end 🥺 i will miss my cloud 9 family 🤍
The fact that I didn’t realize some of these were running gags is hilarious to me. Such a underrated show and I’m so sad to see it go. Glad I got to work on it twice 😃.
#sixseasonsandamovie “Cool. Cool, cool, cool!” - Abed Nadir 💗 “That’s nice!” - Shirley Bennett “Duh doy.” - Britta Perry/sometimes Troy Barnes “I don’t know what that is.” - Pierce Hawthorne “Dean dong!” - Dean Craig Pelton “Chang(ending of a word)” - Benjamin Franklin Chang “Shut up, Leonard!” - Jeff Winger “You guys.” - Annie Edison “Pop pop!” - Magnitude “My name is Alex.” - Alex “Starburns” Osbourne “Streets ahead.” - Pierce Hawthorne “Britta’d.” - The Group “Troy and Abed in the morning!” - Troy Barnes/Abed Nadir
You left out the severed feet that started in season 3... in the series finale they revealed that it was Elias and showed him setting one last foot on a shelf!!
Fun fact: I went to high school with Lauren Ash (Dina). She and her friends did the between-class announcements and music, and they played "Uptown Girl" so much that the entire school started to hate it. Dina's love of Billy Joel is probably a way to work Lauren's real personality into the character.
I wouldn't say that the two about Justin and Jonah are running gags, they're more part of character or the whole character in the case of Justin 😂 You should have mentioned instructive videos, Photo Lab, which than changes into Troot, Brett never speaking, severed foot, Sandra shipping Jonah&Amy and ofc Carol/Sandra feud!
“s-shut up Sandra..” “SHUT UP SANDRA!” God I love this show. I’m so sad to see it go.. at least we have the bloopers! Also whoever made this script and is narrating this is savage.
I love Superstore so much! I never get tired of rewatching it. 😂 The customer interstitials are the best! I hope you’ll also do a list of best running gags from Black-ish (although the series is still ongoing).
Customers doing crazy things doesn’t just happen in this sitcom but also irl. I work at a grocery store and I can’t tell you how many times customers have left frozen items out, eaten something and put it back somewhere else, or even done things like parking their car in front of a corral. I’m not even kidding. That actually happened.
Here’s the real list because they left some stuff out: Amy’s name tag Glenn’s car The raccoons The feet garrets intercom jokes Shut up Sandra Dinah’s costume Justine Dinah calling Amy Rodriguez And Cheyenne’s hair thingies
I feel so bad for Sandra. I'm a lot like her...sensitive, not confrontational, push over. People were so cruel to me in school and thats why I refuse to have a job and why any children i have will never set foot in a school
Same and I'm a Filipino who gets to be belittled by bullies and those with authority and I can't get mad because I'll be teased as "onion-skinned" (someone who is easily offended)
@@chucky110 my kids will be home schooled. So they will have an education thank you. Were I live you can hire a teacher. Its expensive im sure but id never put an innocent child in a sistuation where they could be mistreated. And I have money...enough to live on. This is 2021 you dont need to have a job where you have to talk to people directly. You can make money on the internet without ever leaving your house. Im on disiblity right now for my depression caused by all the bullying and trauma I endured in school. Its not a lot but enough. When i have to i will start youtube or tiktok and do those oneline survays that pays. The only thing i want in life is a baby thats the only reason I didnt kill myself because of all the shit school put my through, so having friends or finding love building a career...none of those are important to me.
@@ashleylarocque4500 Just because it happened to you does not mean it will happen to everyone, that is called paranoia and you need a job to afford to be able to hire a teacher.
@@chucky110 again you can make tons of money on the internet if you know how. Why take a chance my innocent kids life will be full of depression and anixiety by sending them to the worst place in the world. If i cant afford the teacher ill school them myself or they can do it online.
I remember when Cecily Strong had a cameo role in an episode, and Amy's name tag for the day was Gemma, which is one of Strong's SNL characters she's played. That's when I realized that it's worth taking a look at every episode.
My favourite one is the newspapers, the headlines are the funniest thing ever. Colton Dunn confirmed that people wrote the headlines before they filmed in the behind the scenes video.
You guys forgot how random severed feet used to appear around the store every now and then. It was so funny because on the last episode it turns out that it was Elias the entire time
I didnt catch Glen’s car but it’s an amazing running gag! I also thought Cheyene’s green thingy should be included Random “scenarios” during a meeting is also a running gag in the show
one of my favourites that no one talks about is justine and shrimp? at any special event (weddings + emmas quinceanera) she seems to be obsessed w the shrimp which makes me giggle also the fact sandras cats are always fucked up and dying or lumpy or something
Random fun fact about Amy’s name tags . Some of them were actually the names of cast member’s daughters who were born while the show was running - Lucia (America/Amy’s daughter) - Effie (Ben/Jonah’s daughter) - Remeny (Colton/Garrett’s daughter)
One my all time favorite shows that I'm going to miss so much.😢🙌🥰 Including the whole cast members from the show. Best of luck to each one. Good quality laughs. Period
