Yes Fossetts Farm for Southend United is dead and buried. It was supposed to open in 2008 for Kevin Maher's testimonial. He's now the manager. Roots Hall is fine it was the newest stadium in England for 30 years. It just needs a bit of TLC!
There was a "Top 10 Future Non League Stadiums" vlog about a decade ago and all-bar York City-proved just to be pipe dreams. I imagine most of these will end up the same.
Ah ok, it can be difficult with the high costs for non-league clubs. Also the ‘green belt’ had made a lot of plans more difficult- Barnet for example would probably already be building if it wasn’t for the site being classed as a green belt.
Scunny has already gone that way, and had done long before we were relegated out of the football league. This proposed new stadium of ours is a decade old and became a dud quite soon. In fact, this is such old news that we have had a new owner since with another 'new stadium' plan that collapsed since this.
Gotta loathe Forest Gump.Total waste of low emission energy! No fans.No future...plus pretty sure Ebbsfleet didn't get relegated last season they survived on the last day?
As a Southend fan I'm telling you now the new stadium is definitely not happening they're going to redevelope the current stadium, that's as long as we are still a club and the sale goes through which isn't looking as good with our current owner
@@markjones6564 you never know, plans do look incredible, from speaking to the new owners I believe they have their eyes on just improving and updating the original stadium and making it a 16,000 seater stadium, not seen the plans for that tho which is a shame
I live in Bexhill. Neighbouring Hastings. It’s disappointing that the borough council did not approve the tilekiln development but this means they could move to another site on land between Hastings and Bexhill.
You are 100% wrong about Scunthorpe United's ground. The imagery shown was when Scunthorpe were in League One and the then chairman (Peter Swann) wanted to build a new ground as part of 'the Lakes' project in Scunthorpe. This was abandoned after a couple of years due to the whole project being dropped in the town. After a couple of changes of ownership, and years of wrangling the club have finally got their ground back from Peter Swann's ownership and there is NO plan to move to a new ground.
I don't want to be harsh on the guy, he has an interesting channel that spotlights the more obscure parts of English football, but some research could have spotted this. These ground plans and the fallout are so old that we have had another owner since Swann with his own new stadium fiasco that, of course, never amounted to anything but a sign.
Sheffield fc, the oldest first football club is the one i am intrigued about.😮 They seem to have a good car park outside this new stadium.😅 5:11 my friend, a sight mistake here ebbsfleet stayed up Last season. Who replies back to the comments? The young boy or his dad? Happy to see Grays athletic are going o Thurrock fc’s ship Lane in 2025 to 2026 season next season. Almost July and preseason begins. Will be good to see you attend one or two grounds such as Clapton CFC and Raynes park vale fc ground who once told they had the worst non league ground in England. There is a documentary type about this on YT..
Sheffield’s ground is a lovely one! It’s me in the videos who replies. I read the news about Grays, I’ll have to visit as they do up the ground. Football is nearly back!
Sorry about they, it’s strange as someone commented the same on another video, but the audio seems to work fine for me. I’ll see if anyone else has the problem.
Barnet have said the ground will be kept by the club and leased out for certain events, charity games etc, but it would be interesting to see if Wealdstone haven’t built there’s yet!
@@TFSS some years ago it had an upgrade costing millions, they wanted to relocate to the bottom of the town which fell through. There is only one access to the ground(situated at the park entrance)with the perimeter very large, You have houses adjacent to the other side of the stadium but anyone wanting to access the ground has to walk 1/2 a mile to the turnstiles. .
