We decided we wanted to spoil number 4 for everyone! We knew that number 4 was the one everyone was waiting on pins and needles for. We wanted to get the info out early in case everyone started rioting because they couldn't handle the anticipation.

Completely agree with Grand Austria Hotel. Loved it at 2 and then played it at 3 to show someone and hated it! If I had played it at 3 first I probably would have gotten rid of it.

@@NerdPerCaso hey I'm not the person you asked, but lately my brother and I have been enjoying 51st state. My favorite all time two player game is Netrunner. Some other great ones are Undaunted: Normandy, duelosaur Island, Mansions of Madness, Mandala.

I recommend underwater cities at two.

I didn't find out about Santorini until it was sold out and now it's a Kickstarter that's priced at $110.00 shipping included, but it look purdy.

You're not the first person we've heard say this, we actually think it scales really well. What would you say makes it hard at 3-4. Though I will admit we do prefer it at 2p, so you're not wrong

@@TheBrothersMurph I think the biggest one is time, I have been able to play games that only take 30 or so mins with 2 people, while with 4 we are talking 2hrs+. Adding people also highlights one of the problems with the game (though it might be my favorite game) and that's book keeping, even with pen and paper (I think might be the best way of keeping track) it's a hassle. The other thing that makes it longer is there tends to be like 3-4 turns that are really really long which tend to be when you get your new spell book and there is just a lot of downtime in general. Why do you think it scales well? I find the draft to be maybe a little better but if one person isn't on the same level as the other players that it snowballs pretty hard.

Jeroen De Mulder Providing everyone knows the game adding extra players doesn’t make the game any longer. I’ve played it at 2, 3 and 4 player and it plays equally well.

@@deanlowdon8381 Yes, it probably plays well with more players. But my point is that there is almost no player interaction, it adds nothing more with 3-100 players. I prefer a non-multiplayer solitary game when I play with 3 or more players.

we thought about this one long and hard but we just refuse to acknowledge it as more than a 2 player game so you can bet your caboose when we do our best 2 player games it'll have a good shot at that list.
