Ooph I've had my Playdate for a few months and it's absolutely my favorite thing to have come out/played this year. Tons of great cheap itchio games to check out, I'm sure you've been reading up on them for months in anticipation. Great video!
I played Stella glow, Klonoa and Hades from your collection. My fav retro games I played in 2022 were Jeanne D'arc and Castlevania Dracula x chronicles on PSP. I highly recommend those. Also played Hollow knight and Dead Cells on switch. Great Games.
Not a Fan of VR Games, the first one seemed pretty cool. You put an interesting list of Games, which got a good variations of genres😃And I appreciate that you got your own style when I watch your Videos🙂
Excellent video and a great list of games, Nick! Klonoa the Phantasy Reverie Series was one of my favorite games of the year as well. It was my first time playing the second game and I loved it. You have me intrigued with NFS Unbound! It's been YEARS since I've gotten into a racing game let alone NFS, so I'm planning to pick that up sometime this year. I don't comment on your videos enough, but I've been a long-time subscriber and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the evolution of your channel over the years. I spent the year pulling my entire commodore 64, Atari 2600, GB, GBC, GBA, Sega master system and Genesis collection into roms so I can play my entire collections of my original games from my childhood mobile on my RP handheld I built as well as my steam deck. It saves me from traveling with an extra suitcase when I am on the road. I have been playing a lot of the original Dragon Warrior 1 and 2 and golden sun 1 and 2 from the GB era as well as racing destruction set, law of the west and Street Rod from the commodore 64. I still have all of my originals hooked up but we ran out of room for TV's in our game room so we are building a second game room to hold our collection and have room for everything to be playable without having to unhook and hook up different systems.
at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
Hades is definitely worth finishing. The first completion only unlocks more content and you'll gradually get better weapons and passives that make the game a lot more enjoyable.
If I had added each individual game from compilations I bought over the course of this year to my backloggery page, I would have keeled over from shock! I added them via stealth add later. Needless to say I've fallen way behind, but they're quick games so I'm making quick progress. I'm going to have to go with either Hades or Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster as my favourite game I played this year, though Shredder's Revenge is a runner up for sure.
