Fabled Fruit is one of our all-time favorite quick games. There are SO MANY different cards that come out over the course of your time playing. Each play is only about 15-20 minutes once you learn how to play. :)
A meatier game for two players in 30 minutes that I really enjoy is called Trambahn. It's a card drafting and set collecting game with a bit of meat, but not too involved. It also has the unusual theme of tramways.
Not a heavy game, but one of my favorite "lunch games" (and i know you guys like it so I assume it made the short list): High Society. IMO it's a perfect lunch game because not only is it small and quick, but you can teach it to anybody. Anyone who's into card games with some bluffing and mind games can get into it, yet there's just enough thinking to keep someone like me interested. Downside is the three player minimum, but whenever I've got a small group I might want to coax into a game I bring it along.
one of my favorites too, underplayed. Consider these if you love it but want more plays: 2 different colour d6 dices for each stand for 1 AI, even numbers 2 money cards, odd numbers 1 money card, 5 is no bidding. After 4 auctions, reserve money card phrase for AIs, then hidden bid and instant win auction phrase for AIs, then continue the game. I doubt you need this but someone may :-)
Don’t Mess With Cthulhu is s nice lightweight hidden roll game. I can teach this to non-gamers in a heartbeat while I can still see a different level of game for more experienced players. I also like that the rolls and cards are collected and redistributed evenly so no one is ever “out” (plus it packs really small). There’s a new Deluxe version that I’d love to have but I’ve already bought the base game for me and as a gift. DMWC stays in my GoBag of small games (usually about 12 in a shoulder sling). Great choice, fellas!
Dice Throne, at 2 players. It’s another battle type game, but like Unmatched there are so many different types of characters to choose from, it’s never the same game twice.
Believe me we were bummed when we saw the final time. We’ve never been known for being the most brief but dang it would have been on theme if we’d managed it
This is a great list with some games that weren't on my radar. How about doing "Meaty Small Box Games for Four"?! I have loads of fillers, but nothing small and meaty for my quartet.
Pax Transhumanity. The most bang for the box size that I have ever played. It won't be for everyone, so research it first, but it's wonderful if you are into heavy action chaining games with moderate interaction. The box is itty bitty...
@@brendant2180 I have TE Galaxies and the time just flies on that one (over in about 30 mins). Will have to look at the other games in the series. TE Dinosaurs looks interesting
I play Draftosaurus with my whole family. My 4 and 7 yr olds are able to grasp the summer side of the board and the meeples are great. Sushi Go Party and Go Nuts for Donuts are our favorite quick games to play.

7 Wonders would work at 30mins but only without the expansions, it'd be a rush to get it into 30mins with the extras. It is a great game, my number 1 of all games when I think about it. Excellent video, 3yrs late in watching :D
Two player or solo quick games: Hanimakoji, Race for the Galaxy (once people know it), Onitama are some favorites For more players, Sushi Go! Party, 7 Wonders, and The Estates are generally all under an hour, though people have to be experienced to get them down to thirty minutes...
I play draftosaurus with my 9 years old daughter. I leave out the dice restriction for her, so we have equal chance to win. Now we play sushi roll as a stap up from draftosaurus. She discovers the tactics of hate drafting by herself, fun to see.
I think finishing 7 wonders duel, queendomino and fleet the dice game in not more than 30min incl preparing, counting and putting all back in the box is challenging unless you play with some kind of timer to make you rush through the game. Especially at work you cant just leave the game where it is or extend the break time. Rule #1: dont believe the time printed on the box. :-) it mostly just works with the lowest player count, all experienced players and excluding time for preparation and getting things packed.

I love Kinizia games and own Blue Lagoon, but i would not say it's 30 minutes or less. I would have put The Crew on my list too, but my sons don't like it too much and I can't get it to the table very often. My sons would probably have added Coup or Love Letter to their lists. And my cousin likes king Domino too.
Space Hulk.Death Angel.... portable. deadly, fast to set up... game time between 30-45min. Sushi Go Party... portable, fast, simple, fun Timeline... superportable, superfast, supersimple and educational
I love your content and respect your opinions but I absolutely detest Onirim. I don’t think I’ve won a single base game and much like solitaire it’s pointless and often times heavily luck dependent even with good strategy.
Going to disagree with "The Crew" not being a good first time trick-taking game. I'm using "The Crew" to teach Logan and Sam (teenagers) how trick-taking games work. It has been fantastic and learning helps a lot as you can easily go back after losing and understand how / why we should've done something different. Yes, it is a little slower but I find it SUPER rewarding to see their growth in becoming highly proficient!
