Sam and Twi\tch as #1???!!! AAArrrggghhhh!!! The Mandarin can eat them both as a snack!! But for the top spot I would go for Cyber Spawn, massive and mean!! Even Malebolgia would pause for the Cyber Spawn!!
How can 10th anniversary Spawn not have made this list being that it's still one of the best articulated action figures to this day considering the time when it came out...
I love that one, I think its dope, grungey, and super stylized in a way I like, but it is a little weird to be at number one, given that you know.. its not spawn himself
Great job as always. A top 10 or collecting Simpsons Playmates would be awesome. Or maybe go old school and bring up 80's toys that folks might have forgotten- Food Fighters, Barnyard Commandos, Captain Power, etc. At any rate, keep up the great work
My #1 has to be my first Spawn Series 6 Battleclad Spawn Honorable mention Gunslinger Spawn, 1997 Attack Spawn from the Movie, Dark Ages Black Knight Spawn, Samurai War Spawn, Viper King Spawn
I actually love that he picked Sam and Twitch as number one. I was shocked though that it was his choice. Love it. I like the Billy Kincaid figure, and the figure that is him from issue 8. Pretty much my whole list would be the covers line of figures.
The vast majority of Mcfarlane's toys are not action figures, they are statues with a couple of cut joints, and are limited to one pose, two at most. I still love the Spawn 'figures' that I have, but it disappoints me that they are called 'action figures' with a couple points of articulation (and usually just cut joints), when companies like NECA are turning out figures with Mcfarlane levels of details and true articulation (25+ points).
I hear you there. They actually seemed to be getting better with their #Halo and #TheWalkingDead lines but recently they seem to be reverting back to the 'statue' style figures.
Going through an old box and I’m happy to see I have two of the 10 you listed. Santa Spawn and Spawn 7 on the throne. The other one I have is the 10th Anniversary Spawn. Surprised it’s not on the list. Currently up for sale on eBay now.
choosing these was REALLY difficult as there were so many great Spawn figu4es. The major downside was the lack of articulation, which is one of the main reasons, I love the new, Mortal Kombat Spawn. It has some awesome articulation.
ActionFigureResource I know! The Mortal Kombat Spawn looks great. I’m trying to slowly ease out of collecting but figures like that make it hard. Haha!
To think todds just hetting started with the DC line. I cant wait for like 5 years from now. Wowza. The coolest whould be winged Batman who laughs w/ chained groblins and Build a Bane w/Scarecrow.
thank you also maybe if in future one about if you buy a figure and its signed and you want to know if its a legitimate signature or not that would be great
Somehow this ended up in my feed way late...but I agree number 1 was a terrible choice (IMO)... Was the 10th Anniversary figure not out maybe, how is it not on this list...?
This video was made a number of years ago and was the personal choice of my videos editor who was also a collector, however as always with this sort of subject matter there's always going to being different opinions. What would be your top ten?
@@ActionFigureResource hey there, I actually didn't have a major issue with any of the picks except for the number 1 choice. That 10th anniversary Spawn figure seems like one of, if not the best figure of the actual character Spawn so I was wondering why it didn't make the list, wasn't sure when it came out, maybe after this video was put out?
It's really a shame that MacFarlane has a monopoly over Spawn figures. I'd much prefer having a Spawn S. H. Figuarts or even a Spawn Funko Pop figure over what's actually being made.
Yeh, Poached Spawn was quite cool. There are so many great Spawn figures, but I do prefer the older ones as they tend to have much better articulation, the more recent ones are more like statues than action figures.
These figures are what rekindled my interest in collectibles and toys. Most still look amazing, it's so strange that they are still so cheap on the secondary market. Great for buyers, but kinda sad these are all basically worthless....
Well Violator should have been on that List and When it Comes 2 Action Figures The Terminology should Be Redefined as Statues Most of These Figures had no are hardly any Articulation except For The Mandarin Spawn and Spawn with the Guns Maybe this Video should have Been Called Best Spawn Statues but an Amazing Review
I agree with your list however I disagree with the Cy-gor on your list since I wasn't a big fan of the Spawn animated figure line . Love some of the other Cy-gors Mcfarlane Toy's made
ActionFigureResource awesome, I’m liking this Spawn resurgence more and more by the minute, thank god Mortal Kombat had him in the game. Btw, you getting yourself the Kickstarter Spawn? :)
@@carlosalcazar1192 I hope too, but I'm in China now so getting them shipped here isn't easy. Which is crazy as most of these toys are made in a factory about an hour from me.
@@DJ_Ortiz it's been a while since we've seen any new Spawn figures. I would love to see more storylines arounf the Samurai Spawn figures and Gunslinger Spawn etc. They would make for great movies also.
You lost me at your number 1 choice. Sam & Twitch, really? I did subscribe though! My number one Spawn figure choice would be the amazing 'Nightmare Spawn'.
Can you believe watching those ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY incredible figures, that this is the same McFarlane from DC Multiverse ? WTF is happened to you Todd ❔
I quite agree with you, and I'm happy to see that the most recent McFarlane figures have returned to that core principle, esecially with their DC releases.
just an fyi, most of McFarlane's Spawn figures, were actually articulated action figures. Only a smaller percentage were "staction" figures. As long as you can move the head, waist, rotate the arm, even in a pre-posed state, it's a staction figure. Not a statue. The term statue is reserved only for those that have absolute no articulation points what so ever (ie resin, pvc statues). So we now coin the term "staction". An in between of sorts. :) I'm babbling. Apologies.
No problem and I understand what you're saying but most of the later Spawn, and other figures, released had very limited articulation which was always a point of frustration for many collectors. However, over the last few years, since about the time they acquired the Halo license, I'm happy to say this trend has been reversed and most of the more modern figures have had excellent articulation.
Technically I would agree with you, and this in my mind was the big problem with many of the McFarlane figures so it's nice to see they have gone back to super articulated figures.
I had the 2nd one when i was 7 and i got it at a yard sale for $5 the pieces are still in the box and good condition and now i barly notice that it was from spawn😂
It's really a shame that MacFarlane has a monopoly over Spawn figures. I'd much prefer having a Spawn S. H. Figuarts or even a Spawn Funko Pop figure over what's actually being made.
