riker's contemporary with allison deserved to be on the list especially since it was praised to be insanely difficult for someone who is not a professional to perform

Riker did have a lot of dance experience though. He and his sister were partners and they even competed against some of the pros on the show (like Lindsay, Witney) in ballroom Latin competition

Most of the people on this list have some sort of dance experience meryl, jordan, paige, jojo etc... so i think to speak to the point of the list, one of the hardest dance routines we have seen was the contemporary with riker and allison

@@cocoacoolypso yes, I agree it's difficult. I was just replying since you stated it's insanely difficult for someone who is not a professional and there was a lot of controversy with Riker since he had competed in ballroom competitions. Many of the celebs have dance training and experience but have not trained in ballroom or competed like he did. But I do agree he's a great dancer and Allison gave him really challenging and amazing choreography

I’m fairly certain that Lindsey Sterling playing the violin while dancing with partner Mark Ballas is harder than swinging from a fake chandelier. But what do I know?

M & M are by far the hottest, steamiest couple ever. Massive chemistry, followed by the tabloids and fans. Movie star potential. Alas, Maksim is married, so is Meryl, I think.

Honestly Shawn And Derek could dominate this entire list. Their Bhangra, Mambo, Quickstep, Tango/Paso Fusion, and Freestyle are some of the most difficult dwts dances I’ve ever seen also some of the best choreography ever done on the show. Like they had Emmy winning performances

Totally agree. I literally was up cheering her one with both partners. I think one time I woke up the dogs next dog with my screaming from their freestyle. I love the fusion dance that was best out of all the fusion dances that was presented that year!

I will tell you the real best one that you failed to mention was Nyle DiMarco!! He really had the odds against him because he's hard of hearing so to go out there and dance like he did, HE PROVED WITHOUT QUESTION HE DESERVED THAT VICTORY!! And his best performance by far was for the song Victorious

Oh man literally EVERY dance that Nyle did - especially switch up week when he had to be with a partner who didn't yet know how to work with a deaf dancer by that point. He definitely deserved that S22 win.

I love that Mark is in the top spot! He's my favorite pro, right alongside Derek. Meryl and Maks I agree with too on here. The one that stands out as missing for me is Nicole Scherzinger- her sailor themed quickstep with Derek, while rule-breaking to some of the judges, was a technical and theatrical masterpiece. Also living in my head forever is Amber and Derek's charleston.

How is Sharna and James Hinchcliffe's dance with Sharna blindfolded not on this list. That was a whole new level of trust between partners esp with someone who has no dance exp. Also, I personally prefer Meryl and Maks' Argentine Tango

I think you are forgetting shanna burgess and James hinchcliff. He had absolutely no dance or gymnastic training and had some amazing dances. The blindfold dance, the Halloween nance and his freestyle. All excellent!

Kellie Pickler & Derek's Freestyle was the best dance ever to me. It had the physical athletics, challenging routine & pure emotion of anything I have ever seen by 2 people who were not involved with each other & one who had never had any kind of training for dance/acting.

Some good picks here! But there were 2 other freestyles I’m thinking of: Mark Ballas with Lindsey Stirling and Witney Carson with Alfonso Ribiero. Both of those guys threw in everything and the kitchen sink. 😅

All great dances! But! The finale or the first dance by the guy who is deaf (can’t remember his name) was outstanding. He was DEAF and he hit all the marks, musically and in great form.

Peta and donald drivers freestyle with cowboy troy was definitely one of my fav. They put blood sweat and tears (literally all 3) into that routine. And they wound up winning that season...

Stacy Keibler doing the quickstep in 6-in stilettos was pretty amazing but I'm sure nobody under age 50 remembers her when she was on the show. I'd also recommend everyone watch Mya and Dmitry's Perfect Salsa. It was darn difficult and very well done.

These are all so good! But there's one more you should have added to this list just because it was so beautiful and so perfectly performed! Derek Hough's and Kellie Pickler's freestyle dance was the most beautiful, most moving, most emotional, and perfect dance I've ever seen! That dance told a love story that had me in tears! I have watched it at least 15 times and will watch it many more times because it's THAT good!

I agree I've watched that one probably 50 times and I too cried as well from the emotion of it, especially because it told the story of Kellie Picklers life. The song was perfect as well Maks and Meryl's freestyle seemed like they took a lot of moves from Derek and Kellie's freestyle routine, so yes it definitely should have been on here *Now on my way to go watch it again*

The three I find difficult are Sharna and the auto racer doing Argentine Tango while she is blindfolded; the deaf model doing the Sound of Silence or the one where they dance with him blindfolded or without music and third is Sharna and the vet who is a double amputee finale. I don’t like Derek Houthi at all, but the one where he is lying on the ground arms over his head while the female with him is lowered forward. I found these routines very remarkable!

Wow! Siwa & Johnson's routine was spectacular. In dance, the steps of each partner are very defined. For one partner to take on the steps of the other partner without lapsing back into the steps they usually dance is a tremendous fete, & takes a lot of concentration. Brava, Ladies, Multi Brava!

As a foreigner who has never seen DWTS, I can only go by the European versions I've seen here. And not a single one of these dances wowed me or got me emotionally at all. The rumbas and tangoes (ansd really just about every dance but the freestyles) were TOO FAST. You want a DIFFICULT rumba, then SLOW. IT. DOWN. They are NOTORIOUSLY harder to execute. And so much more BEAUTIFUL.

I think Tamar Braxton’s dance to Rhythm Nation should’ve made the list. The dance itself is already regarded as one of the toughest dancing choreo routines created and she killed it and should be acknowledged for it.
