Well I have a struggle on bopopolis on my first experience in my revisited on tropical freeze and the timing on how to make a higher jump on the enemies is pain
You can actually take it slow and steady to get through the squawks section in animal antics! The trick is to not press left or right while the wind is blowing in the direction you want to move and lightly tap the joystick/d-pad in the direction you want to go whenever the wind blows in the opposite direction. (The same principle still applies if you need to dodge obstacles or travel vertically) This ensures that you won't be fighting the wind only for it to change direction on you and blow you straight into the brambles.
Dkc2 poison pipeline was actually pretty fun I thought. I got used to it almost instantly. Animal antics was especially fun ,the parrot in the wind loved it
poisonous pipelines is from dkc3, and no, the level wasn't fun, at least for me, you had to constantly slow down because of the inverted controls and enemy placement, not to mention getting out of the water is even worse because your characters will go left and right until you manage to make them land on the floor. Animal antics is fun, but Squanks section can suck some dick, at least once you manage to get the timing of when the wind starts pulling you to left or right, it gets a little easier, but still hard tho, I hate those Zingers at the last bit before the Rattly barrel, when the wind starts to pull you into them, you're going to get hit most of the time.
I honestly don't know how the mirror mode version of 4k isnt considered the absolute hardest DKC level of all time, NOR HOW ANY MIRROR MODE WORLD 8 LEVELS DONT MAKE IT ONTO TOP 10 HARDEST DKC LEVELS LISTS
The snow barrel level in DKC2 is challenging as far as barrel levels go, but overall it's not even that bad. Bopopolis (2-K level in Tropical Freeze) is a ridiculously difficult level. It's not for normal people.
Toxic tower, web woods, artic abyss (for some reason), to a lesser extent castle crush seem to annoy me the most. I can deal with animal anticx but the first few times i played it it really annoyed me lol. And the glitch in screeches sprint where you don;t need to race him is useful if you want to explore.
1 minute into the video, can't agree with you more! Use all DK games, no filter. This series is fuckin bananas! DKC2 is the most difficult game I've ever played. I think this video ruined my love of Donkey Kong. These levels are borderline unethical lol
I am very late here but I treated the OWL flying segmant of DK 64 as a ring course and not a race and that made it much more doable for me. I paced myself and am able to beat it more consistantly. The most tricky thing of it though is not accadently landing on a tree branch and loosing jetpack all togather. Same as the one in Angry Aztec. The beetle races were more frustrating if one does not approach them with a strat. The fact that one had to not only win the race but collect 50 coins which can be dropped when hit by the beetle.
IDK why but I'm really great with timing so the barrels were never a problem to me. In fact I'm playing DKCR on Dolphin emulator on my phone and since it lags every now and then, I have a REALLY hard time with barrels because my tempo is messed up by the lag. But playing snow barrel blast was always something pleasant to me lol
Did I ever mention that I managed to beat Hungarian Dance #5 in G Minor ON HARDEST DIFFICULTY? In Donkey Konga? I just wish there was a video showcasing HOW difficult it was yet so far I couldn't find any....
That minecart level in DKC1 was some straight bulls##t. Tom and I spent like a half hour and 50+ lives the other day trying to beat it. We had to cheat and use save states to get past it.
