I have a tip for the Bonepen star: Save the coins in the middle for last, so you can grab the star when you got the last coin

That moment when you realize that you were supposed to throw the bombs on the golf coin spots after beating the game several times by "winging it"

All the stars are easy for me, except for the bonus one where you spend the whole level blowing in a bubble over a pit of death.

After getting all 120 stars and watching this video. It made me realize how easy this game is compared to others in the series. Luigi's purple coins is the only level I game overed on and when ai came back for it later on after I had gotten better with movement/long jumps/etc it took me only 3 tries. The boneyard purple coins is way easier by comparison since you only have to do 1 thing (tap the blue stars). Once you realize you need to route your path to ending in the middle it is super free.

Hot take: I enjoyed the purple coin missions in this game. They made the worlds feel way more open-world.

Crazy to watch this again after so long. You’ve changed a lot (mostly for the better I suppose haha). I always remembered that you chose that one for number one. Somehow, I beat it on my first try ever (with one or two seconds on the clock of course). Currently playing through galaxy again after getting 100%, so I’ll have to see if I can get lucky on the boneyard purple coins again.

Coming back to the first video I found of Nathaniel's, and it's so nostalgic when in middle school I was procrastinating one night (haha). I still can't get over the glitch part. That always kills me!

It's still fun watching this video 10 years later, even though it is very different compared to the newer videos.

Cool tip: On the dreadnought purple coin level, if you're on a stationary platform and miss your ride (ex. the thwomp area), just stay there because another moving platform will come in around 10 seconds

I bought this game the very day my first daughter was born in 2007. Crazy me actually took my small T.V that I had to the hospital to play this game. Im happy to say that after on and off play all these years, I finally got my 120th star today!! The last star was Dreadnoghts Garbage Dump. Not the hardest star for me, but it was up there because of the time you had. Wow!! I will always have that memory of buying this amazing game tied with the birth of my beautiful daughter.

Ghost Ship Daredevil Run took me around 15 tries, Bouldergeist's Daredevil Run took me around 20 tries, Lava Spire Daredevil Run took me 2 tries. Am I weird?

When I once played the Bonepen Purple Coins, I had only one second left and got the star, but it glitched, so I had to do it again after many tries. And since I was a small 9 or 10 year old kid, I raged so much.

For Number 4, I once entered the same camera problem you did, I just long jumped to a platform on the left, messed around with FPV and got the camera back

Actually for #6, if you go on the non-moving platforms and wait long enough another platform will come for you if you wait long enough. Like for the thwomp section, you can actually take your time and it won't be long before another moving platform comes. Proof: I happened to stumble upon this as I replayed that star with Luigi.

Only ones that I would swap out would be the Beach Bowl purple coins and Deep Dark purple coins and replace them with Bubble Blast Galaxy and Rolling Gizmo Galaxy. And Nathaniel actually pointed out in his rank of the galaxies across both games that Bubble Blast is infuriating if you mess up in the star chip section (and personally for me, the Bullet Bill section at the end is ridiculous and causes quite the panic). And Rolling Gizmo...if you're not used to motion controls, best of luck to you.

Most of the non-timed Purple Coin Stars I found fairly easy and actually enjoyable. I liked Beachcombing for Purple Coins because it actually didn't take that long for me and I love the atmosphere of Beach Bowl Galaxy. Purple Coins on the Summit and The Honeyhive's Purple Coins took me longer. Dreadnaught in particular took a lot of practice but I didn't totally hate it. Except for Purple Coins in the Woods, I found the timed Purple Coin Stars to be moderately challenging (Purple Coins on the Puzzle Cube) to insane (Luigi's Purple Coins - which I am working on beating right now). I was scared to try Purple Coins in the Bone Pen, but surprisingly it only took me a few tries. Your advice to find good paths to take and always collecting coins was very helpful for me. Thank you Nathaniel.

Through the Meteor Storm was kinda hard for me, after i figured out i could have just jumped to the shroom, then build up a little speed and just like that, i was able to get the star.

Luigi purple coins was designed purposely to have enough time to gather all of the coins, and still have enough sinkable platforms leff to grab the star. You can even clear the stage by following the Luigi outline, also designed that way on purpose as well.

Omg long jumping to get the two purple coins on icicles in the freezeflame galaxy takes a DIFFERENT level of skill

I got all 100 coins, but I died in the ice water. This happened two attempts in a row. Because I was so mad that I lost at the end twice in a row, I threw my Wii Remote. My parents heard it and took away my electronics for a day. That's why I hate this star. And Freezeflame's Blistering Core is still harder than this.
