I can't wait to get my hands on the new blocks and do some makeovers! Likely I'll build a load of new bases, but I have every intention of bringing these over to A21 and also building a massive test world with all the bases in it.
Your builds look so detailed and well designed. I think the devs have found a new POI creator. I never thought I was terrible at building but these make me jealous for your creative skill.

Hey Eko. Question for you. I'm attempting to construct a horde base utilizing a Ranger Station. Looking for insight into how to fortify it 100 fold while also making it's footprint 3x the size of what it is initially. I've been trying to learn more and more on how to use blocks and to change the shapes and rotations, but having issues (I think I'm dumb haha). I have an idea of what I want it to be, but not entirely sure if how to put it into practicality. Could you assist?
I built a massive castle in my current world, and I could not be happier with it. I had always built bases with function being almost the prime design concern, but I decided to mix it up recently. While it may be substantially harder to defend, I will take a good looking base over the most efficient design any day.

@@WaywardEko Guess I’ll have to get back to work, then lol. Just in case it’s of interest, Ever work with secret passages and hidden entrances? What I’m struggling with right now is that I want to make a hidden vault in or under the base (mostly just for RP purposes and the fun of having a secret space in the community area, but also to hide away certain things). The base is an above-ground, castle-themed base built on a cliffside (so it can passively drop incoming zombies off the cliff as a low-cost defense mechanism), so just having a tunnel just branch out from a wall underground isn’t really viable. I’m thinking of using duct and plate parts to make hollow passages in the walls (1-2 block thick to make it less obvious), but entrances are tough - ‘decorative’ duct and vents over furnaces/campfires, AC vents, or Joel-type fireplaces are all I can think of and even those I’m not sure how to best implement. A replaceable sheet with a hole in the wall seems too obvious since its HP will be obviously too low if it’s ever hit at all… unless it was elevated at the end of a disguised obstacle climb?… I just found your channel pretty recently (from Prebuilt praising your base designs), so I don’t know if you’ve already done something like this - just seems like it might be interesting, and while I’ve never been on a PVP-heavy server so I’m not sure how things go there, it seems it might even preserve some valuables from looting.
@@WaywardEko i hope way down the line they're included in a mod like darkness falls or something. Hopefully after Alpha 9017 or whenever the final build will be and the game is released we get a complete game that doesn't botch saves after every new update... Then those community mods will be fricken awesome :D before these new fancy POIs it was the fan mades that usually had tiers and cool scenes that told a story(usually a struggle but sometimes way more interesting). Would love to get back into the game then. For now I vicariously live through your content lol
@@WaywardEko yeah, it would! Hopefully they take your constructive addition with an open mind. I know they'd have to have a "weeding out" system for tier 6 loot in a single room type additions but I'm sure the playerbase could flag those easy enough. No one wants loot handed to them in this type of game. Unless it's in a single room of floor to ceiling zombies lol project zomboid style lol

Pretty clever pay-wallling your creations. Regardless of the justification or work that went into this, it's still not your intellectual property. Won't be getting a single cent from me, but I'll buy a copy of the game for a friend.
That's cool. I provide tons of base build vids and stuff for FREE. I host 3 servers for my community for FREE. I spend 60-80 hours a week on top of my day job to make vids. I am under no obligation to share my creations for free. I've had people ask for me to do build tutorials on these massive bases that sometimes take 40-80 hours to build and there is no way to do it. Patreon was the best method, and yes - I'm pushing to make a living off of this cause that is my passion. Hope you enjoyed the bases and take some inspiration from them!

No one is holding a gun to your head telling you to sub. Won't be getting a single cent from me... Well, you'll be getting a dislike from me every time your negative attitude is seen by me. @@aseroxd Get permission from the devs for what? Building his own bases and uploading them for others to use??? Lol. I know of at least 4 content creators who do this and EVEN THE DEVELOPERS themselves have commented on their videos, so the developers are FULLY AWARE OF THIS and if you didn't realize that, then you are extremely blind.
