just finished the double. a little upset with the ending, some of it was so unnecessarily. wont specify so i don't spoil anything for others. but it was good over all.

The Double is my choice for drama of the year outstanding show. So many people did not truly understand the show, In particular the scene where she plays the piano, saying that the CGI ruined it either haven't truly listened while watching or they themselves do not understand the hypocrisy in this entire episode. Here they all stand the elite the worthy and the spoilt off spring who bully their way through life looking down on those less fortunate. Taking out anyone who they deem below them or are not worthy in any means they like. The sign says which is flashed on right through that scene reads SCHOOL OF INTERGRITY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which should stand for the qualities of being honest and having strong moral principles that refuse to change even if that means standing alone which is what she is doing: No one doubts those at the same level but they destroy and kill those they view as a threat with this scene she pours out all her sorrow and pain and the fate in which she was dealt all she and Jiang Li whose persona she had to steal to survive unimaginable pain and suffering at the hands of those who should have loved and protected them. The emotions needed to be shown to match the music and in this they did succeed. She meets two monsters one who is supposed to be the monster and feared by the public. The other disguised as an upstanding member of society with a beautiful gifted wife, only one of those truly deserve the monster title. The other loved her and protected her from the get go. The other she thought loved her he tried to kill her and then buried her but she was still alive. Imagine the horror and pain of been buried alive. That scene alone was phenomenal but all I have seen is people critiquing it and I guess they have that right but for me it put what the show was about in that one scene. Wu Jinyan is outstanding in this role, I dislike watching her in modern drama's but put her in period drama's and she nails it time and time again. Yanxi Palace Royal Feast and many more. The Story of Rose was good but it lost it's way and credibility and this happens quite often in Chinese drama's the go on to long. Introducing characters that did not need to be added. The fact that the daughter grew up but the parents didn't lost if for me. All who are in it are phenomenal in their roles it was dragged out far to long. It is very much an adult drama slow going intense and showing all relationships from parent to child sibling to sibling wives mothers husbands all complicated but love will win
