Pausing the video at 10:24 to say, yes!, please do a video about IKEA plants, plant pots, etc. I always want to spend a lot of time in that section of the store to try and figure out what goes together nicely, but that is the same department where there are always so. many. people.
I know your channel is not geared to crafters, but I was thrilled to find wooden boards to cover the Raskog carts. For $10, they add functionality to these fantastic carts. As a quilter I was delighted to discover that my small cutting mat is almost the same size, so now I have a moveable cutting surface where ever I need it.
Hi. I have two of those carts... They are perfect for a cat wanting to lay next to you size. I must be tired but I missed which item you're referring to to cover the carts. It's probably in here and I'm just tired because I'm old and need to take my senior moment medicine. Ha ha. Could you let me know which item he was talking about? Unless it's the strange bamboo thing you can fold over the end of your couch...I was just curious. Also I had a real find that IKEA about a year ago that you would have liked. For $19.99 (YES!) in the checkout area they had the Raskog cart in kind of a deep russet color. I never saw it before and I never saw it since. They hold one big cat with a fluffy blankie on top level. And then all the other stuff we should have,below. .And I grabbed one of those suckers...Joy-Joy (A very abused Maine coon) claimed my deep gray one. The russet color is perfect for Taylor,. It's definitely on trend. Ha ha. She is white with tabby ears and a tabby tail. And she looks delightful with the rust color. One must coordinate. That's what they keep telling me on RU-vid videos. I have six cats. I don't color coordinate. But with the battle over, no more discussing who's going to sit in the cart when the other one gets down to go get something to drink. But these carts are the absolute best cart for how versatile they are. When they first came out they were almost 50 bucks. But they kept bringing the price down. So I got off track, I apologize. But I wondered which item you were using in the cart. Much thanks I hope you have a peaceful and gentle Christmas time. If that's what you want. As he says. No judging. Love these. I wasn't aware of some so thanks for the heads up! I also appreciate that you're not snobby about IKEA. Some of their things are pretty cheap but there are many amazing and well designed things that I totally appreciate!
I love the look of the TJILLEVIPS square basket. I think that if I was using it to store something like, say, office supplies or a bunch of small items, I would make a little liner for the bottom of it out of white mat board or something. I'd maybe even have it come up the sides by a few inches and seal the seams with tape. That way it's easier to find things near the bottom of the basket.

I use the dröna boxes in my kallax. While not as cute or natural looking as the jute basket, I think those are better if you need something that would better hold their structure/shape. They come in many plain colour or patterns.
One of my favourite IKEA items are the USB flexi light for tablets, phones and laptops. The flexi light is wonderful to use in low lit areas and was only £2. A lovely little stocking filler.
The glass in Ikea… when I was in college, ten years ago more or less, one glass broke in my hand, only because of the temperature difference. I’m glad they change the quality
you crack me up SO much, especially that camping/ patio bit near the ending hahaha! Also here to comment that a potted/ plant specific video would be AWESOME! especially if you pointed out types of easy to care for indoor plants, or even which ones pet owners should avoid. or just an "IKEA best of pots" would be wonderful! that section tends to overwhelm me bc I go there in yoga pants but there always seems to be tons of well put together, gorgeous boho babes that know exactly what they want... meanwhile I stare at the selection, unsure of anything + then just continue past the instagram models towards the checkout in my comfy outfit shame lol.
Ha ha, I have about half of these: the coasters, the armrest thing, phone holder, plant stand, cushion covers. Tip: use the phone holder and an old smart phone and a full-screen clock app for an extra clock on a nightstand in a guest room, or anywhere you want a clock at a quick glance.
The phone holder is super light and small - I used to throw it in my purse to use with my iPad at the coffeeshop or library, sometimes with a light-weight keyboard to make a sort of laptop.
My phone was literally in that exact phone stand while watching this video 😅 I keep it in the kitchen so I can watch videos while cooking/dishwashing. Can recommend.
The forsegla lids are also a life saver in the spring and summer when there are bugs that will land in your drinks. Before I bought them I had to pour too many delicious drinks down the drain because a fruit fly decided to die in it. The one down side though is if the drink is hot/steamy it will make everything smell and taste a bit like bamboo. It's not a bad smell but it does change the experience.
Nice! I'd maybe buy most of these! Functional + attractive. The glass one would be beautiful with some cut flowers or a branch. Seeing their stems or whole branch is a look.
Me first minute in, pausing the video to check if my ikea has bamboo arm rest as my cup of coffee is balancing dangerously on a book on my sofa's arm rest.

The 365 stuff is always good. At one time the 365 was the only cookware that was induction cooking. To buy a whole massive amount of it. But a good skillet. Good sauce pan. It really works well. And this is now 2024 and I still use some of my 365 cookware. Yes it is that good
I’m impressed by your confident pronunciation of these products. If that were me, every word would end up at a higher pitch. You know, like when you’re questioning yourself and the high pitch at the end is basically the equivalent of an “idk shoulder shrug.”

Hi Nick. Another great video - thank you. I only have ONE plastic container in my home, and it's used for watermelon. When I buy a melon I immediately cut it up when I get them home. I cook a lot of Italian meals and I learnt years ago that the sauce stains plastic containers, I used to store some sauce or leftover pasta in a bowl with a pice of plastic wrap over the top. Thanks again for another fantastic video.
In Sweden we love to buy wine in bag-in-box, that's where a nice pitcher is perfect. Pour the wine in the pitcher, let it have a air, and it looks MUCH nicer than serving your guests from a box! Even if it's just you and your neighbor, dressed in rags, watching that silly TV series that everyone else hates. If it looks better, it tastes better.
I am using an old plate holder from a Chinatown store to hold my Ipad but it is flimsy and collapsing very easily so I think I will open my wallet for this $2.00 Ikea wood holder next time I go to Ikea which will definitely be an improvement!!!
I have the Sanela cushion covers, they are really good and nice and if I need to change colors I just change the covers and save space, love these Ikea small useful items, thanks, there were a couple I did not know they have like the phone holder, happy holidays.
I love the ikea 365+ glass storage containers, but for anything that will get wet/damp I prefer the glass lids. The bamboo seems very nice for dry goods though. I love that the same size lid can fit multiple sized containers, and that you can buy them each on their own, so you can get more of exactly what you need when things wear out / break / you find out you just use that size all the time. Even the plastic lids with the folding tabs that look super flimsy have held up very well. I really hope they never get rid of this line.

Oh I know how the Crodeby would go in my house: place glass down, continue whatever, start talking, swing arm while making a statement, knock drink over. My husband, on the meantime, would just forget the drink he just put down was there and knock it off the minute he leaned against the arm.
Bergenes! My iPad is an extension of my arm. I bought one for every surface in my home... kitchen counter, end tables, bedside tables, next to my computer on my desk. Seriously, I bought like ten. I now have my arm back.

Interesting video. Interesting because I have not seen many (most?) of these products at Ikea. In the recent past I have shopped at Ikea in Rego Park, Queens, NY, Redhook, Bklyn, NY, LI, NY and Philadelphia, PA (don't ask) and have not seen many of these in those stores. I have come to realize that while there seems to be a core group of items offered at all stores, there is merchandise that is offered regionally. I will be on the look out for some of these products and I am glad that you have brought them to my attention.
I wish they would make a nice wall phone shelf, to put near the electric plug for charging. I’ve only seen hideous plastic ones, so I have to use extension cords. A white wood one would be great. My iPhone only has a three-foot charge cord, and my accessible electrical outlets are all near the floor (pre-electric era house, I’m lucky to have the few I do have). I’ve tried extra-long charge cords, but they’re not Apple-approved and damaged the charge ports on my last iPad and iPhone, which I had to replace. They don’t switch out the old charge ports anymore, it used to be a paid-repair option.

Finally managed to buy one Crodeby bamboo armrest today. It has been shown only available in store for weeks (but the local store has been closed since two weeks ago due to new government regulations). But today I happened to see it became available. :)
The IKEA phone holder is cute but don’t get caught out like I did, you can’t use it if your phone has a cover, my cover is pretty thin and it just does not fit. Pretty but impractical for anyone who has a phone cover
Hi Nick I'm a new subscriber! Love your videos so far. I'm currently getting ready to build a house and you've already helped me a ton. I would love to hear your thoughts on pet friendly furniture that still looks fashionable. It's difficult because woven fabric furniture and real leather is a no go when you have large fluffy dogs that love to climb on the furniture and scratch it. In case anyone might say just don't let them on it, they are at my house far more than I am so I don't think its really fair to limit their access to the furniture.
