With regards to this list, there's a pet store in Las Vegas, NV called Exotic Pets where they can special order any animal from aardvark to zebra for you. If you go to their store, they specialize in reptiles and amphibians and once had a bobcat on display for sale.
My family has a Cavachon we named Pixie. She's easily excitable and oftentimes rather hyper, but she's a sweet and sometimes even shy little girl, and she loves meeting new people.
We have 4 cats in our home. We started with one, rescued 2 young cats who were abandoned, then took in my father's cat when he passed away. Our oldest cat succumbed to diabetes and pancreatitis, which meant we had three. We moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina with the cats in our RV in 2015. In the fall of 2016, a very pregnant cat showed up in our yard and was adopted after being unable to find her owners. She had a litter of 4 a week after arriving! We found good homes for the kittens and mom was neutered and microchipped for safety.
Why can't some people have common sense? If it has sharp teeth/claws and will grow to be a lot bigger and stronger than you, don't get it as a pet! Why would anyone want a bear, alligator, hippo, or lion as a pet? They can kill you! Stick to dogs, cats, rabbits (where legal), and rodents.

Also tigers and panthers. There have been people owning them. Of course most end up badly because the tiger/panther would end up hurting the owner whether on purpose or accidently. Some owners actually died because of the injuries that their pet has caused. People if you really want to own a panther or tiger? GET A CAT! I promise you, you wont die from it and they are easier and legal to handle!
Please do another list and include tigers and elephants. Even if it's not illegal, it is not a good idea. I worked at a zoo where one of their elephants was a pet until she was two years old. She lived in their garage. She also imprinted on humans and does not get along well with other elephants.

It's illegal to own a large parrot like a macaw or cockatoo without a permit in Australia but in America you can just go out and buy a macaw WITH NO EXPERIENCE and most parrots end up being caged for their hole life's it's sad...(macaws are the classic pirate parrot bird)
My mom's crazy uncle got rich selling authentic first-edition copies of comic books and bought a bunch of chimpanzees. He had to put shock collars on their genitals because they were very stubborn and unruly and didn't listen to chock collars on their necks. That was literally the only way he could control them.
I have a cat currently. People often make jokes that I have had some crazy pets in my childhood as my father had owned a private zoo which I worked at during the summers and sometimes the winters. But I got to tell you no matter how cute or awesome the animals were, They were not my pets. Yes there were certain animals like the yaks, certain wolves, a couple horses, goats, ostriches and such that I prefered but That is because I had a bond with them. I have also handled owls, hawks and such too I love how they look and love when they are near, but would rather see them living happy in their natural habitat.
i own 2 pitbull-mixes that are rescues, one of which has clipped ears, as she was rescued from a dog fighting ring. So, respectfully, we have named them Ducky and Daffodil. we also have a parakeet named Partly (she looks like a partly cloudy sky) and 2 cats, one who think she's a dog (seriously, she has been know to eat a piece of dog food), and a cat that once gave Daffy a bloody nose. oh, and they are all very loving animals. so yeah robbers, next time, don't even think about it, my animals will kill yo face.
Yeah it's probably an awesome idea not to own big cats *at all!* Lions (my favourite animals), tigers (my second favourite animals) leopards & jaguars are *definitely* no exception!
Trippy? Trippy? Nooooooooo! Have you never seen The Birds or even heard of Hitchcock? Tippy Hedren was Hitchcock's obsession. She was in several of his movies. She also owns a rescue for big cats and featured them in the movie Roar which almost killed her. But the refuge still exists.
Two dogs and a cat. But would love to have ferrets, rats, sugar gliders aka sugar bears, and a fennec fox. I would have put wallaby on the list but I don't have the farm land for it.
I have rabbits but when they gets a few months or a few years old the axe comes down very quick completely harmless and we have fried rabbit for dinner some of you will say it cruel but we live in the country side and it the circle of life we hunt for are food we do not waste are food but we do keep some animal as pets like cats, dogs, chicken, goats and we have a pond that we go fishing in but we do have a gator in the pond so don't go swimming in it
I live in NSW Australia and I have little cousins in Queensland and they wouldn't believe me that I had a rabbit. Also fun fact, magicians ARE allowed to have rabbits in QLD
I can understand the temptation to own a red panda. They're very cute and the fur color is gorgeous! (But it still isn't right!) When I was a child we had a pet baby caiman, until one of our cats got it. :-(
I'd have a pet bear... if it were as small as a gerbil. Actually the same goes for a crocodile. Hey, mad scientists! Get in on making tiny versions of big animals for the pet market!
We have 20 adult cats and 4 3 week old kittens, a pit bull, and i have a gerbil at my mom's. At my dad's we have 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 chickens we also have bees :3 so yeah thats all my family pets lmao

My sister has a "chillchilla" (as I call him) named martin, these little puff balls are soooooo high maintenance, why would you want a more difficult pet? ie. Alligator, bear, a freaking loris? Lol
If alligators are illegal, then it must be a crocodile I see in a pet shop in Brentwood. Btw I own a bearded dragon and two corn snakes, we have three family pets, all cats.
i have 2 beautiful cats who are almost 11 years old from the same litter. my friend owns their mum and i met them when they were one day old and my kitty angel chose me by crawling over to me within a minute of me first laying eyes on him and he is lying on my bed as i write this
