BTW they did not reprofile I305 due to the black outs they reprofiled it because that one section caused the wheels on the train to wear out way sooner than they were supposed too
@Cade Meekins no. It always had otsrs from day 1. Op is only half right, they reprofiled it because it was shredding wheels (you could visibly see parts of the blue polyurethane wheels at the bottom of the first drop and turn) AND the grey-outs. I experienced it before they added the temp-trims on the drop and the re-profile. It would cause the entire train to black/grey out.
I went on that and one the launch surprised me (I knew it was a launching coaster but I was not expecting it) and two if you don't hold your head right it slams against the back of the seat. I wasn't a huge fan of it.
As a person who's home park is Hersheypark, while sure, the launch is great, if I had the put an element from that coaster there, it would be the flying snake dive.
I agree with a lot of this! I think if I had to pick an airtime moment as the most intense, it would be Skyrush’s first drop, back seat. That kink in the drop is NUTS
On many of my more recent CP visits, the trims on Raptor have been off or lighter than normal. Also at CP, the second half of Steel Vengeance (especially with MCBR off), Magnum's run of airtime hills back to the station, Dragster's launch, and the second launch of Maverick are all intense
Two times as an adult I've actually involuntarily screamed on a coaster. 1. First ride, first drop on Griffon at BGW 2. First time going over the lift hill head first on Superman Ultimate Flight at SFOG But the most intense joy I can remember is hitting that second launch on Velocicoaster this year and being propelled over the top hat.
I think the first loop on manta at sea world Orlando is pretty intense in the way it pushes you right down and back into your seat. It may not be that impressive but that is the only flying coaster I have ridden and that element makes it one of my favourite if not my favourite coaster.
The most intense moments i have ridden: 1.Kärnan (After the Drop) 2.Olympialooping's both double loops 3.Nemesis's Helix 4.Taron's Overbank after the S-Turns 5.Oziris's Immelman
Tornado at Bakken might have the most intense drop on any roller coaster in the world. The ride's 39ft tall and goes 32 mph, so it sounds dumb. But this Intamin spinning coaster's drop goes really steep very suddenly, while also turning, and because the lift hill launches you, you get thrown into it, and it feels like you're getting slammed into by a truck. It's so incredibly intense, and you have to brace yourself for the insane airtime and laterals, which all hit you at their strongest out of nowhere; not to mention it hits 5G at the bottom of the drop, and the car also spins
Not a single element but the first 3 inversions of Flight of Fear at Kings Island and Kings Dominion. Directly after being launched out of the station you pull up into a cobra roll followed by a sidewinder. Taking those at full speed in the dark leaves me questioning which way is up for a moment every time.
I was kinda hoping to see the final drop and inclined helix at the end of The Beast at King's Island. The slowly rising speed until the train flips on its side and slams into that first tunnel is one of my favorite moments on any coaster
that is neutered by the mid-course brakes. however, her sister, titan at over texas (my home park) has a 540-degree (1.5 rotations) helix right before the MCBs, making it more forceful.
I dont want to sound racist or play stereotypes, but I sat next to a black dude on Manta and it was one of the most entertaining things I've ever experienced.
I rode Millennium Force for the first time this past weekend, and it ain't forceless as the nickname suggests. I was surprised how sustained the graying out was. It didn't cause a total vision loss but still some of the strongest graying out I've experienced. Also, the airtime hills gave me plenty of floater air and the little speed hill at the end was nice too. Other parts of the ride were causing some minor graying out as well, so by no means is this a forceless ride to me. It wasn't even a hot day and sunny day when I went, so I have to try it in the summer.
Kings Island used to be my home park, and the ending helix on the vortex us killer. Not super intense g force wise but if you don't brave for it, it'll knock you out. Those old arrows don't mess around
Stealth at Thorpe Parks launch is really intense 4th fastest in the world. For those of you aren’t familiar with stealth it has the same layout as Kingda Ka only the top hat is 205 feet tall and the top speed is 80 mph
Maybe I've ridden it too many times but I don't find the corkscrew on Batman to be that intense. It provides some intense forces on the feet as you stated but for me it's a brief enough moment I wouldn't rank it as high as 6. I may be biased as this element is at my home park but I would rate the downward helix of Goliath as a more intense.
#1 should have been the bottom of the valley after the break run on Green Lantern at SFMM. The list is most intense and not most fun. That was EASILY the most intense and also the most painful element I have ever experienced on any ride. I honestly can't believe that SF thought Goliath was too intense but then just a few hundred feet away they had Green Lantern. I honestly can't believe that they ever opened it to the public and that while it was open that it didn't kill anybody.
That final turn that comes close to the lift hill, if thats what youre talking about, i would definitely agree with. My eyes almost popped out of my head
@@AirtimeThrills Yes that is exactly what I'm talking about. I too felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head. Only ride in my entire life that made me see stars.
"I-305 looks too intense for me" even though I rode it and only grayed out. My sisters however full on blacked out for about 60% of the ride starting at that turn.
Idk if it’s just me or is Mille’s first overbank more intense than I305s first corner (after the makeover). In the front you grey out and it really makes the following corner surprising. (I’ll fight the I305 fanboys)
I have to disagree about Tatsu's Pretzel loop. I've ridden Tatsu, Manta, Air, and SUF (SFGAm), and Manta is way more intense than Tatsu. I was actually disappointed when I rode Tatsu because it was nowhere near as intense as Manta was and Manta still retains its place as one of my favorite coasters.
The most intense moment I’ve written is the launch on storm runner I bought so bad I want to burn the pretzel loops as I’m next to Six Flags great America I mean great adventure
The overbank turn on the Mr freeze clones are also super intense on the way back. Since the train needs to have enough momentum to go up the taller top hat it HAULS through that over bank turn and then through top hat.
@@tabsicegiant369 true, but the premise of the ride is exactly the same: launch, top hat, overbank, launch up, spike, launch down, overbank, top hat, brakes.
Before I watch I’m gusessing el toros twister section and I 305 s entire layout Edit: I was right with I 305 but Im so dumb for not saying tatsu or montu
Love Millennium Force's first overbank, I somehow gray out every time. I guess I just get lucky with how well it runs for me. I'll be riding Titan in May, but given Goliath was probably a good preview, I'm ready for some good forces. Also very excited for Shock Wave. Mind Bender's loops were super forceful and I loved that about it, I expect Shock Wave to be the same. Xcelerator looks great. Maxx Force-esque launch into a top hat sounds like a blast. Batman's corkscrews are awesome, though I'd argue that whole ride deserves a place on an intense list. Montu's batwing was insane. Trimless in the back row... wow. I'd put Nemesis on a list like this as well (the first tight helix and final corkscrew) Mr. Freeze is ridiculously intense, the last time I marathoned it was May 2018 and I greyed out every time. I remember X2's final raven turn being a lot of fun, but I think the first drop is more intense, personally. X2 is also somehow one of the only coasters I've ridden where I remember every second of the experience (why it's a Top 5/10 coaster) Tatsu's pretzel loop was amazing, though I wouldn't place it at #2. Damn I want to ride i305 really badly... hopefully I find some cheap air deals to like DC or another nearby city next summer.
Excellent list! Mr. Freeze's top hat is perfection. I have yet to ride Xcelerator and Montu, but I would personally add Skyrush's stengel dive and The Beast's final helix to your list.
I prefer airtime to intensity, so I sometimes think I don't appreciate my home park (SFOT) as much as I should. 4 places on this list belong to it for a reason! Out of the intense coasters mentioned at SFOT, Shockwave is my personal favorite, and my number 2 in the park behind NTG.
I have not been on Sky Rush or El Toro but I believe they could crack the Top 10. Lightning Rod Quad down should be on the list. I completely agree with the pretzel loop on Tatsu, the right turn in I-305, and almost any element on X2.
