All might once said “the most explosive hearts are usually the most fragile.” I love him cuz although he is very loud and mad all the time, he isn’t like that all the time. When the entire class was punished for doing something (when they moved into the dorms) Bakugou made Kaminari do his thumb thing to make the rest of his class happy. He cares about them even if he doesn’t show it.

My boy canonically has anxiety. In a scene shown after the first training class with All Might (Iida & Bakugo vs. Uraraka & Midoriya) He is portrayed as having a panic attack. Breathing heavily, panting, trembling and overthinking Midoriya's win. He is anxious about others becoming better than him. He thinks All Might's retirement was his fault, when it was bound to happen anyway. His extreme inferiority and superiority complex eats him away. His mother is what many would call abusive. Her harsh words are almost never what a child should hear. She has previously hit him, and you can see why many people find this abusive. He most likely has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder considering the fact he was kidnapped by villains to be pressured to join 'the dark side'. He probably smells like caramel! His sweat works like nitroglycerin, and nitroglycerin is said to smell like burnt sugar. Caramel is burnt sugar. So, if it is like nitroglycerin, he probably doesn't smell stinky like we thought. It's very likely he smells like candy.

Fun Fact: Midoriya calls Bakugou “Kacchan” becuase “Chan” is someone who is close to you, (in Japanese) so Deku took the first two letters of Bakugou’s first name (K̲a̲tsuki) and added Chan since they are childhood friends which makes them close to eachother and Midoriya came up with “Kacchan”

He looks up to All Might just as much as Deku, he's great at cooking and cleaning, he's organized, intelligent, resourceful, goes to bed early, and is one of the top students in class. Pretty sure his grade is even higher than Deku's- not to mention he sometimes tutors members of the Bakusquad.

Everyone says that they like him because "He kicks ass," or "He's super attractive" He's my favorite character because he reminds me of someone I know. Pretending to be tough and (sometimes) mature but he's hurting inside. No one ever cares if he feels sadness or pain. They just scream at him when he shows anger; ignoring any other emotion he has. Sometimes I wonder if he tossed aside the decent pieces of himself just to please those around him who had judged him based on his quirk. Thinking he was emotionally impulsive and downright cruel. But if you think about him as a little kid, he was happy. He wouldn't make rude remarks as much and he wouldn't go completely out of his way to hurt others. Don't you think there's a reason he wants to be hero other than a villain?

I Honestly Love Bakugo! You can't change my mind about it!! Because Bakugo is by far the most Interesting Character in MHA, or *He has the Most Character Development in MHA.* While Everyone is just... The same Except for Todoroki. You see... I don't really understand what's so Special about Deku... I mean, I don't see any Character Development from him at all... Just same old Kind protagonist. But other than that I don't see anything else. Bakugo on the other hand is Different He's a Jerk, He is Rude, He has Anger Issues and He is Amazing in his own way. Because unlike Deku, He has a Big Improvement on his Character. Throughout the show you can clearly see that His starting to Open up to others... Starting to accept the others as friends. And He's growing up

Deku isn't a bad character at all, but he _is_ a pretty basic protagonist with a basic heroic personality and morals. My sister heavily disagrees with me on this, she calls me basic for liking Bakugo over Midoryia, but that's probably because of the age difference. From a distance, it's hard to tell how one character development is more satisfying than the other. Maybe it's basic to prefer the most well-liked character on the show, just keep in mind that there's a _reason_ that character is so well-liked. Even if it's over the protagonist.

bakugou was the main reason i wanted to watch more bnha because i immediately loved him when he showed up. i think he's just a fun/funny character but also really intense and complicated so his development is great to watch too. i just hate when people are assholes to me for liking his character; ironic that the reason they hate bakugou so much is because he's an asshole.

i think i really started loving his character when I saw the fight between him and uraraka in the sports festival. While everyone around him were telling him to take it easy on her and that hes using too much force on a girl, he doesnt care about her gender and fights her just as he would anyone. it shows that even though he’s foul mouthed, has bullying tendencies and a problematic past he’s complex in a way where that and his genius, his values and his goals can coexist with his rough personality. he’s not the typical happy go lucky kind character, he has a complexity that draws people in as the story goes on. i think people overlook his own pain because he’s constantly angry and swearing about, but this guy has been attacked and restrained by a villain, kidnapped, and deals with the physical and mental stress that UA puts on him. In most cases, people would have PTSD and other lasting effects after having been through that. But he pushes it all down because his resolve to be a hero is so strong, and defaults to his anger and pride as a driving force towards his goal. he’s extremely talented sure, but he works EXTREMELY hard. Even with a strong quirk, he still strives for more, looking for new techniques and uses for it instead of lying back and relying solely on the strength of his quirk. When he was kidnapped by the league, they thought that because of his personality he’d be the easiest student to turn into a villain. But it was quite the opposite. I think he’d rather die than be a villain, honestly. Also, the dude was born on 4/20. nice.

Bakugou was raised in a household were his mom basically taught him that mean, loud, and rude = love. He knew that his mom loved him but always was yelled at by her and physically and mentally hurt. He doesn’t see the issue in the way he is (or just started seeing it recently) meaning he doesn’t think he’s being mean. He truly thinks that that is how you are supposed to show affection. But that is just my theory anyway.

it seems like everytime a creator tries to make a “bad” character, they always turn out fan-favorites. Take Levi. He was designed to be a hardass that everyone was afraid of, and his character design was actually intended to be UNattractive. Look how well that worked. Bakugo is my favourite character. I feel like so many people don’t understand him. Sure he’s a cocky and arrogant jerk, but that’s not all he has to his character. He has an inferiority complex because of being spoon fed praise and compliments when he was younger. Bakugo was used to winning, so he doesn’t know how to react to failure. Deku, being quirkless and weak suddenly gained a powerful quirk and is slowly learning how to use his quirk intelligently; and it scares Bakugo. He’s afraid that a “quirkless loser” would surpass him. He doesn’t like being helped, because he thinks of needing help to be associated with the weak. Deku tried to help him, but Bakugo didn’t want the “weak” Deku to help him, in-fact he didn’t want anyone’s help. We all know Bakugo wants to surpass All Might and become the number one hero, which is another reason why I think he bullied Deku, Deku had the natural hero instinct inside of him, something Bakugo didn’t have. But we can see that he has improved, slowly, but he’s improving nonetheless. Anyway I’ll stop ranting, I’m not good with words so I don’t think I can properly explain my thoughts.

I appreciate Deku and Bakugo’s relationship. There are a lot of thins that Deku can’t get away with, for example, checking up on Bakugo to see if he is hurt. Asking Bakugo if he needs help. But the one thing I love is the Deku has been calling Bakugo “Kachan” through out the whole show and Bakugo never once told Deku to stop. No matter how much he was bullying him.

I think Bakugo is a likeable character because no one tried to make him likable. They gave him flaws and fleshed him out. Usually, when a character with ill intent towards the main character has a backstory, it is tragic and sad. Yet, Bakugo's is simple - he was praised to the point where he thought that being number one was his purpose. It's simple yet effective. As well as the main audience for My Hero Academia(Boku no Hero Academia) is 13-17 years old. As a part of that age range, I can confirm that his aggression towards others and his desire to be the best is relatable, even if it is blown out of proportion. Everyone wants to find what makes them stand out, what they win at where no one else does, and this age is when you find it. Bakugo simply wants to win at everything. His simple character and flawed personality makes him a easily digestible character, unlike other characters in his position that seem to have tragic and not plausible backstories. Thank you for reading my ideas, thank you for making this video, and thank you for your effort. I hope my two-cents help you in your quest to find Bakugo's appeal.

1 fact about the name "Katsuki Bakugo" did you know that someone bought a piece of the moon and named it Katsuki Bakugo and sent it to Horikoshi as a gift. Horikoshi thanked the person and even posted it on twitter

What I love the most about him is that he's always so mad. It's not because I find it funny, or it's an interesting character choice or anything, I just can relate to it. He's broken. He's hiding behind a tough face, while he's falling apart. He thinks so highly of himself because he knows there are people better than him, and he's sick of it always happening to him. He's trying his hardest to hold on to his childhood dream of being better than All Might, but if there is someone like Deku in front of him he can't do what he's always wanted to do. This is why I like him. He's sort of like me.

Bakugo is my favorite character because he's the character I can relate to the most (Man, did I really make it sound like that ?). He has a huge superiority complex, if someone is better than him at something, he just can't accept it and will work his hardest to get better. It's his motivation. And that's why I'm relating to him that much. And that's why I love him. I also like the fact that he's too proud to get helped by anyone, just like me. If someone helps him, it hurts his pride. When Midoriya says "It looked like your eyes were calling for help", he says "I didn't ask for anything, I didn't need your help, I don't owe you anything." He just doesn't want people to see his weaknesses. And I can relate a lot. Even when I know that I need help, it takes a lot of time for me to accept it. And to say "Be my cane". And me asking for help is pretty much impossible. So, yeah, I share this common point with Bakugo. And I really like his soft side too, how he's actually a very organized and perfectionist person. How he's always the first to go to sleep, or how you even see him brush his teeth. And the fact that the only one he can vent to is Midoriya. Honnestly did you notice it ? I'm writting that much even though I'm french and insecure about my english.

My favorite thing about Bakugo is how you know when he has a mutual respect for another student by calling them by their actual names, When Kirishima asked Bakugo to team with him in the calvary battle Bakugo called him "Weird hair" and then when Kirishima appealed to Bakugo's drive to be number one, Kirishima was the only student he calls by his name, he called Mina "Racoon eyes", Sero was "weird elbows" or somethin like that, but he called Kirishima, "Kirishima" the same with Uraraka, after his 1v1 with her, Bakugo respected her effort against him, and he now refers to her by her name "Uraraka"

He’s a complex character who needs to grow the most. He says he’s the best but he actually works really hard to be the best. He cooks, he cleans, plays the drums, studies hard, goes to bed on time (dork) trains hard, goes past his limits, he’s got passion and drive. He takes his goals very seriously and it pisses him off when other people don’t do the same. Honestly I believe he encourages the class to improve because of his competitiveness. But what I love most about Bakugo, is that he’s a horribly flawed person. He doesn’t have a tragic backstory of why he is the way he is. That’s all on him. And that’s why it’ll be great when he grows into a better person. We want him to become a friendlier guy, we want him to succeed. Not to mention he’s actually genuinely a good guy who wants to be a hero. He had a chance to become a villain but he didn’t take it. He’d tell people to “die” but still rescues them. He’s a blatant tsundere

I like bakugou because he shows the most room to improve. At first I absolutely hated him. I thought he was the rudest meanest person unworthy of becoming number one hero, but as the story progresses you get to see more sides to him. He progressively got better and has a more (in my opinion) character depth than Deku. I just really, really, really like how he has gradually become a more in depth character. I believe that's what makes him the most likeable character despite him being made to be the most unlikable character.

Fun fact: horikoshi , when he changed Bakugou to an explosive character , as said , he thought Bakugou will be a very unlikable character... but when he saw the huge amount of engagement Bakugou is getting, he decided to give him character improvement and development. So you see, that’s why Bakugou changes (to the better( every season, every episode. Also, if u read the chapter 285 of the manga... you’ll know. I cried when I saw/read it
