Pacing yourself is really important, as is getting your gearing right. There's over 4,200m of climbing on the long course! Don't forget to eat and drink, pack the right kit and train well in advance for the event!

Thanks GCN Team - Did the Marathona dles Dolomites today and your tips were super helpful. Especially to not over pace at the beginning and the Campolongo. Most of the super speed rider i catched at the Pordoi and left the behind ;-) So thanks for that helpful video combined with the video where you ride the Maratona.

oh! to be in Europe and watch a cycling tour live and on the trail!! That guy in the intro, sitting on the side of the rode after having ridden in to watch the race and to cheer on the racers...that would be me! Someday soon, I hope.

People should really practice to ride on their own, if you train with people regularly it makes it soo much easier therefore not having to put as much effort in. You should be able to know how to motivate yourself, if not well then start

Hi folks! I´ve signed in for the 30th Dolomites on the next July 03rd and I'm in doubt on choosing my wheels. I've a wheelset of Shimano RS80-50mm depth with a Powertap hub on the rear and a regular Shimano RS 11. Do you think choosing a 50mm for this race is a mistake? Maybe a regular on the front and the 50mm on the rear to use the Power Tap? Opinions are welcome! Nice rides for everybody!

why would you need 4 tubes?

Piotrini In case you get 4 flats, which is highly unlikely.

Piotrini Because you could have amazingly bad luck and get factory faulty tubes on a long ride. had that experience before and it will totally ruin your week and also like Jade Cleveland said you also could get 4 flats or be a nice guy and help someone else out if they get a flat.
