Although I spend on my main, my alt has E2 or better and S1 Mei, Acheron, Topaz, Swan and Huo Huo with enough saved up to get the same for Aventurine when he returns.. That way I'll never hit a wall on my main and can test characters I want on my main
I don't get it man. All these nerds on twitch saying the combat is stupid simple and boring. I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone.. lmfao I just don't get it. I'm having so much fun with the combat and I'm a guy that enjoys games like Elden Ring, Monster Hunter World, etc

loving the content so far man, wasnt really thinking about getting the game cause i already play all the other hoyo games and adding one more seems like a lot. but your content inspired me to try it out since i also love fighting games. I am doing a F2P pure account where I dont spend or use any pulls and see what i can accomplish. I did this for every hoyo game and its a fun challenge to see how far i can go before the power creep makes it impossible.

coming from genshin which heavily focuses on horizontal investment to access a variety of teams and team variations this is interesting to hear. i personally enjoyed making sure all my team members were invested enough to be competent in spiral abyss but i definitely had some stand out teams that were more capable
Got Rina on standard and a copy of her from shark girl banner so now I'm planning on using my selector on her as well! Really loving her with anby and trying to switch over to anton from billy but I just love billys play style so much

Hoping for some sick units in 1.1, Ellen looks nice and I do imagine she'll be good for a while, but figure I may as well save for someone I actually want and not just "ooooh shiny DPS". So here's hoping I can save enough for a character + Engine by that point.
The obly thing I dont agree with you on is the vertical investement. Gacha games and especially Hoyo is known for punishibg you for not having a diverse cast. 100% there gonna be content that will need elemental check or X mechanism is required.
I'm ok not seeing "big numbers" as long as I'm clearing content at end of day. My struggle now is really understanding all the different w-engines and effects

I’m coming into ZZZ wanting to try out the game, but there’s no 5 star characters on the roster that’s grabbing my attention not even standard 5 star characters. The units I’m most interested in at the moment happen to be 4 stars. Is it possible to hyper invest into a 4 star and still see worth? Even if it’s a force build? Like for example in genshin impact fischl is an off field dps but if I really wanted to I can force her as an on field physical dps. Can I do that with someone like Nicole or Lucy? Like theoretically can I make Nicole a main dps even though she’s categorized as a support? Can I force that?

After getting a feel on the combat of the game, I noticed that at the surface, it looks like a button mashing simulator but it's not. As you understand the mechanics more and more, you tend to slow down your presses which leads to better combo execution. It's fun but I can see that this kind of game is not for everyone. I can see "content creators" shtting on this game from miles away cuz they skip core game mechanics.
The last 2 tips are definably the best XDDD Honestly i am just gonna pity Ellen and save the rest to see what the future holds. Having self restrain is a good thing, mostly has a f2p ahah
SOO many advices that are wrong for hoyo games. Example: IGNORE artifacts ntil you guarantee at least 1 5*(golden/S), story feeds you enough purples IGNORE sets for better stat value, early on okay-ish rainbow sets >>>>meh sets.. DO Prioritize supports over DPS, supports stay with you longer than DPS and they are flexible. (only exception would be Ellen, as she can reach up to 60% RES PEN, therefore she can ignore weakness resistances)
I personally believe it's the best version of their team, but if no Rina then Saokaku will be the go to! Either works to be completely honest, just comes down to personal preference.

I have Nekomata as my main paired with Nicole for the gravity switchout and the 3rd character fluctuating between Billy and Anby. Which character would be a good nmbr 3 to have as a set pick for the 2 girls i already have to make a decent team? FYI i have never played a gacha game and have no idea how to play one.
probably you will have an easier time if you switch billy with an ether dps in the future. either switch nicole or billy but dps 4 stars tend to get powercreeped
you can find them in menu->options-> mouse&keyboard(or whatever you are using) its probably something like button layout in mobile(idk never played mobile)
