I agree with some of your favorite moments! Also, I'm a girl that likes these movies and grew up with these movies and I like to say that you inspired me to make my own top 10 list! So thank you kindly for that! ^^ I'm disappointed that BF5 is a thing. I mean I know I wanted the series to continue but BF5 is nothing like Highway 35 and Acceleracers. Tbh, the only characters I liked were Vert and Sage. But again. BF5 was a terrible way to bring back the series. And I'm sure those who watched it before probably don't remember it now. I miss Highway 35 and Acceleracers...so very much.
1- You're welcome, it's great to inspire people. 2- Highway 35/ Acceleracers is so GREAT, that's one of the main reasons that I bacame a Car Enthusiast, I mean, I love cars, and this series was the starting point. Also, it's the story of this series (So good and complex for an animated series) that made me interested in creating something like that one day. 3- I try to forget that BF5 even existed, it's like the opposite of Highway 35/ Acceleracers. BF5 is as bad as Highway 35/ Accelerecers is good (known what I mean?). 4- Maybe one day, when every director and whatever boss of Warner Bros and Mattel have changed, we get a propper ending to our series with the unfinished 5th and 6th movies, but until there I'll miss too.
Kaz Wheeler bf5 was not continuing acceleracers because on the back of the one pack hw boxes Vert had a different name while in bf5 the main character actual name was Vert
Wow thats great. Its extremely hard to find a girl that like *things with 4 wheels rolling with 2 of them on fire* (ya know what i mean). Also i agree with you about BF5, Mattel just made that to win money, like various others. The only thing i liked on BF5 was the new Red Power Rage that appears on the first episode and that muscle car that Verts dad uses on the BF5 movie. Also, good luck with your RU-vid channel! :D
Karma had the prefect line and strategy planned out, plus Taro is definitely one of the best drivers there; he was in the front almost all the time in world race, he was the only one to avoid the slam ram in the water relam, and he never loses a car until the ultimate race, (At least that what I think, as he just switched to Riveted instead of repairing his road runner.
@@lulu82o i think it’s so cool how they made every realm into a skill that must be mastered because they’re both skills for driving and metaphors for life. Nolo didnt just learn about staying in the groove of the track for optimal traction, rather the groove represents the state of flow or pocket of focus you find when pushing yourself to the limit without exceeding it like vert did in the water realm.
See that was amazing but then Vert Wheelers Deora ll gets chopped in half is my worst moment. Deora ll is my favorite car design as a kid and still is. I will love all three shows even though battle force v should of had a different leader. There should of been a continuation of accelerAcers.
Taro making it through the water realm a 2nd time had me at my edge waiting to see what happens. Showed how good of a racer he is and what happens with teamwork between Teku and Metal Maniacs. But for me, Vert being an acceleracer is No 1 because he felt like he fell after the world race. Then, his words to Tesla, “I used to be the best, maybe I can be again.” The acceleron calling vert a true racer was awesome. But what nailed Vert for it was when Kurt said Vert couldn’t handle it and Taro countered with that Vert could. Vert had truly earned Taro’s respect, moreso than what happened in World Race
Exactly, neither the kids that started watching from BF5 remember it anymore. I am not sure, but if I remember well they have cancelled because they have changed the director of the movies/television sector and the 1st thing he did was cancel Acceleracers because it was "too dark" (originally it was supposed to be 6 movies)
That was just plain bad directing. He cancelled Acceleracers, to bring in Battle Force 5, without any ties in the timeline at all. It even made for the perfect TMNT ripoff by adding pizza to the end of every episode, and nothing about the Wheel of Power was mentioned, nor how Vert even became involved with the Battle Zones.
if a 16 year old happened to beat the best racers in the world in getting and later returning the wheel of power, then it wouldn't be surprising that vert would get an ego. his character arc was painfully long at times, but worth it in the final battle with gelorum
My dad bought me all of these films in 2005. I was 4 years old at the time and had a mad hot wheels collection (I still got it) I am 16 years old now and the nostalgia this brings me makes me sad. when I was sick about a week ago I watched highway 35 all the way to acceleracers ultimate race. I love these films and go back to watch them quite a lot. It's nice to see there is still a pretty big fan base. A few things you may not have known about these films is that there was supposed to be 6 but the animation company was bought by sony and they cancelled it. Highway 35 is called highway 35 because 2003 was when Hot wheels became 35 years old.
Yeah man, I have a story that look likes yours with Acceleracers too. I guess everybody in this comment section has one. The reason for the highway be called "35" I didn't know, but the Acceleracers 6 and the reason for why it was cancelled yes. I entirely agree with Taro redoing the Water Realm again as Number One. It's almost as if even the Writers knew it was meant to be super awesome, because EVERY other character was watching that run. Shirako even took his Headphones off! However, I would have to say that Vert vs. Gelorum would be 2nd to me. It IS the last race of the series, and has credit for that alone. My 3rd would honestly end up going to the sequence after Vert returns to Earth. The big Brawl between the Drivers and the RDs was good, and him escaping the Area amidst the chaos, with assistance from the Silencers is golden. It is Perfect Chaos.
Nice list. About the Vert VS Gelorum race, personaly, I think that would have been cooler if the race was "closer", for example: Gelorum stayed in 1st place almost all the race, my favorite part was the end of the Cosmic Realm, because you really don't know who is going to win (that's what I mean by "closer"). And personaly, I think that races like that are much more exciting. But good points anyway.

one of my favorite scenes that i never see people talk about is the first scene of acceleracers with tesla crashing nitrium, does a great job setting up the stakes of the series aswell as showing us that the cars arent just indestructable anymore
To be fair I would argue that the cars are still up to world race standards. In acceleracers they still beat up the cars with out taking damage. In highway 35 the cars don’t take nearly the same amount of punishment as they do in acceleracers.
Vert was always my favorite character when I first watched as a kid. I have grown to appreciate Taro now that I'm older. He's such a badass but he's a good guy at heart. The character arcs in this series are so good, way better than most modern action movies lol.
Taro reminds me of Kimi Räikkönen. They don't talk much and often appear cold and unapproachable, they basically shut up and drive. But deep down inside, they have big hearts. They are also hella good at driving and didn't have the best luck. While Vert reminds me of Lando Norris. Young and talented, but can be overconfident at times. Vert not listening to Karma in water realm is similar to Norris refusing to pit for inters in Russia.

By the end of the series you realize that under all that muscles, skulls and rage, the Metal Maniacs are good guys (Maybe more than some Tekus), except for Wylde. He had to be tortured, lose an arm and saved by his brother to become a better persson...

Oh yeah the deal... I never thought too much about it. But thinking now, as Kurt and Mark have awesome driving skills, I thing they would be "hired" because of this, what makes me thing that they would be getaway drivers or something like that. probably not drugs, i don't think hot wheels and matel would go that dark, even then for how dark the threat of the drones was, it was probably street racing or some form of cheating in legal racing. world race (highway 35) mention kurt being a professional racer.

People have mentioned some pretty good scenes, but one that I think also should be mentioned is when Tesla himself drives into the Pipeline realm to expose the Silencerz. Like.. he just goes in and does it! Shows he isn't a slouch.
Foreshadowing: Lani Tam in H35 says "This is an Interesting Problem" when Taro shows up. Taro says "Interesting Problem" during the Kurt thing in the Junk Realm
I wanted to see some closure between Taro and Lani because clearly Lani still has feelings for him. And then there's also Karma who seems to be attracted to him.
i like when shirako falls accidentally of the track of the cliffside realm and land at a lower point, further along in the track. vert does the same thing during the ultamate race to catch up with gelorum at the cliffside section.
Well... why someone would ignore Porkchop and Monkey to drive a lorry down the throat of a sweeper at high velocity is beyond me. If anything was badass this was!
I just had an interesting idea for a realm. Its one with basically no time limit. The acccelrons loved to race so it could make sense that there could be a realm that they could drive to max with out worry
I find it so interesting that once we actually meet one, the Accelerons turn out to be these beings with godlike powers... Being able to effortlessly levitate massive objects at will, transmutation of matter (turning Vert's clothes into the racing suit), being able to just create powerful artifacts from nothing (the Wheel segment) and just as easily creating the technology of the portal, exactly on the track to take Vert home, also from nothing, and at a moment's notice. And yet even with all these phenomenal cosmic powers, they STILL just love racing silly little cars on their silly little tracks. Like that acceleron was CLEARLY decked out in racing gear. They don't even care that humans are so powerless in comparison, and drive relatively simple machines that run on Dino juice; Vert absolutely had gained the respect of the accelerons.

These movies are a big reason why I'm a car guy now! This isn't about robots who happen to turn into cars, or people with guns doing heists who happen to use cars, or even cars just doing human things but as cars, but this is unabashedly about people driving cars, relying on them as vital parts of themselves. Without their cars, they are nothing but fragile humans, but with their cars, they are invincible. That's what I love about cars so much! I'm just a nerdy dude but in my Honda S2000 or Focus ST, I'm an unstoppable force of nature! That's how cars should make you feel and that's what I still strive to go after even to this day
Taro going through the water realm a second time never ceases to give me chills. I always got the feeling that was the only time he ever really pushed behind the wheel; certainly the best driver in the series by a long shot when he wants to be in my opinion, just prone to bad luck like in the Storm and Pipeline realms.
The chills I get years later says it all ❤️ not like I haven’t seen all of it a million times lol, today’s shows could never compare. Miss this show so much 😢 gotta say one of my all time favorites tho is Vert an Kirt taking on the drones at the end of the storm realm 💯 many more that could be mentioned but we all know the show speaks for itself 😂
One of the scenes that always stuck w me was when kadeem got turned into one of the drones. It was pretty disturbing seeing the machine turn on knowing it was about to tear him apart.
Although i feel like the recruitment's in HW35 should have been an honorable mention, along with the reunite with kadeem in ignition. it made me so happy seeing those two scenes, the recruitment especially because we get out first look at the cars, and what tezla is capable of.
Nice selection! My favorite scenes were both versions of the Drone invasion of the Acceledrome. The one in Tezla's dream and the one that took place in the Ultimate Race. GIG's betrayal is also a rather awesome scene.

I honestly can’t chose my favourite or make list of favourites, because it’s hard to chose just a few when I just love the entire series as a whole. However I can chose my favourite movie. I would say highway 35 is by far my favourite out all 5 movies, so much so that I watched so many times I ended up memorizing the entire movie, music, sound effects, everything. Ultimate race comes as my second favourite out of the 5. P. S. I always love to see hot wheels content especially since there’s not much out there. I’ve been a huge fan since I was little. I’m sure that’s the case for most people too. Also if anyone did read all of my comment I truly thank you. I can tell that you’re a huge fan of the franchise and love to see other people’s opinions regardless if you agree with them or not. Sorry it’s so long, I just wanted to say everything I wanted to. im really glad with the direction the writers took acceleracers making it a much more serious and darker series. i wish this series continued and we got to see other drivers come ups like taro’s.
I found it interesting how the Silencerz treat Taro. Pretty much everyone else is just passed or even helped. Taro got rammed aside in Ice Realm and Metro Realm, and disabled in Tunnel Realm.
I haven't even bothered to think about my fav moments because I just enjoy it all too much, but god damn ur fav one is def one I haven't remembered for a long time its one I enjoyed very much. You know sht is serious when Shirako takes out his music: 19:43
Fun little fact about the Nitrox after burner. Vert somehow breaks the sound barrier not once but twice nearly simultaneously. Even though he is in space.
It is obvious the Accelerons made it friendly to vehicles and drivers while did something to the Track to make that possible, like there is air around the Track.
@@katzuma7641 Vert was good in Highway 35 but needed the help of plot in Acceleracers. Even you can kinda tell Vert was going to win Highway 35 because he wears number 1.
Romi Arkan I loved vert in Acceleracers, he did not win, he even began to doubt himself and his abilities, which made him one of the most human characters in the series, he did not have plot armor, he didn’t even beat Galorem in the end but he tried his best and saved everyone anyway
Brilliant list, however, highly disappointed to not see Porkchop and Monkey bringing Ole Smokey into the Junk Realm make the list. Watching the Sweeper explode is soooo bad assssss.

All the drivers name dropped at the start of acceleracers are silencers and i think there's the fan theory that Banjee is the one that takes the wheel of power from the drones at the end of the series
@@Pennzoil33 well they did show Ballistik in the swamp realm so he was probably saved by a Silencerz driver and convinced to join them. There is a picture for an unreleased toy that shows Banjee as a Silencer with the same helmet as the driver that took the wheel of power.
@@hunter4760 yes i know that the ballistik is in the swamp realm, but my first thought is that banjee probably died there since the position of the car is just in the middle of the swamp lake, but seeing that teory which he is saved by the silencers really makes me more mad about the cliffhanger this series has
Flathead Fury was one of the coolest cars and I could never find it! Really wanted the Drone one, too. Kinda shows ya how things coulda played out for Markie ;P
