Here maruti suzuki don't send their vehicles to crash test as most of them fail...they are all tin cans..famous for cheap quality...not expensive but one of cheapest cars here

Note that not all car safety testing facilities accept cars directly from manufacturers. Many facilities purchase them from random retail dealers, that way manufacturers can’t cheat by modifying their sent cars to appear as if they are more safe than what they actually may be off the production line.

To most, vehicles are nothing more than a necessary tool to get a particular job done efficiently and economically. To some, driving is a passion, a lifestyle, a statement and so much more. I can tell you the exact safety specs on my wifes suv we get around with the kids however I dont even know if my Porsche was ever crash tested and that is ok with me

the cost of the vehicles...some of it is the badge...some is R&D...so the company's cost of just the vehicles that get wrecked is a lot less than you'd ever pay for it at a dealership.

Guess you haven't heard of formula 1 crash tests, but to be fair, they only crash test the monocoque(which is still expensive)

Elon is trolling us Tesla has a Model S, Model 3, Model X and a Model Y. When you see it combines to form S3XY. Elon actually wanted the model 3 to be model E but couldn't do so due to ford having a car already under that name. The price of Model X is well balanced at 69,420 dollars

I always thought it was mandatory for a car to be crash tested prior to being sold, I know Lotus had a waiver on the Elise for awhile when it wouldn't meet U.S safety standards.. I think it didn't have airbags??
