thx for the video, price update is appreciated, i like the product but not its price, but video like yours are great as we get an idea of how much to expect to pay for singles and not overhyping the set like many are.
U.K - Ive got jeweled lotus; I paid £70 a few days ago for one. I get alot of people consider its useless versus end game but i think its great at the beginning and mid game because it's a 3 mana for the commander - colourless. My commanders are 4x mana - atraxa and 7x Etali 😅
No most people dont run jewlelled lotus in every deck because it isnt good unless you can reuse it or unless you have a aggro style fast deck. Putting a jewelled lotus in a deck that can only use it once in an average deck is a complete waste as the card gets worse as the game goes on. How many times are you going to see it early in a game, only 1 card out of 100, not good odds. Way better options outside of being able to reuse it or wanting to really set yourself for aggro fast starts.
I’m not saying that everyone runs Jeweled Lotus, I’m saying the card is so good that if it were a penny, it would be in most decks where the commander is three or more mana. It is insanely powerful, and can be format warping. Plus it’s colorless and almost universally good assuming your commander has any amount of generic mana. It’s just not theme or strategy dependent, it’s just good. even pulling it late game it can pay for your commander tax plus some and get your commander out when you didn’t think it would be possible. I get that not every deck wants it, but it is pretty universally at least decent. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk, lol.
Ummmm....avacyn was almost 50 to 60 before this reprint was announced so not sure what you are talking about. She dropped when she was printed in doublemasters to 20 and went all the way back to 50, your whole board being indestructible will alwats be relevant. Ya there are cards that can exile but those get played a lot less and are farther inbetween. Avacyn isnt just for any deck but she is still an absolute bomb in decks that can play her right. Come on bro
I’m saying is that she used to be a card that was considered format defining in commander, she is no longer considered that. Personally, I still expect that her price will go down, but it won’t reach as high as it was. Only time will tell, but in a lot of games, eight mana can just win the game. But who knows… the pricing and availability of Commander Masters will be the true factor here.
@@MTGRecon think your underestimating timmy love for giant angels and she went down with double masters and then went right back up so even recent history backs my postion. If they print her again in the next year, ya her price might stay down but if they keep letting 3 years inbetween prints she will tick back up like she always does. She was never on the level of a smothering tithe and craterhoof, she is just as solid as she always was in the right decks, those are still a big list of types of decks. She will continue to stay relevant in the future if they keep adding angel commander options. She was always a 99 card, never seen anyone run her as a commander.
