As the show went on and it became obvious that the guy playing the sidekick was actually the star player on the team, so to speak, they wrote a lot of material for Dylan to play with and allowed him to improv. The writing was never that great, but his delivery was always interesting.

Oh, Stiles had some of the best serious moments as well. I especially love the scene where Stiles walks into the pool of gasoline, trying to talk Scott out of killing himself after he was infected by I think it was wolfsbane. That was one of the most heartfelt scenes in all of Teen Wolf. Such a heartwrenching, genuine scene. Stiles is there pouring his heart out to Scott while walking into the gasoline with him, willing to put his own life in jeopardy to save him. That truly shows just how amazing Stiles is. Stiles doesn't have the power to heal quickly or any powers at all, he's human unlike so many of his friends, but he constantly puts his life at risk for them and runs in at their side no matter the situation. He's one of the most admirable characters in this show.

I read that Dylan had to audition twice for Stiles. The first time they told him no and Dylan went again and he got the role. Also Stiles and Liam have funny interactions too!

The fact that the only Sterek moment was just an honorable mention is blasphemous. The scene with him telling Danny that Derek is his cousin, Miguel, is gold! Derek smacking Stiles' head into the steering wheel - "You know what that was for!" Stiles snapping the rubber glove and Derek giving him excellent bitch face! Their banter in the series finale about how the rescue truly happened 😂

"I'm gonna puke; take me somewhere" and Scott immediately complying, like they're well-versed in scenarios like these, is one of the funniest things I ever to me--they were both totally platonic Pack Mom and Dad bros and I loved it. And regarding the humor of Coach Finstock, in that same episode, I laughed like an idiot after he put Stiles and Scott on guard and he tells some rando that they're like sons to him. Which, actually, considering the weird as all hell image Stiles must present to a mostly-in-the-dark Finstock (the chains, the bombs, the shootings, the pictures of stabbings, etc.), the fact that Finstock can even say they're like sons to him says a lot about his character.

Some of my favourites are: “No, you stopped to cook it in a little werewolf oven”, the scene where he has to chop off Derek’s arm and the scene (in fact all the Sterek scenes in that episode), “depends on how you define lying” “how do _you_ define it?” “Reclining in a...horizontal position”, “someone needs to sex me right now!!!” Edit: I wrote this before seeing #1 LMAO

I love it dylan brings so much comedy to the show i wish more shows an actors were like this and my favourite scene is when stiles tries to teach scott how to control his anger in season 1 episode 6 the car getting scratched scene and him lying to his dad an saying that he thinks lying down is lying in a horizontal manner haha priceless scenes and in season r when stiles and liam were playing lacrosse without scott and liam says were going to lose without scott and stiles is like dont worry i have been oracticing next scene he gets trampled by two players form the opposing team haha i love that scene
