Great countdown Jake! Interesting to see an original red PMG next to the retro version

I had no idea for some reason that there was other players in the metal champ PMG set other then that iconic jordan. I have four cards in my jordan collection and had to get the base universe champ, that is a killer pic of jordan in front of chicago, love the card. cheers Jake.

Nice video Jake! Even though I am retired from sports card collecting, these kind of videos make me remember the chase. I am fortunate enough to have or had at least one card from all 10 sets you chose. Having a PMG green of Shawn Bradley and Mike Tomzak (football) were fun, and they eventually found their forever homes. Knowing I had one each at one point in time is all I care about. Personally I would have the 97-98 Credentials at #2 btw, and the only set I would suggest otherwise is the 99-00 Skybox Premium rubies (the star dust kinda pattern). Again great work :)

Are you familiar with the 1997 game dated memorable moments foil parallels? These slip under the radar because they’re not numbered and was another confusing 90’s parallel few people understood at the time. Pretty sure there’s a Penny in the set. Super rare cards, probably would have made my list. I’ve found a few on EBay from time to time which people don’t realize are the parallel versions.

Very nice list.. one I feel is missing from the list or even the honorable mentions is the 1998 Bowman’s Best Atomic Refractors serial numbered to 100.. with that gold cracked ice type design it’s one of my favorites of the 90’s. I, like many others think the metal Universe PMG’s are insanely overrated. But think the Metal Universe Championship PMG’s are beautiful 😍.

I believe 1996 was the first year for the Fleer Ultra Platinum Medallion.. short printed to 200.

I was REALLY hoping you'd surprise me and not put the most overrated cards in the hobby at #1. What does "fascinate" be about basketball collectors is how most everyone has the same 'favorite' or 'top' sets. It just seems like a bunch of groupthink.
