If you're feeling patriotic, then why not listen to some of the songs featured in this video: Born In The U.S.A. / Bruce Springsteen amzn.to/2tJhdUZ An American Trilogy - Elvis Presley amzn.to/2tGnyRA This Land Is Your Land - Woody Guthrie amzn.to/2sngw0a
you can't just expect them to that! the audience tuned in to listen to one of the best songs, not one that is the soundtrack from a stupid movie where puppets fight terrorists!!!!
The reason I'm watching this is because I'm only 13 and I absolutely love America and it's been my dream to go there😴 I love it so much and I can play all of Country songs on guitar, I'm Scottish and I just love America so much❤
Texas is maybe the most open U.S state while California says they are the most open are likely the most closed to anything opposing Democratic values. Well as long as you come here legally I hope you have a nice time.
Steven Zemlicka There aren't many I know but you know there are illegals from everywhere I trust he'll come legally I just want to make sure he doesn't want to come here so much he'll risk imprisonment or deportation. I always tell people as long as they come legally because there are around 60 million Illegals here already but yeah I agree Scottish people aren't really prone to be illegal immigrants at least not in the US.
I don't understand how our spoiled kids who's never had to suffer are so hateful of their own country. I'm proud to be an American and I hope God blesses this country and protects it from it's enemies for years to come. Hating your own country is just the dumbest thing ever. You can always leave to Venezuela kiddos.
I'm. British, but have absolutely no problem with American patriotism, if I was American I think I'd be pretty proud and it is where Rock comes from. But even a tea drinking limey knows born in the U.S.A. isn't a patriotic song. Anyway I'm off to listen to the Beatles
I actually had the pleasure of meeting Bruce in the city on Thursday at his Broadway show. He explained the song as seeing the ugliness and the beauty the shame and pride that comes with being from the US and that if you are born here it is your birthright to feel and be a part of it all. It is a very patriotic song for him. The story behind it was he was on tour and at the hotel he was staying in there was a man by the pool every day so one day he went out to talk to him and he was a Vietnam vet. The man asked him to visit some of his friends from the war and Bruce went and felt so helpless seeing the tragedy. See he was drafted for the war but managed to get out of it but in that moment he couldn't help but think of who went in his place because as he said "someone did." And overcome with this feeling and all these vets stories he wrote a song about what he was seeing and hearing and feeling the shame in Vietnam yet feeling so grateful for the men who sacrificed so much. You unfortunately cannot separate the two.
Little did Lee Greenwood know back in '84 that he would have to sing that song for the rest of his life. But he'd probably tell you that he will NEVER get tired of singing it... and we will NEVER get tired of hearing him sing it!
SHUT YOUR GOD DAMN MOUTH! THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT PATRIOTIC, AND THE TRUTH IS THAT THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS USED FOR MANY OF THE SONGS ARE A MOCKERY OF PATRIOTISM, BECAUSE YOU DO NOT COMMERCIALIZE THE PATRIOTISM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Free America Chester Yankee Doodle The Girl I Left Behind Me My Country 'tis of Thee Hail Columbia The Star Spangled Banner Any Stephen Foster song Dixie The Bonnie Blue Flag The Battle Cry of Freedom When Johnny Comes Marching Home Battle Hymn of the Republic The Yellow Rose of Texas Home on the Range The Stars and Stripes Forever Washington Post March Columbia, the Gem of the Ocean You're a Grand Old Flag Yankee Doodle Boy Over There God Bless America Armed Forces Medley The Battle of New Orleans The Green Berets Sweet Home Alabama God Bless the USA I would NOT consider "This Land is Your Land" to be a patriotic song
I am born in Germany. But my father is an american and my grandfather fought for the US Army to defeat the Nazzis in WW2. But somehow I feel connected to America. I am just so deeply impressed how far we come within the years. Altough I only own the german passport, I am proud to be part of an american family. (Btw. Apologies for bad english)
i wouldn't go there after trump became president. if you don't speak perfect english and have a slightly darker tone of skin, you're not going to have a good time. trump's presidency has affirmed all the disgusting bigots that live in the usa, and they feel like they don't have as much to be ashamed of now that they have a fellow bigot running the country
I've never been to America, but I admire the place a lot. I pray that one day I'll be able to go... To be honest, it's the one country that I wanna go to. I thank you for what is basically all my entertainment! Happy Independence Day to you Yanks! - An English guy.
Hulk Hogan's theme song "Real American" should have at least gotten an honorable mention. No matter how you feel about wrestling "Real American" is definitely a patriotic american song.
Another way to look at is he can criticize the government. We Americans aren't the government. We are the people, brother. Fuck the government. Never forget that. This why we have the 2nd Ammendment.
@@masonlong6338 I think he/she got the Amendments mixed up...the First is the one that gives us the right to criticize the government without facing prosecution, and the 2nd is what protects us should the government become tyrants and try to take our freedoms
T E if we can hold on to it. The way things are going today, the indoctrination of our youth, I fear for the future. “Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves.” D.H. Lawrence
No matter what this country goes through I will always love America and I will be thankful for the solders who give their life for me and everyone in this country to live the way we do Thankyou
Tomorrow is 4th of July, and listening to these tunes I couldn't but shed a tear. Not of joy but because how saddened I was of what has been going on in our country. Self hatred of our people, tearing down of our founding fathers' statues. I just wish we could all learn to love and appreciate our land that I so cherish. God bless America.
+Mr Fathead hello I didn't see you there about a month ago...wait a minute...oh I get it now you sent me a reply today, how's your internet connection today Mr Fathead?
Toby Keith is just the most patriotic artist we have. Made in America, Courtesy of the Red White and Blue, American Soldier, all of these are so patriotic and on my 4th of July playlist.
The Peace Army in my opinion it has more to do with the tune being contrasted with the lyrics, if it were completely hopeless i dont think the chorus would have been as enthusiastic
Is it bad that I started tearing up at the last one. Im in JROTC and plan on going into the Army after highschool, I am stricly military minded and will only think as such, with that said I uphold the upmost respect for our country and those who have and who are fighting to protect us. Thank you and God Bless America!
And number 7 is about abolishing private property since woody was a leftist but he left some of the verses since he didn’t want to be targeted by McCarthy
It's amazing how many people don't know that it is an anti-war song. It's sort of an anti US song knowing how "The Boss" is. So this song really doesn't belong on this list.
Being anti-war means not being patriotic? I had no idea!! Protesting our government means one is not patriotic?? I thought being able to peacefully protest was one of our (patriotic) rights??
@@rustyshackleford7594 Pointing out how this government screws it's own children for money makes people call you psychotic and delusional. Those things can't happen in my wonderful country!
20 years ago, when I finished Battle Stations at RTC, the Navy's boot camp, they played "God Bless the USA". I'd hurt my leg pretty badly but pushed through, refusing to show any pain or emotions. When that song started to play and I got handed the cap signifying the change from Recruit to Sailor, I started bawling like a baby...and realized how much my leg hurt.
My favorite American Patriotic songs are 1. Yankee Doodle 2. Over There 3. God Bless the USA 4. America the beautiful 5. Thank God I'm a country boy 6. Battle Hymn of The Republic 7. Blood Upon the Risers 8. When Johnny Comes Marching home
when god bless the USA started playing during my BMT graduation i felt something i had never felt before amd it made me more proud to be in this country than ever
It was originally a mockery of America, but we adopted into something more patriotic, so they kind of cancel each other out. so it's less patriotic then it would have been.
I remember in grade school on Veterans Day we sang the Marines Hymn for them. I remember seeing my grandpa sitting with the other veterans crying and I guess it's always stuck with me
i remember listening to only in america by brooks and dunn when i arrived in the us for the first time, walking through the airport and on the train through the city out to the countryside. for the first time in my life i felt like i belonged. a few years later i left austria and moved to the us. i’ve been serving in the marines for 5 years now, fought for this country and would do it again. god bless america🇺🇸❤️
When I was finishing USMC boot camp they played Lee Greenwood after we were done with The Crucible and first got our eagle globe and anchor for the first time. VERY emotional!!
thanks to all who love my country so much as I looked at the comments make me happy to see ppl from every where sharing the love 💘❤💕💖 I wish you peace happiness and above all keep safe every one
Born in the USA will forever be one of my favourite Springsteen songs. The acoustic version recorded for the Nebraska album is so much more powerful though, definitely gives the song a new dimension and really gets the message home. Check it out!
This Land Is Your Land is more of a protest song, however not many people realize because the 'private property' verse is oftentimes removed or forgotten about

There was one song title about America that I couldn’t remember so I landed on this video hoping I could find that song. When I started from number 10 to number, I felt hopeless I wouldn’t find it. So when I saw that the number 1 song in this video was actually the one I was trying to recall so that I could listen to it again because I really love that song about America, I cried 😢. It’s no doubt it’s the number 1 song and I’m so glad 👏🤩
