in power level in one of the comics doomsday was on near the verge of killing martin manhunter but superman swooped in and saved him but then when doomsday tried to attack superman , superman stood still and took his attack like a tank, doomsday even broke is claw while he attacked superman (the same claw he killed superman with in batman vs superman), then only reason that doomday was able to pierce supes body in the movie because he was already weakned by kryptonite and also the radiation from the spear which he used to kill doomsday with, but in comics supes was sundippd and amped up
