#2 has to be the darkest thing i've ever seen... knowing a family member is not only abusing and, i presume raping the child, the mother is doing nothing about it, probably to scared to confront the father, it's terrifying

#2 was the most disturbing in my opinion. The fact that the mom could only sit back and let that stuff happen to her daughter.

Everyone talking about abuse but dam, that kid that hid from his father dressing as a picece of furnituer is bloody amazing

At 9:08, the man says, "We'll just keep this our little secret.". He says this because he know that what he is doing is wrong and he will get into a lot of trouble for it. (All such abusers are cowards at heart.). This gives the victim the power; if you are such a victim, agree with him not to tell; but do tell someone as soon as you safely can.

The costume one was actually kinda sad and smart

Number 1 was incredibly powerful and beautiful. But number two made my cry.

Number 2 was terrifying to me as a young girl, and the woman crying was just such a good example of how helpless they feel.

Number 8 ("The Burden") has always reminded me of my life with PTSD. That's exactly what it feels like. You spend your entire life after trauma dragging around this heavy, dead version of yourself as you slowly turn into it.

I think people who get frustrated in their day to day lives should be allowed to beat on abusers to relieve their stress.

To be honest, there needs to be more PIF's about verbal child abuse or sibling-on-sibling abuse. Parents pass off abuse from a child's siblings as "Boys will be boys" or "That's just how older siblings act" or something of that nature, when it is something that is very serious and NOT normal. Verbal abuse is rarely talked about at all, but it hurts. It can cause suicidal children, and can cause bad self-esteem in kids.

2 more years until I'm 18 and might be able to move out of my abusive household. I'm so excited for when I get to.

I was a victim of childhood sexual abuse. I knew him too. He kept it well hidden. The line “this’ll be our little secret hits close to home. It happened for many years. I was like his puppet. The burden ad was exactly like how I felt. I told my mom years later. It took so long because I was scared. Luckily, she didn’t respond like the baby monitor mom. She got me out of there. I’m so so lucky to have a mom like her. Other kids aren’t as fortunate, so when I grow up, I want to help. I will speak up, and I will try and stop it. I don’t want someone else to go through what I did, so I’ll try to stop it.

8th one really got to me because sometimes it really does feel like your physical self is literally carrying your inner self...That is what being dead inside feels like.

I was abused as a baby. My mum never bothered changing my nappy, leaving me in the scorcing sunlight in my pram and made fun of my blind eye i was born with. I was fortunate enough to be given to a nicer mother to be raised but...damn, what would happen if i was still with her...

Numer 2 is the most horrific thing...just, ever, I actually feel ill, I almost CRIED. I remember studying a fair few of these when I was at school (which is one of the reasons why I've always been interested in your lists and how good PSA's are made) but none of those shook me as much as that one did. The most shocking thing about it though is why it was made. It wasn't purely made as a "stop child-rape" PSA (though obviously that alone is enough), it was requested specifically because men infected with HIV believed that having sex with babies would cure them, the PSA was supposed to stop this. The person who made it then decided to aim it at the women, because they knew that men like the one depicted here don't listen. Judging by the impact it's had on me and a few other commenters, I'm going to assume it did its job.

#2 was so horrible

That first one with the robot is so heartbreaking. He has only a toy to protect him.😢

I've seen quite a few things during my time here on the internet. I've seen some weird fetishes, videos of people being beaten and tortured, even a few snuff films. But there's just something about #2 that gives me a sick feeling in my stomach and a cold sensation across my ribcage that all that other shit hasn't. Powerful stuff, that one.

The Irish kid in the last one deserves an award. That was fucking powerful.

Aren't parents suppose to support, give love, and care for their kid(s)? If the parents doesn't want their kid(s), they can give it to the adoption instead of abusing them.

Number 2 was by far the worst one for me. It was horrible beyond belief. Most, if not all of these really weird PSA's typically don't have much of an impact on me, but that one... Jesus.

#2 broke me. How could anyone just stand there and listen to that without doing anything? I would have taken that hot iron and used it not for its intended purposes.

All of them are very strong. The baby monitor ad and the last one "I can't wait" are very unnerving - but essential. I just wish these PSAs do in fact work to change our collective consciousness so child abuse and neglect are ended.

That doll brightly saying '...and punches her! And punches her! And punches her! And punches her!' over and over is genuinely one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen or heard.

10:08 - "If you don't stop him from raping her" Looks like a PSA/ PIF/ whatever finally had the guts to say the R-A word.

This made me sad. It horrifies me to think that there are people who wouldn't hesitate to do this kind of awful shit to their children and loved ones.

I am Bipolar and has Severe Anxiety and Depression, and really bad anger issues. People ask me why I don't want kids in the future, this is why, I don't wanna hurt my kid, like, I can't control it. It genuinely scares me that I'll have a kid and abuse them. However, I am trying to get better with my anger, it's just REALLY hard.

not gonna lie, the second one almost made me cry and almost vomit out my food, tbh i was emotionally scarred and that i hope the person who does that to their child would be raped in jail, because that is fucked up

I was recently explaining to someone what living with trauma is like. While discussing the tentacle PSA on this list and that no one escapes trauma until they die.

The cartoon one is one of the best in my opinion It really shows me how normalized abusive relationships are in cartoons aswell as being entertaining enough to keep peoples attention for the true message The animation being great aswell And the father is a great actor! Both having to convert later amounts of emotion,with the extra challenge of what you’re supposed to look at not being there

These struck home for me. I grew up with an abusive father who would beat my older brother all of the time. Number one makes me think of him so much.

I hated #2 that's the one that scared me the most. I had that horrible feeling in my stomach when i watched #2

Oh god these are the commercials that disturb me the most. Anything involving children is just too much for me to bear. How could anyone even lay a finger on a child like that? Some sick sick people in the world. AND DID YOU HAVE TO INCLUDE GERMAN TENTACLE DICK??? Christ I will never sleep again.

The Tentacle really resonates with me. That's how I feel everyday. It can be a word someone says. It can be a touch. A programme on TV, a film. So many things to try to avoid that remind me of what happened.

Number 10 : the ad starts in a boys gloomy and messy room with toys scattered across the floor . a cat accidentally knocks a blue robot toy down thus turning him on and the toy says " astrobot to base ! Astrobot to base ! ( zapping sounds ) my mission is to protect ( in a child's voice ) Thomas ( normal robot voice ) from his daddy . he locks him in a dark place . " we hear a thumping sound behind the closet possibly coming from Thomas then astrobot says " astrobot to the rescue ! " what makes this scary is because of how empty the atmosphere is and the fact that the robot is just a toy who is helpless and can't get up trying to save his owner . It then ends with a message to stop child abuse . another PSA simaler to this has the setting being a bright and cheerful girls bedroom . it just features a girl named Ellie playing with a doll on her bed . the doll says " hi I'm Mandy ! And I like to play games ! Will you hug me ? ( giggles ) " we then hear Ellie's possibly abusive mother sternly calling her name from downstairs . Ellie leaves the room and Mandy says " tell me all your secrets . my best friend Ellie tells me her secrets . her mummy comes in the room , and punches her ! " she then repeats " and punches her , " over and over again until the same message from before appears ( that's because these PSAs usually end with a male or female Announcer talking at the end . ) 9 : this one is honestly worse . it just features a baby in a fetus hearing a conversation going on between its dad And mom about the baby with the mom crying and the dad yelling at her about how much he hates baby's . the baby tries to escape from its moms stomach causing her to scream in pain as the baby starts crying and struggling before sucking its thumb . the message at the end even reads that some children wish they were never born . what makes this so frightening is the creepy CGI animated baby fetus , the strange audio , and the black and white closeups of the parents mouths . 8: this commercial is far more worse then the previous one . it just features a boy taking care of his dead or uncoucious brother . from waking up to getting dressed , eating , going to school , going home , and watching TV . apearently the brother was sexually abused and beaten up hence the black eyes and the ending message . what makes this so bone chilling is the fact that the only family member who cares for the dead or uncoucious boy is his brother . 7 : this one is even worse . it just features a cartoon kid being abused by his live action father for watching TV , playing with his toys in the kitchen , tripping , and peeing his pants ! The father does a lot of bad stuff like hitting him , throwing him at the wall , burning him with the butt of a cigerete choking him etc . when the father burns him his head catches on fire causing him to run to the sink to put the fire out . the who framed roger rabbit effects , the silly faces the kid makes when he hits his head , the comedy styled music , and the off screen audience laughing doesn't even help . and at the end when the father throws the kid down the stairs knocking him out he falls behind the couch and the camera pans over the couch revealing that the cartoon kid is now live action and is laying uncoucious at the foot of the stairs and the message says that real children don't bounce back . what makes this creepy is that its intended to be funny despite the fact that its about child abuse . 6 : this one is far more creepy . it features a girl who has been abused and has turned into a creepy puppet . her father has to always be with her so that he can speak for her . he's a ventriloquist and even goes to school with her . at the end during supper the mother is concerned for her daughter and the father says for her " I'm fine . can I go now ? " what makes this creepy and sad is the fact that the girls life is ruined by whoever abused her and her father has to speak for her and one of her friends even asked her if she wants to go to her house after school only to get rejected and sadly walk of when the father tells her no . 5 : this one is arguably worse . it starts of innocently with a young boy making an art project only to realize he is making a disguise to avoid his father and he crouches down thus turning into a realistic drawer next to his bed and his abusive father opens the door , looks around , and closes the door . what makes this scary is the fact that we can't even see the dads face . he already looks mean by his body and clothes . 4 : this one is even worse then the puppet . it just features a girl who has been sexually abused and has a skin colored tantacle that she has to live with for the rest of her life . from being young to being very old and dying she still has the tentacle trauma . the tentacle does slither away like a snake after she dies . what makes this ad gross is how gruesome the tentacle looks . 3 : this one is even worse then the fetus . it starts of with a pink wallpaper in a baby's bedroom . the wallpaper has a bunch of teddy bears on it who have pink flowers on there stomachs and feet . they are sitting and covering there eyes . the camera slowly zooms to the teddy bear In the middle of the wall as we hear a baby crying and out of nowhere we hear a woman , possibly the mother , letting out an ear piercing " SHUT UP !! I'M GONNA SMASH YOU AGAINST THE COT IF YOU DON'T STOP SCREAMING NOOOOOOOWWWWWW !!!!!! " we then hear the baby getting thrown at its cot hence the rattling and then it let's out a bone chilling shriek in pain as it dies . afterwards we see a poster of a football player crouching down and covering his eyes and we hear a man telling his son to sit with him in a pedophile like voice . the next scene shows Rupert bear standing in a forests and covering his eyes which is mounted on a white mug that is shaking on a table because there is a man banging on the table and we hear him yelling at his son by saying " your brainless , your stupid , your not my son ! " and knocks the mug of of the table . the next scene shows an action man action figure leaning against the wall and covering his eyes as the camera pans to reveal a dark hallway with a door at the end and we hear a faint phone ring fallowed by a boy wailing " mommy , were are you ? I don't like being on my own . " the next scene shows a slice girls magazine on a blanket that starts moving because there is a man getting in his teenaged daughter's bed while saying that he wants to tell her a secret that he doesn't want anyone else to know . the screen fades to black and a message fades in along with the words " supported by Microsoft " in small text while a female announcer tells us about child abuse while sad music plays . The only part of this commercial that scares me is the baby's bone chilling dying cry after getting thrown at its cot at the beginning . 2 : this one is even worse then the don't look one . it just shows a pan across a laundry room as we hear a girl happily playing in her room on the baby monitor . we hear someone entering the room and the girl exclaims " hi daddy ! " we hear her father whispering to her and we see a lady , possibly the mother , holding an iron while working on a table only to stop so that she can listen to what's going on in the baby monitor . out of nowhere we hear the daughter yelling no and then she starts groaning in pain as her father harshly whispers at her to be quite . the mother reacts with horror and starts crying helplessly at what's happening on the baby monitor and the ending honestly makes it worse because a female announcer says " if you don't stop him from raping her , then who will . " what's so spine chilling about this is the fact that we have no idea what the father is doing . all that we know is that he's raping the crap out of his daughter but we don't know how he's doing it . but by the tone of the girls voice , it must have been very painful . some people even say that this should be number 1 instead of the I can't wait to grow up one . 1 : this one is the worst of them all ! It features a boy , no older than 7 bravely telling us about how he can't wait until he grows up while getting graphicly beaten up by his father and he even tries to crush his ribcage with his foot ! And at the end the kid has blood draining from his face that makes it turn from bad to worse . here is what the kid says . " I can't wait until I grow up , and I'll have the right to be happy , to be kept safe , to be cared for , to feel loved , to be listened to , to be heard , to never ever ever cowar or tremble or shake , or have my innocence or kick or scream , I'll fight for the rights of children like me ,who don't have a childhood , I can't wait until I grow up . " Female announcer : you have to fight for children's right . Helloimpizza makes it worst by having his intro start of with a twinkling star on a black background as a music box tune plays and the background turns purple and the camera zooms back revealing a purple music box in the middle of a dark room and the top of the box opens and white light comes out as we hear a disembodied voice of a child giggling and the camera zooms into the top of the box revealing the warning screen on a purple viny background . throughout the video whenever there are no PSAs playing we see dolls in the background ( and a close-up of a clock at one point ) along with a color scheme that makes them look like there possessed by ghost such as a baby dolls eyes moving and a jack in a box clown swaying side to side and waving to us as creepy music plays and we even here a baby crying a couple of times . and before the number one commercial we hear typing sounds before the final doll clip fades in . there is a comedic song at the end of the video that will for sure make you die laughing since you just watched PSAs about kids getting abused . and yes , I'm talking about death by glamour by mettatons .

I remember when I was in grade 1 I was being sexual abuse by this boy in grade 8. I was sitting in the front seat of my bus. He would make me touch his private erea and he would hold my arm down when people went by. I think he was doing that so people would think I'm a disgusting kid. I felt horrible when I walked to the bus he would always be there waiting for me in the first seat. he always made me get in the inside so nobody would really see. I never told anyone this until now I'm now I'm in grade six now and I regret not telling my parents but it's too late now he's gone. When I think of this situation I feel like it was my fault.
