The case where Judge Judy changed her mind after dismissing a case. The plaintiff’s case was dismissed; however, the plaintiffs last words may have caused Judy to ask a final question to the defendant, about a pending lawsuit against someone else, to which the defendant responds yes. Judge Judy suddenly ruled against her in favour of the plaintiff, much to her surprise.
can't remember the precise details of the case but the most unexpected verdict on Judge Judy for me was Judy dismissed the plaintiff's claim and went to leave but asked the defendant if they had a lawsuit against another party which she had and Judge Judy immediately awarded the plaintiff money as a result, the plaintiff was like ''what just happened'' and byrd informed her she just won the amount of money
That horse case is on RU-vid called “Judge Judy knows horse people”, and the plaintiff is still to this day commenting on the video defending herself yet speaks nonsense. 🤣🤣
My favorite includes Judy going to make a call, which always add a great level. To set the scene, it was a car crash between a woman and a man. Not only did he admit not having insurance, he lied on a police report and in court about which insurance company he had coverage with, and there was an independent witness that Judy called and was “articulate and clear” (Judge Judy’s words) in explaining the accident. After declining to hear the defendant’s witness and shredding him with the witness’s testimony, she didn’t wait to hear the amount of the damages before ruling the maximum judgement to the plaintiff. That may not have been unexpected, but was powerful.
She often angered the hell out of me, yet to her credit, Judge Judy over the years taught me many ways to be a better neighbor and a better citizen of my community.
One of my favorites was between two women who had a fight over a "prize" of a man they were both dating. The defendant started the fight so the plaintiff won, but JJ awarded the plaintiff $1 and told her to start using her mind 😂
I remember a case of three sisters in Judy’s court, two of them suing the defendant sister for their deceased father’s guns and other stuff. They used the phrase “They’re sentimental,” and “I’m his daughter,” which angered Judge Judy. The sisters didn’t get along at all, and Judy awarded $5,000 to the plaintiffs, and stated, “that’s a very unhappy judgment there.” I assume Judy didn’t want to hear the sisters arguing over something like guns. I’m surprised she didn’t simply kick them all out.
I'm surprised the last minute case with the entitled girl who wanted her former roommate to pay the difference in rent of the apartment she was living in didn't make the list.
Where's the dental assistant assault one where JJ ruled, had them come back as they were walking down, then changed her ruling after she asked the defendant one last question which sealed the deal??
But what I keep on saying is how do you think you can go up against Judge Judy and think you're going to get away with it especially if you lie to her or keep interrupting her
I love how u can see her patience and tolerance for stupidity lessening more and more over the years. Hasn't all of ours lmao. PS: was the defendant in #6 Caitlin Jenner?? Swear to God 😂
That lady who wouldn't stop interrupting Judge Judy... her attitude of "I'm allowed to speak over you because I'm better than you" reminds me of a certain blonde wig wearing male who also doesn't understand he doesn't make the rules in the courtroom
The horse was a good one. Everyone was shocked at the end. If the horse was defective then the plaintiff should have given the horse back and got her 100 back
Wow I'm shocked you did not include the case where she changed her ruling at the very end (RE: dentist office). First time she ever changed the verdict over a response to one final question.
The lip-twitch of the over-Botoxed tenant when being told "DON'T INTERRUPT!" just screams she has an almost neurological _need_ to interrupt, like her brain will fry if she doesn't
That woman is more chemical than human at this point. Why can’t some people see that they have gone off the rails with cosmetic procedures. Which I use that term lightly, since cosmetic procedures are intended to make you look better. Money hungry doctors.
I thought the one where a woman assaulted a coworker was going to be on here. JJ delivered a verdict, and then asked, "Do you currently have a lawsuit against your employer?" She said yes and JJ reversed her finding. 😅
"No I'm going to hold your law suit against you because its stupid" "Well if you had a bad hair cut...." J.J. "It's stupid, your law suit is stupid" LOL That's my favorite!
You left out the best one, where Judge Judy is going to make the man pay for part of the rent, and then he says, "Ask her if she paid rent." Judge Judy does and she says no and her case is dismissed. The man is so astounded! That is a fun one.
