That "Hey Ya!" cover was a revelation. The sparse piano & her voice changed the whole feel of the song, WOW!!!

I truly never considered the thought of "Hey Ya" being done at a slower tempo. I always hear songs that I think would be better if done slower due to the context of the lyrics, but somehow this one just sailed right by me. It is perfect at this tempo given what message is being conveyed through the lyrics. Her voice is what really sent it sailing out of the park. Hauntingly beautiful.

Bogdan Ioan (Earth Song) did an amazing job. Tudor was stunned; he wanted Bogdan to push it and boy did he!

A lot of this has to do with the crowd as well. Many people don't realize the flow that crowd gives can hide faults in a pitch. That jackson song was pretty damn solid, but there were a few pitches that were off if you tune out that crowd screaming over his voice. The thought of MJ alone probably boosted the crowd and judges with nostalgia. Solid voices regardless. But that audience makes a massive difference.
