Your youthful exuberance and depth of knowledge always amazes your viewers. Today everybody thinks that they too can be a RU-vid reviewer armed with a decent camera phone and couple of perfumes bottles. It takes hardwork, lots of money, time and an exceptional NOSE to become an expert. NIKHIL,you win my vote
God!! Its so difficult to find people who love Oriental/Oud based fragrances. So happy I found your channel...My favourite fragrances are Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot, al Haramain Black Stone & Rasasi Dhan al Oud al Nokhba...
A bit late to the party, but thanks for all your videos Nikhil! I just discovered your channel and gotta say that you have amazing taste and vast knowledge about perfumery. Thank you for sharing it with us! I started getting into oud scents and I'm trying to find something that smells like Oud Satin Mood from MFK, but with the oud note amped up and the rose note toned down. The same level of sweetness, just more woody? Would you happen to know any scents that fit that description? I tried the Oud offering, but it wasn't as sweet as I hoped it would be. Fantastic scent regardless. Also, I do have Rasasi's Junoon Satin which is incredibly sweet & ambery, but not oud-y enough. Thanks again for this video!
:) loved the expression at 6:14. Beautiful list. I will try Sahara Oud. I have 2 more for you. Polo Supreme Oud, inexpensive, synthetic but very nice and wearable Oud, and , Oud Caravan No 3 by Abdes Salam Attar , Skanky and unbridled authentic oud almost what a Bedouin would wear. Those 2 along with ADP Oud are my absolute favorites.
Thank you for sharing your in-depth knowledge and experience. If I may ask? If you had to choose between these two Rasasi perfumes which would come on top? Atheer Cambodia or Asrar Indonesia.? Thank you in advance 🙏🏻
As a Latin man in the US, middle eastern/oriental fragrances are my absolute favorite. I truly love and learn so much from all your videos. Would love to meet a true Master aficionado of perfumery arts like yourself.
What a great video! Your passion is absolutely infectious! I like Oud Palao and Santal Royal too. And I'm glad you brought up the 2016 batches of Fahrenheit EDT. I thought my nose has gone bonkers cos I was smelling leather in this batch.
You are a very genuine reviewer. Not a word here or there. My hobby double folded after watching your videos Nikhil ji. I was working in Dubai before some years. While wandering in The Dubai Mall, I could smell very good fragrances of Oud based perfumes. At that time I was not that much mature to do innovation in perfumes, but after watching your videos here on RU-vid, my search comes to end of perfume world. Can you suggest names of perfumes that Arabs were there in Dubai or GCC nations ? As I am looking for that kind of smelling perfumes, please. Thanks.
Nice video nikhil bro, but you totally missed Ajmal Al Shams (Not mukhallat Al shams), I believe your nose, you gonna love it. Keep smelling good, god bless you.
Good Review! I believe Diors Fahrenheit was the first western fragrance which had Oud in the basenote. Tom Ford Oud Wood really reminds me of Ajmals Amber Wood. Its nice that you mentioned the region of Creeds Oud ingredient. Its a very earthy and green Oud. Enjoyed the review!!! My suggestion for you is Nasomattos Black Afgano :)
Hi! Was checking some of your videos, and come across some ASQ ones, that are pretty awesome. Could you recommend me one of their scents, that are like Oud Wood but better performance. I was checking Kasbah al Oud and Kasbah al oud Heritage. Now you are speaking about safari. Dont really know which way to go. Thanks in advance
Hi Nikhil. I think that generally speaking, you prefer sweeter/unisex fragrances (i.e., Safari Extreme, Woody Intense, Kalemat Black). Please describe in your reviews if a fragrance is masculine, feminine or unisex leaning towards one side. Have you sampled any/all of Roja Dove's oud fragrances? How do they compare to the ones you listed here? Are any of Roja's ouds worth the money asked? Thanks and Happy New Year!
What a fantastic video! I really enjoyed watching! Your picks are excellent, I haven't tried that Rasasi one you mentioned but I must check it out. My favourite House is Fragrance Du Bois, I adore Sahraa Oud and Oud Jaune Intense most 👍
Hey your channel is amazing. Thanks for your work. I discovered a lot of very interesting fragrences because of your channel. I now own some beautiful middle eastern fragrences like Kalemat which i abolutely love. One question: Do you know Lattafas "24 Carat Pure Gold". Havent found a review. Seems like it could be an interesting clubbing scent. Greetings from Germany!!
Hi Nikhill lovely video. Your voice is best among all you tube fragrance reviewer. I wanted your opinion on Molecule 1, 2, 3 and Escentric to 1,2,3. I want to buy them but not sure which one to buy.
I own a bottle of MFK oud velvet mood and yesterday I got nose on true artisanal oud from ensar that was my first time smelling pure oud thanks to your video on ensar and promo code. I bought oud Yusuf and oud Tigerwood 1995 and Adam gave me free sample of archipelgo from wild aged wood. My MFK oud velvet mood smells very similar to archipelgo it's the balsamic note and MFK did good job using real oud from laos which after smelling ensar oud I can guarantee it's the real deal. Unlike my kilian amber oud is all synthetic and gives me headaches. Love ensar oud very generous man. Bought another bottle of green papua since it's on sale, just one day after smelling pure oud from ensar. Thanks for your honest reviews.
Nikhil..I must say, thanks to You my journey on attars and many many others from east is started. Its amaizing how You are telling and inform us about those beauties. I have few Al Faransi, ASQ safari extreme, MFK OUD, ajmal mukhallat and few more...thank You so much my brother U are such a kind of person..right now I know something about OUD but still begginer, I think.. and I must buy few samples from Ensar Oud. Only then I will know exactly what U are talking about. Thank You
Going to have to get a bottle of Dior Fahrenhiet Absolute. I do love John's work. I very much enjoy ginger and black tea. I will be geting some samples of Fragrance Du Bois .Great list .I learned a lot Happy New Year .
Nice. Now I have to go back and re-visit Saharaa Oud & London Oud. I just picked up samples of Oud Violet & Oud Jaune from their house. Haven't worn them yet, however. I intended to futher investigate the 2 previously mentioned but, you know, once you're in the perfume shop, you feel obligated to smell EVERYTHING you're potential interested in..!!! It can be overwhelming, at times. Great Suggestions, keep up the Good work.! Honors🌍
I enjoy both Creed Royal Oud and TF Oud Wood. For every day wear, especially in Fall/Winter I prefer Creed Royal Oud, but for Special Occasions I like TF Oud Wood. Both are excellent. Another one I like is Boss Bottled Oud.
Greetings Nikki! Have been watching your videos that are very informative & fun as well. Checked out the site of Fragrance Du Boi and they have several types of Oud combination. I will bank on your recommendations of SAHRAA OUD & LONDON OUD. Thank you much, keep these videos coming, they are all too inspiring. Am a natural perfumer from the Philippines and I do my own extraction of essential oils at least from flowers I grow in my perfumed garden. Can you recommend where I can get some good Oud. Does Ensur Oud sell small vials? I need these to complete my palette of resinous scents. Good Sunday!
Wonderful list Nikhil. If I was to add my favourite wearable Oud to your line up it would be the beautiful Puredistance Black, although of course, the notes are not listed.
You are too good, I would like to meet up with you when I come to India next time, I am big fan of Francis Kirkdijian, l have six bottle as a back up for each of his Oud , except Kashmir and Velvet, I have to learn from you you about Indian Oud which plays a dominant role in Kashmir and Velvet, satin , silk , Oud , are Cambodian, which I adore.i also like Oud for greatness, but I want to buy some Indian Oud with your help, the funny thing is Indian Oud starts to subside it’s strong smell slowly, which I experienced from some Oud I bought on line from Arabian Oud.
Can you tell any similarities between FdB Sahraa Oud and Roja Amber Aoud, if exists? How do you compare them both? tks, i really enjoy your content brow!
Is the Oud Satin Mood EDP or Extrait better? I noticed the MFK website says the notes are different but people say they smell the same. Also, which gets more compliments?
Sir where can I get a tester or a sample for Sahara Oud ? Please advise ? After listening to your reviews I m craving to smell this Oud now and understand your point of view...kindly help Regards
I have smelled oud +rose combo very much which is typical arabuc and a bit boring for people around me.. I want a leather smoky oud. What that would be?
Nikhil Sir I was trying to layer some of my Oud oil/perfume with some other oil/perfume and today I got a good blend (Kuros with Deep oud ) it's wow , thanks for your advice on layering.
Hi do you have any alternatives for Tom Ford Oud wood? I absolutely adore the fragrance but IMO its way too expensive and I hear that the performance ain't the best either.. Thanks. :)
@perfume guru Im thinking to get " acqua di parma colonia intensa oud .. Im jus reluctant cuz of mixed reactions over it. Is it ground breaking.. extraordinarily made perfume or a hype just created ?? Pls let me know ya opinion on it. It would b helpful in clearing my loath.
Assalam o Alekum I do hope from Allah that you will be fine Sir Ap ny apni video mai OUD perfume k bary mai bahot detail k sath information di hy mai Simply aap se ye pochna chehta hon k jin Oud shop k bary mai ap ny bataya hy jahan se original oud available hota hy Agar Shop tak Access na ho Tu admi ghar bethy kis tarah mangwa sakta hy Us shop ka koi number hy k un se koi acha sa oud order kiya ja saky Please tell me Thank you
The only two Ouds I love and own are Tom Ford Oud Wood and MFK Oud Satin Mood extrait. I too love Kerosene very much. I own many of his frags and appreciate them all..
Great to hear about oud. But I highly doubt they have true dehn al oudh as an ingredient. I know TF Oud Wood uses the synthetic aroma Black Agar Givco 215 from Givaudan.
I received Blue as a birthday gift and I am in love with that scent! You can literally see the color blue when you wear that fragrance. Blue is my favorite color and I think they have made an amazing job with this one. Parisian Oud is also very beautiful but the longevity on my skin is not as great as Blue intense and Red Intense which has the greater longevity and projection.
+Exotic Scents He is very simple and open minded. My favorite fragrances from Jovoy are Private label and l'arbre de la connaissance. Dusita is for sure a great house. I have sampled Issara, mélodie de l'amour and Oudh Infini which was great but the fecal oud opening was a little too much for my taste. :-) That said, I really enjoyed Issara which has similarities with Ivory Route by Xerjoff and Mélodie de l'amour was a little too feminine for me. Why don't you create a similar boutique in your country?
Hi Nikhil like watching your videos. I work in Saudi and possess good collection of parfumes. Are you based in India. Would like to communicate with you to discuss more middle eastern fragrances including Boruzz by Rasasi
What an outstanding list! Where to begin...Fahrenheit Absolute is a masterpiece scent, but I don't wear it too often these days due to it being discontinued. Thankfully, I picked up 3 spare bottles while they were reasonable priced a couple years ago so I'm good to go; I tried the infamous Oud Wood 2-3 years ago and...well, I thought it was nice, but it just didn't grab my attention and scream, "Pay $$$ for me." Moreover, I brought home two or three decants and this fragrances lasts only 1-2 hours on my skin before completely disappearing - extremely disappointing. I too love Kerosene fragrances and have five (5) full bottles. While I do thoroughly enjoy R'Oud Elements, my favorite from this house is Broken Theories...not sure why this one doesn't get more love, but I think it's fantastic. I have AdP Colonia Intense Oud (Colonia Leather too) and love, love, love it! Although I have never tried Colonia Oud (I'll trust your nose when you say they are cut from the same cloth) I just love how coriander is used in this fragrance - wore is just last night and Creed Royal Oud two nights ago. I really enjoy Royal Oud...just don't wear it often these days, but I may wear it while attending a formal black-tie affair this coming New Years Eve. I tried MFK Oud 2-years ago and liked it (along with some of the other MFK Oud flankers) and liked it but didn't love it. I'll have to revisit this one during the next few months. Rasasi Oudh At Boruzz Asrar Indonesia is on my to-buy-list...perhaps by the Spring. Sahraa Oud and London Oud sounds really interesting...but not easy to sniff in my area, and the prices are...well, very pricey to say the least. Still, I hope to try 'em one day. Enjoyed!

I would like to know your opinion on Frederic Malle’s The Night. If you haven’t tried it, I recommend buying the 10ml which goes for 290USD. I would be interested in seeing your review on this. Thanks.
I saw your list after checking the side bar button and tracked it down- so no need to - but thank you. I didn’t see your list before. It was Al Borruz asrar Indonesia rassai. Thx
