It’s a shame V-Rods we’re overlooked back in the day, because to me it’s the only Harley I’d be interested in buying. Makes sense it’s popular with MCs in Germany because the engine was co-developed with Porsche, so there’s a perfect American/German national pride mashup
My last 2 wheeler was a 2007 Dyna Streetbob. I rode it from Jax Fl to Sturgis and back. I suffered 2 broken backs so I had to pull the trigger on a H D Freewheeler Trike. I am currently on my 3rd one, The 114 M8 is a beast. Thank you Sose for this platform, Love and Respect #ghostin in Florida
The bike I like to ride now out of all the motorcycles I've ever ridden Harley-Davidson Fatboy the Terminator motorcycle that Arnold Schwarzenegger Road
Will be going on 2 yrs this season since buying my 2001 Fatboy, is 1st bike i ever rode and have owned now, wasent planing to really get one and learn to ride(never owned anything with a clutch) but when i saw it in the craigs list add I was just drawn to it, After buying it I took it for a ride around the block a few times to figure out the clutch, went and took the riders course got my lisence and have had a blast since
I like the history of the American clubs... Like how everybody rode a Chopper or a Bobber, and customized their bike themselves. Riding a hardtail chopper is an experience I think every biker should have! Where I live it's Glides and Dynas all day tho, the M8 softails are comin up quick to.
I’m still rockin my Vic Highball, just one of two in my mc to have a Vic, HD for everyone else. I might get an HD sometime, but I’m never getting rid of my Highball.
I ride a 2,000 Harley Sportster 1,200. Single spring seat, black Paco springer front ending, everything port and polished weld filled squish ring to get that bathtub shape around valves. 2.1 pnut tank military green tiny front fender military green, chopped rear fender with a raw High sissy bar with natural petina. Homemade round oil bag mostly rust and sealed with clear. Z mini hangers black. Chrome spoked wheels with the super thick and high sidewall bias ply type tires! I had a choice between building that or getting a soft tail narrow glide springer with an S&S 96ci, and I went with the sportster and wouldn’t change a thing if I had a second chance!
#ghostin in Nevada. I've ridden a '04 Dyna Low Rider, a '19 Softail Low Rider, but now I ride and love the #FXR I currently have an 89 FXRS Low Rider that's "slammed" and I plan to get one of the "touring" FXRs like the FXRT and FXRD, or the FXRP. They can be updated with bigger Evo style motors from companies like S&S, and even fitted for Twin-cams. Shout out to the Buell designed FXRs. Harley's best handling motorcycles! As far as what clubs are riding in my area, I sure see a lot of Glides these days.
Rode my Triumph back in the 70s (with many in between) and the last 10 years, my Road Glide. Can’t do forward controls anymore due to back issues so giving the new BMW R18 Classic a shot. So far I’m pleased with the ride and the overall power/torque. Doesn’t compare to my RG on long hauls though.
#Ghostin Hey Sose, I'm in a 1% support club but I ride a Softail Deuce and love it. Get a lot of ribbing from brothers for not riding a bagger but I love the handling and feel of my Softail. Won't be on a bagger anytime soon...
Polaris consolidated Indian and Victory. Both good bikes. My main ride is a #Sportster, with a dressed #Lowrider #EVO for touring and long runs. There are several 1% clubs in Southern California that exclusively ride sport bikes, and a few that ride dual purpose and adventure touring bikes, and I know of one diamond wearing stunt crew that ride Groms. Outlaw racers (people doing non-AMA racing) ride a lot of CZs and JAWAS on speedways, and XLR-750 Sportsters are popular for that, too. Most 1% clubs here like big bikes, a lot of Road Kings and Road Glides, and an Electra Glide here and there. Street glides are not as common. The other really popular bikes are Dynas, then Softails, though chopper and Vicla guys like the softails and the big (1200) Sportsters. Personally I prefer my Sporty. It's kind of ridiculously hot rodded, but I'm an old racer so it fits me.
I'm not a club member or have ever been, however in New Zealand and Australia a lot of the boys around here down under love VRods and I gotta admit they're nice bikes
#GHOSTIN Saludo Boricua. Dang brother, there are a bunch on channels throwing hate at you. Hate to see that. Keep up the positive content and rocking the boat!
To me is ride your ride as long as it’s not slow lol . I have my 09 nightster 1200 done up and I keep up with all the 114 and bigger bikes . Might have to fuel up more often on a long trip but I love my Harley and won’t change it for anyone
#ghostin I'm a non-club rider, and spend most of my riding time on goat trails and extreme twisty backroads where clubs never go. Rocking an orange Suzuki V-Strom 650.
I own a CFL, fun for about an hour. I probably have more mileage on a CFL than anyone else on the planet. I also have a 2009 Night Train, love the bike. Fantastic rider. Next up I'm gettinga 2018 RG CVOin blackearth (CARHOLIC) Up here in Canada 1% ride RG
Never expected a vulcan to be excepted by some outlaw mc's I've been scoped out by few clubs from people I'm close to but I'd have to get American to join but I love my vulcan
#ghostin! Jjbad here which bike is best in my opinion whichever one is running at the moment! We all got our favorites but that's my take on it little different keep it up sos
#GHOSTIN. Do plan to get a road glide special this year or next. But for now just solo riding daily I ride a #Iron. Not the fastest but plenty for the 20 min ride I do 2x a day
@@SoseTheGhost did a few hour plus trips without issues but im ready for that comfy ass seat some jamming music and some nice ape hangers for a coast to coast trip.
Iv got a 2018 flsb sport glide 114 punched 8 over cammed Vance n Hines tuner cold airl intake Wisco pistons screaming eagle clutch s&s oil pump cam plate and tapet cuffs bigger injectors screaming eagle plugs and wires don't ride with a club anymore I left under good terms before the club shut down in my state
I roll on the HD SG. Gives me the comfort my old back needs when riding distance and plenty of room for when my ole lady is riden along. I personally like HD over other bikes but respect all those who ride on 2’s of their choice.
Personally ive never ridden anything but sportsters, and yes i catch a TON of shit for that. Currently ride a chopped 01 sporty. In my area i see a ton of baggers though.
In NJ I see clubs 1 % to 99% and all groups in between ride the Harley tour models. Makes scene to me if you love the brand and pile in the miles do it in comfort. I ride a 06 sportster 883 custom. Of course I put wide glide bars on there and did some other stuff to make it my own
What's good Ghost I have a question what you have an American made cruiser will any MC clubs let a person in with that type of bike.. RESPECT 💯 from the WEST COAST☑️
2020 Indian chieftain limited . Absolutely love it , all my brothers ride Hd and trash talk me until we have a little race They can't even come close to keeping up. And no more trash talk 🤣
@@DemonsRow I'm currently rehabbing from crash in the f****** thing . Little riding like a maniac. First I had to have surgery and now the bikes in surgery but because of the supply chain I have to wait and man it's f****** killing me. Also thank you for inspiring me to get back on a bike when your channel first started. Very best antidepressant that I could have had . Much love and respect to ya.
@@DemonsRow I got a new job and don’t get to listen to my shows as much as I used to. I don’t have idle time anymore which is good in a way because it was turning me into a slouch!!
I was curious what the 1% though about license, tags and insurance? I have endorsement but suspension on my license, bad tags, no insurance heavily modified scrambler style bike
#GHOSTIN J R At Derbyshire England Harley Davidson is my favourite the rumble sound and styles is going to be my Noumber 1 Harley Davidson Lot people in my area Harley Davidson custom , Indian old style ,lot sports bikes at Darley Moor race track England Harley Davidson sopster ,Royal Enfield ,Ducitie 916, suzkie Bandit 250 ,Honda ,kawasaki
I’m just a rider not in a MC but I always thought it was more about what you do to make it yours than the brand. Anybody can ride something off the floor or pay someone to customize it for them but it takes real talent, dedication, and some imagination to really make it a unique part of you.
I've been riding for a little over four decades. Rode with members of many different clubs. Back in the day the old Triumphs were accepted as well as the Harleys. I started out on British bikes later on Harleys I still love them both.
My first "two" or for the matter of getting i license was a 71 , 650 Triumph Tiger. It was a basket case when I bought her. Within a couple years she was full restored and customized for my pleasure. The former owner had trophies on his shelves for being the fastest in its class. Even as a basket case it gave me my thirst for riding. I now roll on an 07 Fatboy, It has some goodies on her but none look or sound like her. I see what you see Ride on brother.
I’m not now but I was a biker in the early 70s. Now, I’m just a “pushing 73 years old guy” who still rides. And in my lifetime, I’ve never owned or ridden nothing but Harleys.
Up in WA lots of glides on the freeways, around town softails and dynas. I think there’s an age thing too: In my teens and 20s I could go cross country on a dyna all day mostly because I couldn’t touring bike. Now I’m older, got some more cash in my pocket and the touring bikes are getting more appealing.
Man, it's like you read my mind. Picking up my first Harley sometime in the spring. Was looking at some bikes the other day, and literally had a thought like "I've seen 1%'ers on some badass bikes. I wonder what they roll with." Two or three days later, you answer that exact question.
Nice! Had my VN800A for a while and got the thirst for more power. Was looking at the VN1500 and also sat on a mates VN2K. BIG bike!! Would you recommend the 2k or is that too much of a jump from the humble 800?
@@thenotoriousmrtwitchmachin7004 the 2000 is awesome. The only thing is it straddles wide. Not an issue for me, but people I know teeter on tip toes when they hop on it. That, and it comes stock wit a 5 speed, so my ankle tattoo of 1N23456 was a little out of place, LOL!
Northern California 1%ers like the (Clubstyle)FXDX-Tsport/FXDX, Dyna Lowrider S, Lowrider, FXRP, FXDB, Roadking(T-Bars), Roadglide(T-Bars) and now the new HD Pan-Am.
#ghostin, I have my 2015 softail slim. Love my bike. But it's all about what you can afford and just being on 2. Love the information tho. Much respect for what you do. Keep it up.
I live in California and to be honest I see everything here. My preferred choice of bikes are vintage inspired choppers. One that look straight out of 60's-80's easy rider. Everyone loves to talk shit on hardtails but I love them. Most people do a lot of the Dynas and new softails, a lot of Hispanic rides do the heritage classics with 18" apes and spoked wheels. #Teamsportychoppers
Not in a MC, much respect for all MC's. After having a chat with a Sgt. at Arms, Bandito one night. He asked me what kind of bike I had? I said I didn't have one at the moment. He said, what are you looking for? A Harley? I told him No! He looked very surprised. I told him I couldn't support a manufacturer who wouldn't support the people that kept them going in the lean years. I told him I wanted a Victory or Triumph. A week after talking with him I bought an older Victory, 2 weeks after that I bought a Triumph. Didn't really like the feel of the Triumph after riding it for awhile. Ended up trading the Triumph to have work done on the Victory. Loving my Victory! Currently in South Mississippi, moving soon back Oklahoma.
Interesting to be reminded about the Triumphs as I knew two ex pagans (from the 80's) and at least one of them still rode a heavy custom Triumph that would shake you apart on the road if you did not know how to handle it. I also knew some one that had an old Indian chopper. It was pretty much the same or similar to an old Harley from the looks of it. A fun ride either way.
Still riding my 1949 El Panhead as I have been for the past four plus decades. Hand shift, foot clutch, kick-start only. It's not a garage Queen. It's written several times a week now that I'm retired, but it used to be a daily rider.
Great vid Sose, I love my Triumph Tiger 800 adventure bike. I can tour for miles fully loaded then take it off road if mood takes me. If I had the spare cash I would love to add a HD to my garage... #Ghostin from the UK
The BMW S1000RR might be just under 1000cc but it is absolutely insane, and makes North of 205 horsepower. That thing is a rocket ship lol 21 seconds to reach 300km/h (186mph) with a 10.1 second 1/4 mile at 150+mph I ride all kinds of bikes, but my American made bikes are a 1992 HD Fxr super glide 1340cc, 2012 HD Road King 103ci and a 2018 HD Sportster 48 with an S&S 1250cc. They are all a blast but admittedly I have spent the majority of my time building the Sportster as of late (as you can see on my page lol)
#GHOSTIN I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan. I will be picking up some kind of Harley in the springtime though, not quite sure, whatever feels right. I have to edit and add on here. I found a picture from 2 years ago where I tagged ghostin so I know I've been following you for at least 2 years.
Just saw your video about getting the crash bars! Think you said you have you have a softail slim? I have a softail standard. After some health problems I was wondering how you like them? Considering putting them on mine!
Here in The Philippines, one of the big clubs mostly rock Clubstyle Dynas. Other big clubs prefer Kawasakis and Softails. Then there's a lot of Roadkings, Fatboys and Sportsters for 99% patched and none patched bikers. Much love and respect to Demons Row and everyone around the world! Keep it #GHOSTIN
@@DemonsRow The scene here has been growing over the years, new local MCs also popping up. There's been some parties thrown lately with everyone there. It's great because there's always that mutual respect with everyone.
#GHOSTIN' - I see quite a few Wideglides w/ Shovelheads around the MC's here.....I myself chopped up 2 frames & built mine, so I guess you can call it a Yamaglide With a late model Shovel & its a rigid....Its registered as a Yamaha (for cheaper insurance) because of the neck serial VIN
#I like the Softail Custom (Beyond the Law Charlie Sheen bike) It always had a biker look and feel. Had one back in 08! Skinny front wheel with 200mm rear. Wish HD would bring it back. The new Softail Standard just doesn't do it for me! Be safe Sose
Victory folded when Polaris bought the Indian name and didn't want to deal with two companies. Indian actually runs a lot of Victory technology and look. The new liquid cooled bikes are running a design created by Victory just before folding. Victory also got their look from Arlen Ness, who designed their bikes. I am an #FXDWG owner, I love my Wide Glide, and will rock that long lady forever. I want a Road King one of these days. I am not a huge fan of fairings on a bike.
