For people asking, the F-22 Raptor is mainly for air superiority and was not designed as a multirole aircraft, even if it has a ground attack capability.
@@georgeantabi6025 Because the stealth technology has a tradeoff, due to it's special coating cannot hold even a rain dropplet because it will decrease the feature do to the mass of the rain that affects the coating. That is why the stealth plane cannot be recognized as a multirole aircraft.
Su-30MKI shot down by PAF JF-17 with PL-12 that made IAF desperately asking for Rafale or F/A-18E. It shouldn't be on this list as Sukhoi is Russian company. More advanced Russian SU-27SM3 or Su-30M2 with latest Russian avionics should be on that spot.

Rafale is the the only"ommirole" fighter existing,in a single mission it can do everything recconnaisance,bombard,air groud,air sea,air air a "multiroll" must be configured and armed before each departure mission
"Omnirole" is just a marketing word or a bad translation for being multirole. The Rafale is undoubtedly the best in this category that said but any multirole fighter (Rafale included) must be properly configured to perform various missions. Let's say one equips a F/A-18 with an anti-ship missile, two BVR missiles and two Aim-9, two laser guided bombs and a targetting pod, the F/A-18 is no less multirole than a Rafale. Just a matter of how much payload a plane can take-off with and same goes for RTB. To assume that the Rafale is the only plane that can perform several missions in one flight is false, even the F-35 can do that (it was designed for that actually). That's exactly the point of a multirole jet.

What? The new version of the Gripen E/F has the General Electric RM16 (F414-GE-39E) not the Volvo RM12, that one engine was used for the C/D version. Also that range from the F-16 and the Gripen is Ferry range which means they're using external tanks for more extended autonomy, that Mig-35 range is without external tanks or any missiles or bombs, is just the plane fully charged with fuel, if you're using ferry range, then the range of the Mig-35 is 3100 km approximately, depends of how many liters does the PTB can carry.
@Prabhudutt Bisoi The Gripen was designed as single engine to save cost of maintenance and fuel consumption, and to be honest, is one of the best 4++ multirole aircraft and being single engine, so must be a very specific decision for not choosing the Gripen, also this plane are for more neutral or pacifist countries that need a low cost multirole and they only use it for internal situations, for example in my country Mexico they would be an excellent interceptor for narcotrafic jets and shoot them down, also they had an interesting offer from SAAB in 2017 if I'm not wrong, they offered to install one assembly plant for the Latin American region, we had the opportunity to have the first assembly plant to build combat aircraft and a very good one with a good potential of sale, but the government from that time, very stupidly choose to reject the offer and now the Mexican Air Force is a shame, Brazilians didn't lose the opportunity and choose very wisely the Gripen against the Super Hornet, Rafale to improve their Aeronautic industry (Embraer).

I'm Canadian - hard to argue against the Gripen vs. Super Hornet. Politics and number of engines aside, the Gripen is faster, can fly higher, and has better range. And, most importantly, crazy cheap vs. others. My heart prefers the F-18 and F-35 (for different/obvious reasons), but logic clearly supports the Gripen.
The reason Australia won't get the F-16 or Gripen is that we prefer not to use single-engined fighters... usually. The F-35 has been the exception to the usual requisitioning process, because we were asked to contribute to the development process financially.

It was high price at the beginning, the price has came down substantially. Only 78 million for an F35A. You're gonna have high cost when you're creating a jet that's the most advanced in tech. R&D is expensive. You are adding things to the jet that haven't been implemented on a jet before. This is why cost was high

I totally agree, especially in comparison to the Russian aircraft. The Mig-35 hasn’t even performed in combat so to have it ranked higher is ridiculous. The Su-35 is primarily an air supremacy fighter. I would take the F-15E and F-16 any day over it for a strike mission. Both aircraft are highly praised by ground troops for CAS missions.

Yes but its electronic warfare isn't better than any of the fighters ahead or its maneuverability and its arsenal isn't as good either. Hornets, Rafales, Eurofighters, F-15E, F-35 and SU-35 are just better in all aspects besides production cost and maintenance.

I would rank the rafale 1st without a doubt, not only does it have good avionics and electronic but it got an amazing payload for its size and it can fulfill any tasks (Combat air patrol, air superiority, interception, anti-ship, SEAD, bombing, air to ground, nuclear dissuasion, etc...) In addition, it isn’t maintenance hungry, can take off from both carriers and low condition airfields and is combat proven. Finally, the pilot can easily switch to another objective as long as the plane is equipped with the good payload while some of those multirole aircraft require to land to be prepared for a different mission. The gripen is really underrated too, it might be a single-engine fighter but it got some impressive multirole capabilities especially the "E" variant.
Sorry but when it comes to mutirole fighters the Rafale should be first by light years. I would have been nice if you had added aircraft ordnance on this video as it would have shown 1. That the Rafale is the only fighter (and jet) in the world that can carry more ordnance than its own weight and 2. That it can actually carry 1.5 times its own weight.

Rafale RCS is 0.75 and JAS39 is 0.5 vs X-band vs L-band which is much more accurate than X-band their RCS is likely up to 5m2 considering L-band made F22 RCS go from 0.0001m2 vs X-band to 0.01m2 vs L-band

Imo something more realistic would look like this: 10- Su-30 MKI (mostly an air-superiority fighter) 9- F-16 (last iterations) 8- JAS-39 7- Mig-35 6- Su-35 5- F-15 EX 4- F/A-18 (despite the F-15 having an awesome career, just for the sake of the aircraft carrier capability which is a huge advantage) 3- EF Typhoon 2- F-35 Lightning II (mostly the C variant to my liking) 1- Rafale (starting from the F3R version, but lacks the downward facing EOTS and stealthier internal bay type of airframe)
Based on the Numbers , Strike Eagle and SU-35 are Line-Ball Leaders , as expected really , and the Little Gripen is a BARGAIN in third spot . Also as expected .

Gripen ng is as powerful as other jets like rafale or eurofighter, but is 2 times cheaper. If the money you spend in one rafale or one eurofighter, you get 2 gripens.
Let's see if I still recall all (though not sure if some of these fighters are air to air combat only) 1. F22 2. F35 3. Su57 4. Su35/Su30MKI 5. Rafale 6. F15 7. Eurofighter 8. F18 9. Mig-35 10. F16/Gripen-E F22 and F35 are self explanatory Su57 is debatable. Also it isn't used in high numbers yet. Su35, Su30MKI are pretty much similar to each other. They are better at dogfights rather than air support role, so they'd rank below Rafale in multirole category. I just give a higher preference to more maneuverable fighters. Rafale is an excellent multirole fighter. F15 is more of a A2A fighter rather than multirole. Kinda same for Eurofighter. But both are pretty good. F18, Mig-35, F16 are pretty much the only other multirole fighters that are operated in high numbers. Maybe Mirage 2000, but it's probably not as good as above fighters. I haven't considered any Chinese jets as the data coming from Chinese government is what they wanna put out rather than the truth. So can't comment on how good their fighters are.
Because a lot of things those planes can do, The F-35 can do much better in many areas.. While having stealth capabilities at the same time and being the most advanced fighter in the world.

Aircraft with not the best performance in the parameters that I have listed and the possibility of vertical take-off and landing. It can't be on the top. Can we all take this time to Respect the Harrier. harrier has served our world for a very long time, we all have very good memories made with it. It's a shame that such a iconic aircraft which has served alot of countries so well didn't made it into this list. We could Atleast have some respect for it as harrier will celebrate Christmas with all of us

Only the Rafale is designed to be an Omnirole combat aircraft since 2000's (when we read the list of capabilities, nuclear strike too) , he should be on the top of the list when other aircraft are designed to be very good for Air to Air with possibility to add air to ground support. Except for the F35, stop with that hollywood plane everywhere, that's a fkcing joke, the only advantage is the "supposed stealth", and because it's an US Plane lol. When we saw the F35 performances against 4th generation like Rafale and Typhoon, that's a terrible joke for US. The f 35 was never designed to be multirole, it was the surprising results of the Rafale, doing at least equal play, or proving superior to specific mission aircraft (which had never been done) that pushed the American staff, for fear of losing many export markets, hastily modified the f35. Which is the real reason for its catastrophic development. The same goes for other planes, the Rafale launched a trend that pushed all aircraft manufacturers to change their planes in this direction, with more or less success, for example the European Typhoon, which, because of the placement of its undercarriage main landing, cannot carry large bombs or tank ventral.
