I'm a 3rd year BSN student. I go to a pretty expensive upper-mid level university. My advice: go where its cheaper. A BSN is a BSN. all looks the same on a resume.

FYI the nursing program at UW is much harder to get into - the 49% is deceiving (which the University is trying to fix) That may get you into UW but then you must apply separately to the nursing program which lowers your chance significantly - the actually acceptance is closer to 20% - source: real world experience with children that went to UW

Hey i live in chicago too but idk if i wanna go for adn or bsn because idk what chicago hospitals take adn or bsn can you help me out?

I'm not sure which hospitals take what specifically. I do know that a hospital will hire a bsn much faster than an adn. If you want a bsn but don't like how much time it takes, there are a lot of accelerated Bsn programs out there. Look into those

@@RyanMolkentin I think most accelerated BSN programs are only for people who already got a 4 year Bachelor's degree in a different subject, and now want to become a nurse. They only have to take any missing nursing prerequisite classes, and then can just take the bare number of classes their state requires for them to be considered ready to safely start training as a new nurse, so the can do that in a shorter timespan as they take fewer classes, and usually those programs are very fast paced and condensed courses, as they figure people who already graduated can handle the faster pace of classes.

John Hopkins does not have a traditional BSN program, so it's possible that's why he left it out. Then again, he did mention Duke which doesn't have a traditional BSN program either
