Did the Spartan Beast in LA and the Olympus was stupid hard for me and anyone I saw try it. You made that look easy brother! Wow! Props to you. Wish I saw you do it before I attempted it myself. Love your vids boys!
Thank you my friend! That obstacle is by no means a guaranteed success for us. We had one race each this season where we struggled on that thing. The chains and the gloves help, with feet as high up on the deck face as possible. These are the gloves I had on in the clip in case you are interested in checking them out: amzn.to/3or9tmw
I agree with the ranking! Well done! I did the Palmerton ascension from hell twice during the Super and am still looking for my quads. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who thinks the Savage rig with the blue plastic Swiss cheese is consider a BS obstacle to you guys, as well. I love that obstacle at TM, as well. Well done, great season and looking forward to 2022. Hope to see you guys out on the course, again. “Train Hard, and Have Fun!”
Thank you guys for all your awesome videos - it definitely helped me out by seeing all the obstacles on Tough Mudder and Spartan - hope to see you in those races next year! I'm already signed up for Tough mudder Philly, and the Spartan in NJ!
I had to pause this one. I can’t believe I didn’t comment before. When talking about the Tarzan rope. I was one of those Ultra people coming. First lap I was able to go across just fine. By second lap. All but the farthest one on the end was functional. The other ladders were all broken. Swimming to the end one was about the same distance as the penalty loop. But I’ll say the cargo net after was almost as hard when the cramps from the cold water kicked in. So many people were locking up. Also the steepest hill you started with was brutal. I forgot it even happens on the first lap. I told beast runners on the second lap that we were done with hills then we hit that and it all came back to me.
Hats off for doing the Ultra! We noticed too that there were several non-functional rope ladders for us. Sucks that only one was functional on your second lap!
Been following you guys from the beginning and I'm glad to see your channel keep growing. Hoping to cross paths at a Spartan, Tough Mudder or Savage Race sometime. Keep up the good work, fellas!
Thank you so much! And yes, we hope to cross paths out there on the course as well. Will hopefully be moving around the country more next year, spreading out from the North East.
Completed my first Tough Mudder last weekend in Laughlin. The mudderhorn did a number on me due to my fear of heights. But luckily, there were amazing people to help me through it. Definitely a crazy obstacle!
I have to disagree with your take on the savage rig. I love the challenge the blue board brings. The fact that the obstacle has a very low pass rate makes it very satisfying to complete. It gives competitors something to train for. I think every race needs an obstacle that is extremely difficult and challenging to the pro runners.
I ran my first Savage Race last month. I completed Anchors Aweigh, and A-Frame cargo nets and I loved them! Then I made the Cornhole in one shot. But I was unlucky enough to run into your "crap" obstacle. I honestly just grabbed the first two holes and didn't know what else to do after that. Almost everyone else didn't complete it and said "to heck with this".
