The Solarium is really nice. However, Cafe Two70 at the other end of the ship is an absolute gem. The food is nice and light (salad and wraps) and the views out of the back of the ship are just fabulous. You can eat in the Two70 theater when the open up the back curtains!
Room 13118 was my room for an 11 night cruise to the Southern Caribbean both me and my fiancee loved it. The captain even let me go onto the bow of the ship to propose to my then GF. It was so cool major thank you to everyone at Royal Caribbean for making this happen.
I think it’s so crazy that we already pay for the cruise but wifi is hundreds of dollars, spa is an additional expensive charge etc. I can appreciate that there is a lot that’s included but your pricing for some of these things are insane!!
I’ve been cruising since the mid 80s. And the cost of a cruise has remained relatively steady. Travel is a business like any other. While giving more amenities, they are going to have to get their money somewhere.
There are cruise companies that include everything but they cost a bit more. Check out Regent. My first cruise was 1993 and a 7 night cruise with Princess. It cost $2500 a person for an ocean view but it included much more and the food was amazing.
@@tamlund3441 you beat me to the punch lol. I was thinking the same thing. I pay way more money on other vacations and still have to pay for the add on things. Lol
Odyssey was my first ship! I watched this video on my cruise day morning, driving from Daytona to Ft. Lauderdale. This is where I found some of the best hidden secrets that I never would have found otherwise! Thank youuu
Family was on Odyssey in July in Med, knew about most of these from other videos. Fun to find them all. - Need to sign up for Zone Zero right away! Not available when we tried on embarkation day, even with The Key. - Not really hidden is Cafe 270, but like the Solarium Bistro rarely ever busy. Great place to use your Refreshment and Premium Drink pkg for coffees. Then sit and enjoy the view or join one of the events going on.
I found the bridge wings on Quantum at about 5 in the morning as we were sailing back into New York. Was the next to last cruise on Quantum before she became the slow boat to China. It also had the glass floor stair looking all the way down to the Promenade. Can't wait to get on Odyssey in April.
Hey Matt thanks for the video tour, love the soft chairs and shade seating, love the pub bites, and I seem to remember that harmony of the seas also has the bridge wings I think I recall standing out there on sale the way add Port Everglades looking at the condominium area where they have the live camera shot of the ships leaving Port.
Love the video! We’re onboard Odyssey right now for the west bound transatlantic 2022. I’m looking forward to finding everything! One thing of note and I don’t know if it’s just this cruise or all now but Solarium Bistro is for Pinnacle Guests only, all day. Not a big deal but just letting non-pinnacle folks know ahead of time who might be looking for that as an option.
We've signed up for a Rome to Rome cruise in Aug 2022. I've been binge watching all of the content I can find on this ship! It sounds incredible and I can't wait to explore. Even though it's a nine day cruise I don't know how I'm going to do everything that I want to do.
We were on the Odyssey a few weeks ago and will be again in March. We loved that you could do the Ifly and the North Star for free on Port days. Do you know if you can buy a day pass to the thermal spa?
Anthem was my first large ship and I’ve got my first and second Oasis class ships booked. I just saw we can do Odyssey out on NJ in 2025. I’m thinking that’s the way to go. Thanks for the great info.
So yeah, Giovanni's Wine Bar has snacks, but so did Vintages. Yeah Jamie's ruined that though. Oasis and Allure still have the amazing Spanish Tapas menu at Vintages. Now THAT's a secret that needs to be told. Wish Royal would bring that to the other ships!!
The Solerium Bridge Wings! that's what they are called. I gotta remember that from now on. On all the ships I've been on. I love going on the ones that have those at night. It's where the least amount of light is and I could really see the stars. So amazing at night.
Was on Odyssey in early August and we found and did all of the list except the zone zero and the pub food. that would have been nice to try the apple pie. My fear of heights only allowed me to walk on the glass floors once. great review
I am so jealous you have been on this ship. We had booked it to go round the Greek Isles leaving Ravena (Italy) on 9 Oct, but it was cancelled and started sailing from Israel instead until the war troubles restarted there. So our cruise was doomed. I will be looking at Wonder of the Seas when sales start on 22nd September now instead 😏🙂
We are on this ship Oct 2, Greece and Holy Land, leaving from Rome. We love RCCL but this will be our 1st for this class ship. Excited to see what they have. I love the Freedom class.
Looks like an awesome ship but, as a photographer / videographer it appears that there isn't too many places to use without glass in your shot. Not much for shooting over the railings, example @. Only exception is a couple small area's on each end of the ship. Thanks for sharing. 👍
8:43 Glass floor in stair. Great idea Royal Caribbean; what woman wouldn't want a dozen floors of people in an atrium stare up her dress? Seriously, what were you thinking?
No, but you can order a la carte instead of paying for the full specialty restaurant experience ($44/person). Our truffle caprese salad (by far the best appetizer we tried) was only $7 and was our favorite thing we ate on the whole ship!
I really wish they had a weight limit for guests to board the ship. Some of these people are so large that you can't even walk around them! Also, there needs to be an age limit as far as the elderly. There are way too many wheelchairs and old people blocking up the ship with how slow they move. No one over 65 should be allowed on the ship.
Anyone else see that scratch on the glass staircase landing that looks down into the ship. Lol. If it can scratch, it can fracture, if it can fracture, and it break. Lol. No thanks !
