Which is your favourite home?

My personal opinion (not subject to anyone's comments) is this: Going "off-grid" doesn't mean relinquishing oneself to medieval times of the past. Rather it is finding a balance -- reduce carbon footprint by using natural energy sources (i.e., solar panels, hydropanels, or even water-recycle systems for plants) and other sustainable resources in the home/building structure (smaller in overall size) to power a modern life. Quite a few of these are way too far "off-grid" (wood stoves reduce forest). My model is a more balanced approach in housing as stated above.

Completely agree. We tried to find a balance. The stamp house in Australia is the ultra modern, while the woodmans eco hut is on the opposite end. Then the others are somewhere in between

You are a rare gem with a fascinating mind. It is so rare i can read/hear. This kind of thinking, thought expression and overall experience behind those above. This heals my fractured mind. Dear stranger, thank you so much for a moment of bliss for my mind. I do not remember how long it lasted or how it felt. I remember the state my body and mind after. Never stop thinking, it looks very good on you. Thank you.

From late 2020 in December, I began searching places on where I can start a new life away from world civilization. I daydream about everyday since my senior year of high school because I sometimes just want to go on my own journey, adventures, and direction and because I want to feel reconnected more to the Earth itself and make it my home. I want to live off grid because there is too much problems in our world and I just don't to be in these situations for where we have to suffer with others from ongoing taxes, wars, greed, politics, conflicts, money, electricity, power, traffic, overcrowdness, and businesses.

Metal coathanger so he had 52 free firelogs and hed compost the ashes and when the coathsnger became brittle he put it n the scrsp metal to sell. Good for the environment and his wallet. He had no garbage bill as he recycled all. Saving $17 per month and he always put any savings into sny principle of mortgages.

These are stunning. My favorite is number 6. But, there is an essential contradiction for the sustainable. The houses are not affordable for every class. So, if we gonna reduce carbon footprint globally how can we do it ?

Well said 💚 We tried to show a mix of houses from different budgets. Some of these buildings are made primarily with waste materials!
