to clarify: gerrard isn't on this list because he's going to the la galaxy, zanetti isn't on this list because he has played in argentina before he went to inter, messi isn't on this list because he's only 27 so he has plenty of time to go elsewhere, del piero isn't on this list because he played for padova before he went to juventus and for sydney and in india after he left juventus

Ashton Smith Well Terry had been with Chelsea since he was 14. He had a loan spell (meaning he was still a Chelsea player) in 99 very early on his career in which he played 6 games. His time at Forest barely even qualifys as brief. I mean it said in the video...

Maldini should be first. Was a much greater player than Totti and won many more titles. Although the criteria weren't explained, I can't see why anyone would think Totti is somehow more important than Maldini.

G Wuyts why would Maldini leave Milan though? He's probably the greatest centre back of all time, he was a huge reason for Millan winning a lot of the titles they did. He still had Real Madrid, Barca etc trying to buy him. He stayed true where other ac Milan "legends," left. He was even offered a lot of money to go to Juve. I think he should be first based on how amazing a player her was. Just an opinion though ☺

Mohammad Samad Beckenbaur wasn't a modern day centre back. He was more of a sweeper, he played in advanced positions a lot of the time. Amazing player, one of the greatest players to grace a football pitch. But I think as an out and out centre back Maldini was the best.

Le Tissier, should be second place (just behind Totti). All of these players had been very successful with their clubs and gaining a shit load of money. You only know it's loyalty when a player goes through good and bad with their club! The only reason for player to leave their club is money and trophies but if you have both you don't have a reason to leave.

The thing why I don't want to put him up there is because we don't know and will never know how he would have reacted when he had to leave Man U. I do not agree with this because not every club has bad phases. Some just dominate like Barcelona and Manchester United and players stay loyal to them even when offered more money elsewhere. That is still loyalty.

if a loan doesnt count against you than Lahm should be on the list. born and raised in München and played in Bayerns youth academy. even though he was loaned out early in his career he has been a key player ever since. he had countless chances to leave when other clubs offered lots of money but said he wanted to stay

I know Gerrard is leaving at the end of the yer, but he hasn't yet, and the fact that Real Madrid pleaded for him to move to them several times, as did Chelsea, United, Milan, Barça, Munich and many many more he stayed at Liverpool, he could've won so much yet he stayed at Liverpool and has been the main reason to all Liverpools success over the last 15 years, he is truly incredible

You might not know him, but Ricardo Bochini should definitely be in there. He´s one of the most succesful south american player ever, a he played his whole carrrer for a sigle club: Independiente.

Think it's harsh not to put Gerrard on this list, if it was up to him he'd have stayed at Liverpool and played there till he was 40 at least but if he's no longer going to get regular starts he has to move on. Doesn't mean he isn't a one club man, don't think he will have any sentiment towards LA Galaxy.
