The Yamato part reminded me of a video idea- Times Fans got mad or disagreed with a creators choice, or something along those lines. Example is Yamato being canonically female who is just a huge Oden fan while some fans are adamant that she is trans and say that Oda the creator is wrong.
I really like Nico robins demon form since it is a physical representation of what she had been going through her whole life until joining the straw hats. Plus it’s stands out as a unique design with it actually looking downright hellish
While I don’t disagree in the slightest on the #1 choice (Seriously, it is the best), can we all have an honorable mention to Robin’s Demonio Fluer transformation? Haunting, beautiful, and just what was needed to shut Black Maria up for good!

they wanted to make it that way. They mean that his DF awakening might bring the best of the best out there. Like oda said, his DF is the strongest, and his powers are limited only to his imagination! They wanted to represent the fact that gear 5 is out of this world and he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. Toying with kaido seemed like a child's play for luffy

I heard they got animators from looney toons to actually help with the episode. No confirmation for that on my end though. You can hear very nostalgic sounds tho while he’s beating kaido’s ass 😂

Gear 2 shouldn't be this low. It came early in the series but it was a super hype since no one expected Oda would give Luffy a new form or ever will back in the day. It still hits different watching it back during the fight vs Blueno.
One thing I like about One Piece transformations is the way they’re constructed and how they function, it all seems to fit in place with the respective characters

I get it: Gear 5 is amazing, the animation team put so much work into an amazing episode to introduce the new power up and we’ll see more stuff in the coming weeks of the fight for this month. But for me what should have been on this ranking, was Robin’s demon power up that was seen against Black Maria, that in of itself was so epic, it should have gotten at least an honorable or be on the lower parts of the top 10. 😈 👩 🌸 where’s the love for Robin
I knew Gear 5 was going to be number one, but I am surprised Robin's Demonio Fleur, the Germa 66, Kaku's pre-time skip forms, and Sanji to Soba Mask weren't mentioned. Well, there's a lot of transformations in One Piece, so maybe a top 20 is in order? Lol
After a whole 7 months of production for this singular episode (maybe more) I without a doubt appreciate how well Toei and the everyone on the Team who helped produce this masterpiece of an episode from the beginning of the end it was straight HYPE!!! 🎉😂 W NIKA MAN I’m in love with this Gear 5th, before I reached out to the Wano Kuni Arc, I’ve been always been thinking about how difficult it would take Luffy to beat Kaido and his army, and was making theory’s of if Luffy would unlock either an awakening or another Gear (which actually it was both an awakening and Gear 5TH)
Ever since Gear 5th made its debut,people have been divided. On one half we have people complaining that it's too silly and cartoony. While the other half are enjoying the over-the-top silliness which imo befits Luffy. Since he's never been a stoic or tryhard badass to begin with. Plus his df" is the personification of the Sun God. Which in the lore states he brought joy and laughter" to the world,as he fought for the freedom of all. Yeah that depicts Gear 5th perfectly. Nothing but laughter and fun 🤣
You know who doesn't need a transformation? Freaken shanks!!!! Can't wait to see him go all out!!!, not even kid who took out big mom couldn't even reach him!!!
We haven't really seen Jimbei go all out, either, and he's now a crew member. Who's Who wasn't much of a match for him, we didn't see much of his fight against that Vice Admiral in the flashback, and those are the only serious fights he's had on screen to this point.
I was worried Toei wouldn't give the animators the freedom they needed to do justice to Gear 5, which would be ironic since Gear 5 is absolute freedom, but they really are letting them go hog wild here and it's amazing.
Lucci is on the list but none of the dinosaur zoans or Robin's demon transformation are? Also feel Marco should be higher. I remember seeing his transformation the first time and I was in awe, way more than over Chopper's different transformations or Sengoku. But that might just be me XD

Gear 5 so far is indeed rediculous. Everything arround Luffy turns to those old timey *Rubber* hose animations. So I get why it's the gear 5 of the gum-gum fruit. The floors are suddenly trampolines and can rebound Kaido's attacks. The things Luffy grabs become elastic and can fling him back (even stuff like lightning). He can move his body freely into any shape to benefit him, like inflating his hand big enough to wrap arround Kaido's body and pull him through the roof. It's not invincible though. Luffy is great with thinking on his feet during battles, but how good can you think on your feet while also laughing your ass off, as if Luffy turned insane.
