I've been obsessed with mermaiding for years now, and a few weeks ago I finally tried it with a mermaid instructor... And I'm in love with it ! 😍 I just bought my Mahina, because that's what I used at the course and I really liked it, and I'm currently working on my design for a custom tail from Magictail, which I'll order in a few months 😍
I used to be super on board with Fin Fun, until they allowed an AI entry into their design competition and then let it win. And then decided to sell it with all the mistakes still in the design. That said, I have a custom from Magictail mermaids and I absolutely adore it! It's snug around the Mahina and the tips are filled with a kind of foam fabric layer, to make them less floppy. I love that tail so much
As a kid I always wanted a mermaid tail but I couldn't swim. My parents told me, if I learned to swim, I could get one. I wanted a magictail one. I'd spend hours on our old windows 7 computer in 2014 looking at all the tails and imagining scenarios. They bought me an amazon dupe. That's how little I am worth to my parents lmao But this year, 9 christmasses later, I am finally getting, my (very) long awaited, magictail.

My Mahina is now over a decade old and I still love it! I feel Like Nereid studios deserves an honorable mention. They’ve put out some really nice well Priced tails of late. I gotta check out that Brazil one tho, never heard of them!
I'm currently in love with mermaiding, I tried it once when I was younger, I got back into it and can't stop thinking about the next time I'll swim. I am saving up for a moonsong magic tail and a Mahina Monofin! right now I have a finfun tail from 6 years ago and as you can imagine its getting too small for me, hopefully ill get a new tail next for summerr
I have known about mermaiding for a long time. Im reading the second fishy business. Brainstorming how I can do mermaiding for a small business for me. I know a lot about the ocean, marine conservation, pirate history, maritime history. I had a two strokes when I was a little kid. I think mermaiding can help me with my disability. 🧜♂️

Great video, there are a few other good companies you might be interested in checking out. Neried Studies, makes really nice tails under $200 USD and they ship crazy fast. Two Oceans Mermaid is also in South Africa and her tails look very nice as well. Very fun video and I hope you make some more.
I can second Nereid Studios. They didn't ship fast for me but that's due to their big July Sale they had. I love my tail however, it's nice and thick fabric (I get cold easily). Also, I didn't actually have to pay customs (EU), no idea how they managed that. Not sure how good it would be for beginners though, since again a) even the new fabric is very thick and not as stretchy at least as the Finfun fabric is, and b) the fluke be huuuuge.

A small note for the Suntails monofin: It accommodates for wide feet up to US 12. I can't use a lot of monofins like Finis or Mahina because my feet are too wide, my ankles hit each other, or the area where the foot goes is way too tight. Still not too keen on FinFun after their Ai tail contest kerfuffle. ;/

Finally! I was wondering when you were going to make an update! Can a Fantasea 1 fit into the Sun Tails and Magic Tail skins? Also, do you know if the Fin Fun Elite will fit those skins too? I have two Magictail skins too. The H2o one and a purple H2o, Fin Fun Dory and Nemo and a few others, though not as many as you! I mostly make my own tails and design the fluke according to what shape the monofin is. I don't like vinyl flukes either. Too bulky and unnatural looking underwater.
Hi! I'm trying to find any possible reviews but not having much luck. Have you heard of or used any tails from Ladonna Mermaid Thailand? I see their ads on Instagram a lot, but have not see any or many reviews (and cannot seem to find if anyone has info on what monofin it fits). Thanks!
Do you know any other retalaier than MagicTail? I'm not really fond of their designs. And ordering outside EU is quite expensive with shipments and taxes. I wish we had more choice inside EU.
Next question is, I’m looking for a school here in the Philippines or even Thailand. Finding a legit school is becoming a challenge. Any thoughts or suggestions?

i remember watching your first video about where to buy fabric tails when i was 11 and first getting into mermaiding :’) nearly 19 now & i haven’t swam in a tail in years but i really want to get back into it at some point. i’m glad the community is still alive and kicking! 🫶
