Sadly it is true... hide was a GENIUS with a guitar. He was not limited by musical style or genre, and I think he broke all the boundaries when it came to mixing everything from Industrial metal to SKA along with Punk and Rock.
1. X Japan Was always a big inspiration for Versailles - Philharmonic Quintet- but the guitar solos sounds Similar, it's not a copy. In my point of view. 2. the GazettE isn't the kind of band that copy other band's style. They have an unique style and many bands work like inspiration for the guys. But the comparison in the #9 sounds just similar too, it's not a copy, at all. the #4, things like the intro duration and the rhythm of sing in the song, makes the difference, but the rhythm and the guitars have the same sound and that's a little bit of copy.
I think there's a difference between Plagiarism and Similarity. These sound similar, but I have also hear similar things to these in MANY songs other than the ones you're compared.
Sex Machineguns (king of heavy metal plagiarism) Some another similar songs: Sex Machinegun - Whiplash (Metallica) Midori no Obachan - In god we trust (Stryper) Aijin 28 - Freewheel Burning (Judas Priest), The man on the edge (Iron Maiden) Guitar solo of Devil wing - Guitar solo of Seven doors hotel (Europe)
Deflina Ma'riage did it first I believe, Sadie first used those riffs in CHILDREN OF DESPAIR 2006, Lycaon used it in 2008 as a breakdown for 1st degree.
LOL the the vocalist(I'm assuming) of Grieva even looks like Kyo back then. Kind of the same case with Sadie who kind of imitated mid-2000's Diru for some time.
The beginning of ONE OK ROCK-Chaosmyth sounds like The Police-Every breat you take somehow... could you check it? I mean the part after the bass begins to play in Chaosmyth...
the chorus of mejibray's echo always reminded me of onmyouza's kouga ninpou chou chorus (just slower of course), but the example right here is way more similar! also i have 2 suggestions: 1. Killaneth's Seraph vs. Girugamesh's go ahead (the synth-melody and the metalcoreish rhythm) both starting after the intro... 2. Liraizo's anata ni korosaretai vs. Girugamesh's omae ni sasageru minikui koe (the whole instrumental parts in the intro, i think there might be even some transitions in the drumparts that are exactly the same without any changes) sorry for listing both girugamesh songs :P
Ahh cool, you put in my suggestion!! I guess Echo doesn't sound too similar to Monochrome no Kiss when I listen to it closely, but it might when MnK slowed down?
+angel your sugestion is correct, echo sounds a lot like monochrome no kiss, the main difference is just the slower tempo, i guess every 9 out of 10 people will tell you the same,...
Although I don't dislike Grieva per se (mainly because I support even the shittiest VKei bands there are so the scene won't die so I'm down for whatever) I gotta tell you, they have done THE SAME as old school Dir en grey countless times! It gets ridiculous! I get that they really like Diru and so do I, they're my boys and all but fuck, no band ever sounded and looked and acted so damn like Diru, ever! It doesn't bother me and I can't hate them 'cause they sound just like my fav band so, I can't help but find their songs catchy or whatever, but they gotta stop being so obvious lol
Still wish X japans endless rain was on here cause the opening piano part was from a jazz album by an american and I legit have never been able to find it after someone pointed it out in some long gone video.
Really? I mean I know Grave is literally Mein Teil by Rammstein but other than that Deathgaze has its own sound. Almost too much of its own sound in the sense a lot of their songs sound really similar
@@TheTrendkillerx Listen to any of their earlier works and you can hear it. Chaos is a good example of it. Don't get me wrong, lots of bands copy their influences, especially early in their career. Deathgaze is a great band, and so is Slipknot, but it should be recognized that they copied them.
@@heliotroph3750 Chaos is one of my favorite tracks by deathgaze. Which Slipknot song is it copying? I know their earlier style is similar but I don't think they stole riffs from them.
Hide - Doubt and Marilyn Manson - Little Horn have many similarities. I remember Hide's personal copy of Antichrist Superstar in Hide Museum at Yokosuka, and back in time when he died, there was an urban legend that they were "friends". Other Manson inspiration is Doll-Dagga Buzz-Buzz Ziggety-Zag and Dir en grey's Asunaki Koufuku Koenaki Asu, but then again, Dir en grey's Vulgar album is love letter to western metal at the time and has many other inspirations. Another vk band that was a real MM copy is "mushi", I still play songs as God TV, they're pretty fun.
En mi opinion no creo que se traten de plagios sino coincidencias, las melodias ya estan en la musica y es inevitable para los musicos coincidir en creatividad, siempre habra similitud entre canciones de diferetes partes del mundo
in case you didn't notice: Megaromania also copy Electric eye by Judas priest in Distrust Labyrinth. So did Jakura in Rasen, in this case they copy Bitch is back by L.A.Guns
do your research, Sadie used those riffs in CHILDREN OF DESPAIR 2006, Lycaon used it in 2008 as a breakdown for 1st degree. Since sadie recycles and and both 2011 gazette is the one stealing. 😂😂😂😂 at them ripping of sads, their fans need to choke on that and stfu
Dafuq?! the word of title is about Plagiarism? Similarity, isn't it? Don't you know the mean of these both word rightly? And laruku is about what U2 made? Oh come on! Make a judge to the all band with things plagiarism
+Victoria Montenegro All i need to know is that they are NOT a cover band, so if they use Dir en grey material without at least giving credits, that is stealing, sorry
in case of music videos i think that dir en grey's obscure is ripped off of malice mizer's illuminati - both vocalists see images of their bandmates doing some, well, obscure things to themselvess well to others. also whole plastic tree is like a japanese version of radiohead
Ademas plagio es cuando toda la letra de la canción el igual al de la otra banda, que solo aca muestran solo una parte de la canción que es igual al de la otra. Eso no es plagio es coencidensia
Well, actually i mean that in whole japanese rock concept in general, but even so i guess my knowledge about visual kei isn't too bad either,...imo their song writing is so so, their skill is so so and rely too much in persona/gimmick rather than music itself,...to me nightmare, versailles/jupiter, and matenrou opera are better,...
+andri marpaung well thats why i've said u dont know alot about vkei or the gazette in general, back with time to 2007-2010 ans try to listen to the gazette or just take a lilte look at their new concept now, ive seen them live one months a go and their performance is beyond everything u've ever seen before, and ur suggestions show that u dont know alot about japanese music, atleast say d'espairsRay, ViViD or somthing but jupiter... are u serious ?!
+Ryuko kei well, to put it simply, my statement is that the Gazette are overrated, and to say some band is overrated means that there are other band that more deserve to be put on their place instead, that's why its pointless to mentioned vivid or d'espairsray which already disbanded,...
I can't believe this isn't a video about Yohio, everything Yohio does is copying! He has copied the looks of Versailles members, The GazettE members, Lycaon, SuG etc. Also he copies the music and such 😂😂😂
