Johto theme is my personal favourite. True, nothing can quite beat the original theme, but the Johto song simply makes me super happy every time I hear it. ♥

"Unbeatable" is my favourite Pokémon theme song, not only because Advanced Battle was the first season of the show I ever watched, but also because it plays during my favourite Pokémon movie, "Lucario & the Mystery of Mew".

Galactic Battles, Journey Starts Today, and It's Always You and Me are my personal favorites, but even I can't deny that the original theme will always be the best

The Journey Starts Today is just an earworm to me. Not only was it an incredible opening song, but notice that it doesn’t even mention the word ‘Pokémon’ in it, so you can add the song into so many situation. It’s like Katy Perry’s ‘Electric’, which was made for Pokémon, too, but doesn’t have Pokémon in it. A true masterful song doesn’t just exemplify one series, but many.

Nothing is as legendary as the first scene of the first Pokémon theme - Mewtwo and Mew in space

How could you forget the Sinnoh and Unova region's Theme Songs 😭😭 Still Thank You for this tribute to our childhood memories. Hands up if you know all the song on this list🖐️ Pokemon Forevah. Congrats to Ash. We are so proud of you!

O. G. theme, pure timeless nostalgia. The whole song captures the series perfectly even to this day.

The best part is a lot of these songs got even better with their full versions. Hits like Unbeatable and Believe in Me we’re awesome in their opening form but exploded into sheer awesomeness when they got a full version.

I've been listening to the first season theme song since my childhood days. I was mesmerized by that and I'll never forget every single lyric of the theme song. It still stood the test of time. The first season theme song, Born To Be A Winner, Master Quest, This Dream, Unbeatable, and Battle Cry (Stand Up!) are the songs that kept in my memory for years when I was a little kid.

So glad Ultra Moon's theme is on here, it's so unique and so GOOD 🔥

As a retired, veteran and former Pokemon fan and trainer. The OG opening of Pokemon will always be on my no.1 list, I grew up watching the first season of Pokemon before the other seasons come out and the original opening holds a special place in my heart.

The original theme is beyond greatness... The extended version particularly gives me chills every time!!

Whenever I here the original Pokémon theme, my brain instantly thinks of the SMOSH video that launched their whole brand. That video is still iconic & hilarious all these years later. Sadly the original upload is lost, but I know copies do still exist on the internet. So with a quick search you can enjoy the video too. Definitely worth tracking down if you’ve never watched or haven’t watched it in a very long time. Man do I miss those early days of RU-vid and how carefree it was.

For me my favourite is ‘We Will be Heroes’ from Diamond and Pearl.

Pokémon theme songs are just too brilliant most of the time! My most top favourites have been Pokémon Johto, Pokémon world, unbeatable advanced battle, Pokémon theme and my most favourite is believe in me Master quest because it was the first I ever saw as a kid. I think the next video should be the top ten best Japanese opening themes too, because some of them are so amazing.

I watching Pokemon since age of 5 when I was in 1st standard and now this year 2023 I'm 24 years old. Most of Pokemon opening songs are my favourite but Pokemon sinnoh league victor's op theme song is my all time favourite. It's starting as "It's about you it's about me, it's about hope, it's about dreams"

Happy Pokémon World made it into the Top 10. Grew up with the German version and it always gives me goosebumps and puts me in a good mood. Happy our dub team actually used the English versions in this case, nothing against the original Japanese openings, but the English ones hit different :)

Born to be Winner is my favorite but the Galactic Battle theme from D&P was amazing too!

Damn, this video has me feeling crazy nostalgic. Besides the original theme I think Jhoto is the absolute favorite one for me. So many cool songs came out of that series. I also give credit to the song "Officer Jenny" that Brock would sing at the end of some the episodes for influencing some of musical taste today. Ash Ketchum, we're gonna miss ya buddy!!

The instrumental version at the end of Ash's journey in Kalos, showing key parts of the entire way was a perfect way to finish the XYZ saga

Well, the original Pokémon Theme is simply in a league of its own, nothing will ever surpass the feeling it gives.

The fact that they did not include Galactic Battles (Stand Up!), Journeys (The Journey Starts Today) and Sinnoh League Victors (We Will Carry On)

This video is just one box of nostalgia for many trainers out there including me. I'm so happy most of these themes are part of my childhood.

I'm from The Netherlands. In The Netherlands all theme songs of Pokémon were translated into Dutch with one exception: the first one. Every time i hear the first second of a pokemon theme song i can sing every song along for begin to end. Unbeatable has a very special place in my heart because it was the first season of pokemon that i watched and understond as a young boy and altough i'm a huge gen 4 fan, unbeatable and the first theme song will always be my favourite. I guess that is both the power of music and Pokemon, everytime you hear a theme song it will bring you happy memories and reminds you of a simpler time. Thank you for all those memories Ash and Pickachu, we will miss you.

I grew up with gen 5's openings, so i grew up with them. and i love them!

My personal favorites are Stand Up Battle Cry (Galactic Battles), Unbeatable (Adavace Battle), Stand Tall (XYZ), Belive In Me (Master Quest). Keep in mind I love most of the theam songs they are bangers and nostalgic. Of course can't forget the O.G theam always gonna be a beloved theam.

The original song still rocks today. Another favorite of mine is the song from XYZ.

Stand Up does exactly what it tells you to do and gets you up on your feet and doesn't let go. That song is just such a freaking banger. 😊😊Unbeatable is also another amazing one. The energy you can feel in that song is so good. You can't go wrong with the original of course though. The 90s kid in me is just screaming nostalgia. 😭😭❤

Diamond and Pearl had good openings too that they deserve to be on the list. But the real challenge is the originals. And by that I mean the Japanese versions.

Stand tall is one of my favorite Pokémon theme songs I like that beat and the arrangements pretty good but I also like Pokémon advanced battle and also the original theme song. It’s pretty amazing. I’m so thankful to be a Pokémon kid

I stopped watching Pokémon in 2006 when KidsWB switched to 4kids or whatever that was and the show’s animation/voice actors changed. Plus all the Saturday morning line ups like Static, Xmen evolution, Jackie Chan adventures, ect all ended that year aswell. So my nostalgia goes from the original theme all the way to Advanced Battle. All of those are eargasms to me. I think my personal favs switch from Joto(uplifting fun and cheerful) and Master Quest(inspirational and emotional)

Nice. Now these were the golden age of the Pokémon series. Also my favorite theme songs has to be the Johto and Advance series, those were the best. Maybe next time maybe do a top 10 of the Japanese songs.
