Valentines Day is here so what better way to make use of the day than to make a video on shippings in the Pokemon anime, games and manga? Cause we all know that there are Gym Leader shippers out there. Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion, but I do feel like I have good reasons for most of the shippable Gym Leaders on this list. But regardless... Here are my Top 10 Pokemon Gym Leader Shippings!

No one is gonna care about my comment so if you bother to read it I respect you. My #1 favorite ship is Fatherlyshipping (Falkner x Janine) before HGSS came along and when you had to get the gym leaders phone numbers Falkner and Janine argue about who's dad is better in the games. However, before they even interacted in the remake of Gen 2 they actually interacted in the Gold, Silver and Crystal arc in the manga. Janine a lot like Falkner also picks up the history and tradition of being a ninja. In the manga Janine also worked for team rocket due to her father as for Falkner he works as a police officer. What they had in common . Took over their father's gym . Both of their fathers disappeared without a trace Plus in the Kanto vs Johto gym leaders tournament Falkner and Janine ended up going against each other which sums up to the HGSS. The only difference is that in the HGSS both of them appear to be mean unlike the manga both were actually chill. Not only that but Falkner did show care for Janine when she forfeited the fight against him because she was looking for her father. When Janine forfeited and ran off to look for her father Falkner chased after her to see if she is ok. Opposites attract between these two if you ask me.

@@HybridHero Hear me out: Korrina with Brawly. -Both from a coastal city in their region -In addition, both cities have a historical site nearby -Both enjoy a specific sport (surfing and skating respectively) -Obviously they’re both Fighting-Type Gym Leaders -They both use a part of the Machop line -They at least look similar enough in age Just think about it 🧐

Bea and Korrina are similair in age. The only things that don't line up are the sports and the coastal city. But here's the thing: Opposites attract. Just look at Milo and Nessa.

There’s a point in HeartGold & SoulSilver where you can actually run into Falkner and Janine of all people, talking about each of their fathers. While that’s a cool discussion topic for them to share, it makes you wonder. Why would they both travel out so far just to have that conversation? That could easily be something you could talk about over the phone (all Gym Leaders have PokéGear access, don’t forget), but nope. I dunno... something about those two... Edit: If I haven’t convinced you already... they’re literally standing against the wall behind some store shelves.

Brycen & Sabrina already have the pair name PokestarShipping. Piers and Raihan is ShadyScaleShipping due to their Galarian Star Tournament tag, although the fandom likes to address them as RiseUpShipping. Ego is for anime Misty & Gary, gamewise their pair name is RivalxLeaderShipping. YinYang is Lucy and Anabel (the Frontier Brains), Bede and Marnie would be FairyPastelShipping. Brock X Jasmine is MineralShipping, Falkner X Erika is HummingbirdShipping, Morty X Sabrina is SoulShipping.

Not really a "shipping", but I always thought Flannery and Candice can be besties. Despite specializing in "opposing" types, they feel so similar - peppy, yet determined. Even their animation is strikingly similar in the World Tournament. Their native climates could prove troublesome, especially for Candice - Flannery technically can wear more clothes and lose the advantage of being really easy on the eyes, but if Candice ever gets to Lavaridge, she's screwed - but these two really should hang out. I like to call that the "Temperature Sismance". Like a bromance, but between girls? Sismance. I really do want GameFreak to have a gym leader that could technically be suitable to be shipped with Flannery. Bonus points if he's Fire-type. That would be quite... *puts sunglasses on* A Pyromance.

They still do actually during the Emerald arc where Winona, Wallace, Sapphire and Ruby were on a boat watching a wedding unfold and Sapphire still question Winona about her connection with Wallace and Winona did show some feelings towards Sapphire and then she questions Sapphire about her relationship with Ruby.

Elesa and Skyla actually had quite a lot of "shippy" interactions, especially in the memory link (which is actually where the ship name comes from, as Elesa references the movie "Airplane") and in Pokemon Masters (in one event there was a cutscene where they talk, and Skyla thinks about how amazing Elesa is while hearts float above her head). Heck, they even got galpalled by their theme skills in that game (same with Flint and Volkner, actually). So AirplaneShipping has way more to it than just them being two of the "steamiest" female gym leaders. Also, I give an honorable mention to GlistenShipping (Maylene/Candice) and Erika/Sabrina.

@@mewmewfan1527 I know :) Also fun fact, did you know she was originally supposed to be a Ghost-Type leader in Lavender Town? It’s true. Look it up. She was going to take the Ghost slot from Agatha, who in turn would have had a team referencing her rivalry against Prof. Oak, complete with the first three Eevee evolutions.

I think an honarble mention should go to bugzy and viola despite having only one thing to prove my case being Pokémon masters you can see that bugzy likes viola at least somewhat it’s kinda funny and before you say it don’t worry it’s not a huge age difference but that’s my opinion
