Machine duplication can be used on a card like Cyber Dragon Core that has 400 attack but it's name is treated as just Cyber Dragon so you could use it on Cyber Dragon core and summon 2 regular Cyber dragons that have 2100 atk.
@@manuelsilva9993 Yes, it's true. Machine Duplication is one of those cards that has weird synergy with name changing effects. In case you're curious, try running Phalanx Pike in Harpies, it's another funny interaction.
@@ultrainstinctgrey9184 So good. Use it with Cyber Pharos to make your deck so much more consistent. Cyber Pharos is either good as Seiger material and then banish from gy to search power bond or use it for the fusion summon.
Feast of the wild LV5 Card text: doesn’t say “for the rest of the turn” Text in the video: says they cannot attack for the rest of the turn What hiru said: effects are negated for the rest of the turn
It's interesting that he had Feast right after U.A. Powered Jersey...since the two best UAs are Slugger and Ace...who are level 5 warriors. Slugger + Jersey + Stadium = bonkers. And since UAs can bounce themselves for other UAs, and then resummon themselves (though that's a hard OPT per name on summoning that way), you bypass the effect negation of Feast.
I REALLY want Sergey Volkov's Earthbound Servants from Arc-V to be real. They seem like such a fun Archetype and a great reference to my favorite big boss monster archetype in the series, the Earthbound Immortals.
For tachyon transmigration, I actually think it’s a reasonable side-deck option in any deck that can spam level 8 monsters. If you know you’re going first (which actually occasionally happens if you’re playing an otk deck) you can make photon lord and set this to get 2 negates, or if your opponent has built in st removal you could just make tachyon dragon. Definitely going to try it out.
A while back I played a gimmicky control deck called Buttertrix. It was Traptrix and butterspy. Basically I would make photon Alexandria queen, bounce the board, and trap hole anything my opponent tried to re-summon. It was fun but I know it wouldn't do well in competition
I figured Snake Rain would be #1. I was also thinking Inferno Reckless Summon, Sekka's Light, and Recurring Nightmare would make it on the list. Definitely broken cards waiting for the right deck.
Machine Duplication actually has synergy with Cyber Dragons by being used with Cyber Dragon Core. While on the field, Cyber Dragon Core is treated as "Cyber Dragon" which means you can bring out two level 5 mini beat sticks and summon Nova/Infinity from there.
Top 10 cards whose effects changed in the series Examples: Mirror Force. In Duelist Kingdom it destroyed all ATK position monsters and inflict damage equal to the the difference between the target and all ATK position monsters.
Honestly, why can't Konami release good Roid monsters? The last wave of support had some nice effects and the trap is of course really powerful, but they just lack proper monsters in general. Mobile Base, although a cool FortMax reference, wasn't anything to write home about.
Photon Alexandra Queen is good, but Metaion, the Timelord is much better. It does the same thing except it has good protection and it keeps you from taking damage.
Snake Rain made me think about how Venoms need a wave of good support and that got me thinking about a new version of their Field Spell. Ultimately I think that archetypes that put counters on the opponents monsters need not just a bunch of new support, but that support should include a way to transfer counters to the new monster when they use monsters on field for Summoning Material or Tribute Fodder. I think if they had such support it would greatly help their gimmick work.
Yeah. Or maybe just change the counter mechanic so that counters just transfer to whatever is summoned using the monster with counter. I don't play TCG but would it be OP with Cubics though? Those Cubic counters are the strongest counters I know so far.
I second this. There are a lot of archetypes that have next to no members, less than 3 support cards and/or have a lot of members that don't work together despite being in the same archetype. I already have 5 potential candidates for the list and two of them were mentioned in this video.
Exactly. When I was little I always loved butterflies. When I saw the was Butterspy cards I was excited. Imagine my horror to what I got. The same can be said for Melodious and a few others.
@@JTWatts-rq6zb I personally feel Melodious is pretty fleshed out, but it could use a Link to support fusion monsters. My list would look something like this: Butterspy U.A. Guardian Celtic Guard Aquaactress Time Thief Nitro Atlantean Marincess Triamid No particular order.
@@MasterArchfiend The Aquaactress is spot on and Guardians is what I feel we personally need right now to. How it'll work in today's meta I'm not sure but I actually like this list.
Please do a video on "Dark Synchro" or "Negative level synchro summoning" from the 5D's anime and your opinions about it. When the anime first showed them I thought they were so cool.
Tri-Wight: *exist* Ojama mains: Its free real estate Bonus: Machine Duplication was at #2 Deskbot mains: Am i a joke to you? Then again, this was what happened in Duel links, not sure about TCG and OCG
@@bijuutamer729 Yeah pretty understandable Its kind of surprising that some Archetype was pretty trash in TCG and OCG but turned broken in Duel Links And of course there are also the opposite
My number one is Arcana World. Just waiting for a combo one day where it is to easy to get him out, plus to have always two tributes for its cost. Getting the right coin toss isnt difficult already.
Combos with D.D. monsters and Black Ninja are quite consistent (you banish the two D.D.s for the ninja effect, then the three come back at end phase). Searching for Valhalla and the Arcana Force Field arent hard Either, making The World easy to come out. The problem is searching for him, what you dont have many ways (the best one is that Scuba Diver card that puts him in the deck top at battle destruction, it was already terrible 15 years ago).
Dinomist roar (+2 and constant bouncing), w nebula meteor(draw, trigger flip effects, and summon from deck), and space gift(read it) deserve to be on this list.
Honorable mention to Skelgon, though, who is probably the worst Fusion that is a vanilla. It's Level 6 (no Instant Fusion) Zombie (no fusion archetypes) and 1700 ATK (bad stats for a level 6, so even Scientist FTK didn't want it). I don't think there's a deck in this universe that'd run it.
Who remembered Trishula, Dragon of the Genex got summoned via Machine Dupe? Two card trish with potential 2 searches is too good that if it's not Genex, Machine dupe would be banned.
Hi TDL, I've been watching a lot of your vids when i started getting into yugioh again since master duel. I was searching youtube and i cant find a video of yours about cards that has non destruction removal effects.... If theres none, please make one. Your videos are the best among all yugioh tubers. Keep it up.
Well most if not all of my really good normal monsters are actually pendulum monsters so if it does count here you go all the Exodia pieces not including the head the entire ignight archetype Sky dragoons of draconia mandragon dragoons of draconia dragong sea dragoons of draconia Dragon pulse magician Vector pendulum the drakko overlord metaphys armed dragon and of course the strongest main deck normal monster that I can think of and I have blue eyes white dragon and I guess red eyes black dragon I don't have that one
I want Battleguard support, that would be your Level 5 Warrior deck :( Yugi has tons of support for multiple cards.... Kaiba, Joey, Mai,Weevil,Mako all have some support for their cards.... Now give us Battleguards for some Tristan support. :D
Wait... Arent Photon sñasher and Overlay booster a thing? Like. Once youve already used them.... To re use them. And even if they have their effects negates... Overlay booster still activated once it becomes a Material. So... You just need to get the right thing.
Tri-eight is pretty good with agent of creation Venus, Venus tudors out 3 shine balls out to link away to help make a saryuja or other link 4’s, and with tri-wight it can help potentially summon out another saryuja
Fun Fact: Machine Duplication allows for all sorts of crazy combos in Cyber Dragon Decks. You can practically form a giant board if you start with Cyber Dragon Core and Machine Duplication. Essentially, Core has 500< ATK, but it's name counts as "Cyber Dragon" while it's on the field. So Machine Duplication allows you to spam out two free copies of cyber dragon from your deck. *Why isn't this card banned!?!*
Mysterious triangle is my favourite card. So many outplays were made in duel links. Set, wait until next draw phase and quickly dispatch a back row and go for alien overlord and easy win
Snake Rain might have been broken with Evols post-DENU. Snake Rain makes 4 negates (2 monster negates + 2 HRDA-style negates) + 3 potential refills for those negates, which sounds absurd in this format
convulsion of nature; in short there are not enough cards that make use of its effect. All it would take is a few cards that make use of face cards in deck and can be used for controling the field. To make up an effect I am talking about: if the top card of your deck is the same type (mon/spell/trap) send it to the GY and negate the card of that types activation or effect and shuffle it back into the deck, then draw one card. then you would control the field by suggesting negations to your opponent, forcing them to make plays... thing is plenty of cards have an effect that places them on top of deck when sent to GY and you know some or all of opponents hand thanks to convulsion. Artemis; she is a level 7 Fairy that allows you to summon a fairy from the GY by tributing another Fairy on your side; and each time a Fairy is summoned inflict 600 dam... not enough good fairy archtypes.
8:24 Huh, I could totally see Tri-Wight being an alright combo in a Heart of the Underdog deck (namely with Exodia Underdog as that is still my favourite YGO deck). Since Heart of the Underdog has a tendency to overload the Hand you can discard excess Normal Monsters to the Graveyard, then once you have - say - three Charcoal Inpachi or Oppressed People in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon three monsters with 2100 or 2000 DEF in one turn. And those three monsters themselves could be used as set up for a Synchro, XYZ or other Level requirement monster. Or better yet? My favourite Tuner monster - Flamvell Guard, 2000 DEF, Level 1, and being a Tuner monster you can Synchro Summon up to three times that turn if you Special Summon three Flamvell Guards and have a non-Tuner monster on the field. I really might have to try out Tri-Wight in an Exodia Underdog deck, as much as I love just shoving three copies of Heart of the Underdog a lot of Normal Monsters and maybe a couple of Magical Mallet or Reload cards. Also shout-out to Mokey Mokey decks getting the ability to Special Summon all three Mokey Mokey from their Graveyard with this effect. Mokey Mokey Smackdown giving this card an effective "Special Summon 3 Normal Monsters with 3000 ATK from your Graveyard" effect is beastly, though Mokey Mokey King probably is a better choice for synergy.
Kylie McInnes Dustons could maybe be a tier 0 deck if it was made more recently, Preventing all extra deck summoning and also special summoning from your deck would be BrOkEn, But you can still link summon, nerfing it too hard
Derpion the Derpy no I mean if they could link summon when they were released they would be broken, but when link came out they can’t prevent it, link summoning as well is great
ironically, U.A. has two targets for feast of the wild level 5, noble knights have 3 and gouki have 2, igknights have 2, junk has like 3, 5 or 6 if u count jet warrior, catapult warrior, etc.
I think it was in Yugioh GX - Spirit Caller that I used Machine Duplication on my Satelite Cannon (had 3 in my deck) and chain it with Swords of reveling light to basically get 3x 3000 ATK machines after 1 tribute summon. Usually an instant win after that.
Snake Rain was very used in Venominaga decks. You could easily discard a reptile, and then add 4 more to prepare the GY for Venominaga. A friend of mine achieved I think 7k attack on her.
Despite it's summoning Condition, Photon Alexandra Queen isn't a part of the Butterspy Archetype. Instead, for some reason, it's part of the Photon Archetype.
I play a small true draco engine and guiding ariadne in galaxy's so I can diagram pop ariadne and search transmigration. I call it 60 card true draco counter fairy galaxy photons. I will destroy the meta.
-I thought that Dragunity Barcha would be on the list because he's basicly a soul charge and easy to summon thanks to their new support. -I would love to see someone giving some love to the Alien archetype. -I use to use Tri-wight in my bad Cyberse spam deck. It was a bad deck, but it was funny to resolve Tri-wight and end with a u-link.
I love Feast of the Wild in Super Quant decks. They're constantly adding their Level 5 to the grave, and having two extra monsters out really extends their plays.
I can't wait until they release some new venom support which can place counters during your opponents turn such as when a card is special summoned and gives the counters more power such as negating effects or cards with venom counters can't be used for link summons and some good venom cards with graveyard effects. Also I think they could do with a series of effects than let you mill top few cards and set any venom spell/traps to help search out the trap you need to summon Their boss monster etc.
I think we all knew Snake rain would be number 1. Literally the second there is a reptile archetype that cares about being in the graveyard and isn't GAR-BAGE that card will be banned or at least limited.
I would like to add, Harpie's Feather Storm, is a trap that negates all monsters effects of your opponent that activates this turn, can be used if you control a wind winged-beast and is a handtrap if you control a Harpie Monster, and on the top of all, new Simorgh support is coming that basically includes a card with a Harpie's Feather Duster effect
I love Tri-Wright! I used it to spam Normal tuners and spam synchros. I made old Exodia decks that spammed Formula synchron, white elephant gift, and so on.
Royal Firestorm Guards. Right now rekindling makes pyros want stuff in grave, but if there ever comes a time when a great pyro archetype comes out, and you can extend plays by sending things back to the deck, it will be a beast.
Machine Dupe just makes me think of how that one dude who played Genex in the War of the Worthless tournament used it to make Trishula on a scarily consistent basis, due to name-changing shenanigans with Genex Recycled
DuelLogs: "Summoning from the deck is rare, and usually it has heavy limitations or dowsides." Blue Eyes Decks: "Allow me to introduce myself" (White Stone of Ancients, Sage With Eyes of Blue, and Maiden With Eyes of Blue namely.)
3:13 that or have a Alien monster you can place alien counters on, or instead, place a counter on any card, and that if destroyed lets you special summon from GY or deck, which makes that quick play spell double summoning from deck
Man... Most of those cards ive tried and failed making consistent (tournament) decks with... I remember using snake rain with darkworld and aliens for a random chaos deck... But that was just an outlandish dream....
Top 10 Duel Links Rogue Decks (Pre Synchro). There were so many stupidly fun to play but fairly inconsistent rogue decks in early Duel Links, and being so far removed from current yugioh, I think it would be a interesting change of pace for any fans that what something slightly more refreshing than your standard. My favorite was a dark fiend deck that revolved around Skull Lair, Chaos Zone, Magical Merchant, and Veil of Darkness. An optional but helpful addition was Soul Absorption.
the feast of the wild lvl 5 is what i use often and it doesnt say the effect is only negated till the endphase its forever negated when on the field i use it in my legendary fisherman deck which orientates around lvl 5 warriors :)
I don't know how long it will last, but aliens are currently a decent rogue deck in duel links. However, if duel links speeds up anymore than it already has, aliens will be left in the dust for sure. the addition of the cosmic fortress really pulled them back and gave them a whole lot of meaning and great recovery potential.
I don’t even play yugioh anymore for years but I like to keep up. I watch the full ads to support you because I like your content From editing to presentation and commentary. I don’t do this for other channels
Couple of honourable mentions I could think of: Parasite Paranoid & Cocoon of Ultra Evolution. Kind of gimmicky, but using both of those cards tributes one monster on either field and summons two big Insect monsters from the hand and deck, ignoring their summoning conditions. If only it had more decent targets than basically just Metamorphosed Insect Queen and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth.
for the N°4 since it's a rank 4 light warrior you can tribute utopia with xyz shift to summon it (and you can search it with generation force, the card not the set) also the the pk rum came out in Invasion: Vengeance in 2016 and azethot in Shadows in Valhalla in 2018.
I mean, alot of these cards saw some kind of play. - Reklidling was a centerpiece of Lightsworn Flamvell, a rather short-living but powerful for its times deck. - Mysterious Triangle was not a centerpiece of Aliens, but Gol'gar spam build that was solid T2 during early synchro era played it because it was just that good. - Machine Duplication... 3 words - Troop, Dupe, Scoop. This card had it's time of brokeness long, long time ago way before even synchro era. Card Trooper into duplication allowed to put 3 potential 1900 bodies that avoided things like Bottomless Trap Hole onto the field, mill 9 cards and potentialy draw 3. Konami decided to kill this strategy thru limiting Card Trooper but even without it Machine Duplication into something like Cyber Valley was pretty crazy play for some time.
dude, your video is really good, especially for those who are new. if you dont have any top 10 video idea, do an archtype explaining video. maybe the trick or abuse etc
Funny enough with Tri-Wight, I habe a really cool deck idea using the Guardragons with level 2 and lower normal-tuner-dragon monsters. There are so many ways to get them to the grave plus you have Cards of Consonance
I actually played with a UA deck back before link summoning was a thing. It was pretty broken. Haven't played with ua since then though so idk how it is today. They had a card that would let you special summon any UA monster from the deck by taking damage equal to that monsters level x3. So if you special summoned a level 7 UA monster you would take 2100 points of damage. But at that point in yugioh it was definitely worth the life points because so few cards straight up special summon from the deck for basically no cost and at this time ash blossom wasn't a thing yet. The strategy behind the deck was to make attacks with the more aggressive UA monsters and then when you were done attacking you would use their effects to return them to the hand to special summon a different one from your hand. It was essentially a tag out deck like Gladiator Beasts. The defensive ones had built in protection effects and I remember one of them back 2700 DEF or something. It seemed pretty busted to me. Nobody took the time to play with them unfortunately. It was a little inconsistent because they only had one level 4 monster, but I think at this time ROTA was still at 3 and like I said they had a spell card to straight up special summon any UA monster from the deck. And yeah, that UA power Jersey equip spell card is pretty cool too. They also had a continous and field spell I think and I think they had a couple cool trap cards too.
Surprised cyber dragons weren't mentioned when you brought up machine dupe, there are 9 targets in the deck for machine dupe that have their name changed to summon actual cyber dragons from deck, what's not broken about that?
You could technically still use Emergeroid Call in Speedroids as Roids have a generic fusion monster in the form of Barbaroid which just uses five macine roids and is a decent Roid fusion. It just needs a miracle fusion and it'd be decent. It's not necessarily an optimal choice, but it is an option.
I'm a little surprised there hasn't been like a "Snakeskin" archetype to take advantage of "Snake Rain". Like, a bunch of level 3 and lower monsters whose big gimmick is milling out of the graveyard by banishing reptiles out of the hand, maybe with attack bonuses based on banished monsters.
Machine Duplication + tuningware + lv1 tuners (with formula synchron, hyper librarian, one for one, dandelion, etc...) it was very strong for some time, especially in plant synchro decks with cards like glow up bulb, dandelion, spore. you could had so much card advantages it was pretty good. like glow up bulb + 2 tuningware = hyper librarian + draw 2 then glow up bulb again + tuningware = formula synchron and draw 2 again. and with the cards you've drawn, you continue the combos. you could also do formula synchron + dandelion = hyper librarian + 3 tokens and then continue comboing. you could easily spam black rose dragon, stardust dragon, brionac, trishula, scrap dragon... nowadays it wont be as good as synchro summoning is not as strong as before especially with how heavily the plant cards have been banned or limited, but I'm pretty sure it could still be at use.
@TheDuelLogs Might want to rethink "Machine Duplication", since there are Machine-type Monsters with 500 or less attack that treat themselves as "Cyber Dragon" on the field, so this card can summon out two level 5, 2100 attack point, Machine-type Cyber Dragon Monsters straight from the deck, which then can be used for some really powerful plays, such as going into Cyber Dragon Infinity or some of their other powerful extra deck monsters. Just thought I'd point that out.
