All you RU-vid commenters threatening to UNSUBSCRIBE to my channel, may just want to do that...I don't mind. In case you haven't noticed, I tend to post whatever I want on my channel. That includes Reggie, Kinsey, my wife, John Hancock, Drunken Master Paul... Game EATS episodes, music episodes. Whatever. And I will continue to mix things up. It's what I like to do. If you just want one type of video and keep things safe... my channel is not for you.

So happy Metal Jesus picked Xenogears. It's my favourite JRPG of all time hands down, brutally underrated. To those that complain about the second disc having too much dialogue I disagree, the story is so rich that it deserves and needs a lot of dialogue particularly towards the end. If you're a JRPG fan and haven't tried it do yourself a favour and give it a try!

Respect to you Metal Jesus for championing Fear Effect over Resident Evil. I've always felt the same way. I like the Resi franchise a lot, but there is nothing like those first two Fear Effect games. They were so eerie and nihilistic and... downright sick! Very creepy games with (for the time) outstanding visuals.

PS1 is definitely my favorite console of all time, as far as games are concerned. So many amazing JRPGs and platformers. My favorite game on the system has to be Final Fantasy Tactics. The variety and depth in that game is insane. Love it so much =)

I mostly missed the PS cause I never owned one but I’ve been really exploring this system lately (and if you ask me it’s the best game system of all time). Born in 84 and became a “car guy” in my 30s and just started playing Gran Turismo 2 at your recommendation and oh dear it’s like such a treasure of all my favourite cars in a then state-of-the-art simulator. This could easily join my top ten all time favourite game. I don’t see the graphics as dated at all. I can look at it through the lenses of me 20 years ago and I’m so impressed.

PS1 was my first console. Dad woke me up late at night, and had set it up on my TV. Never had many games, never even got a memory card, but great memories nonetheless.

Tetris has been re-issued on almost every console countless times in the last 30 years. Having Tetris in a top-ten of a system with almost 2,000 titles is oddly insulting.

To be fair Final Fantasy IX is very good and underrated however I didn't think the trance system was not as good as limit breaks in Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy IX, my all time favorite game!

I'm a little late to this, but one of the first games I played on the PS1 that blew away was Colony Wars. It was the first game i saw with CGI cut scenes and I was blown away.

I love the fact that FFIX made the top of the list. Definitely my favorite PS1 game, and one of my favorite games of all time. So good. I'd also like to shout out Legend of Dragoon. It was one of the first games I owned for the PS1 and it's just a really cool and unique RPG.

Glad to see Chrono Cross make the list. That game gets so much flack for not being Chrono Trigger. It's a great game. Play it again people.

One thing I learned about RU-vid is sometimes you have to purge your audience of the easily offended prudes since they don't align with your personality and make room for more people that enjoy you for who you are and actually enjoy everything about you! Tenchu 2 BotSA on psx is the best game in Tenchu series and my nr.1 best game of all time. Next is FF series (VII,VIII), FF IX im still ani't finished yet.

Hasn't played Resident Evil 2? WOW. Prob the best of the franchise.

First PlayStation memory: I was 12, and my Mom agreed to rent the system for a week. It came with a demo disk with Twisted Metal, Wipeout and some other stuff, but those two were the demos I played the most. My gaming buddy and I were addicted to Twisted Metal 2 for probably a year. Almost every weekend, he spent the weekend at my house and we'd drink Surge and eat Skittles while playing Twisted Metal 2, usually co-op. Often we'd fall asleep right in my bean bag chairs, then wake up the next morning and start playing again. Ah, to be 14 again... I almost cringe at all the sugar we consumed back then, hah!

first psone memory, seattle, capitol hill, christmas eve 1996, snow was a foot to 2 feet deep, busses were stuck climbing half way up cap hill, most places were closed, but the bars were open. i lived on cap hill and some friends and I walked over to Kingcora’s pub (formerly squid row), and there, a couple dudes had a psx hooked up and were playing tekken 2. i had never seen graphics like that and had never seen that game. i had a genesis at home and was still playing SFII. I decided right then that I HAD to have a psx. my fav games on the psx are tekken 3, twisted metal 2, street fighter alpha 2 gold, tomb raider 2, resident evil 2, puzzle fighter, raiden project, tekken 2, soul blade, jet moto, cool boarders, tetris plus

I never understood why Crash 3 is more liked than 2, it felt a bit more cliche to me... Also, Breath of Fire 3 vs 4...I havent' beaten 4 yet but 3 ...holy crap did that game get tedious near the end. I didn't like how the game gave you the option to use all these cool characters ...only to find out you basically need to play with Rei and Momo otherwise you'll find yourself having to leave the dungeon because you needed to blow up a wall or pick a lock....4 you can switch at any time so if you DO need to do something it just worked better. Also, if you get the physical copy of Breath of Fire 4 it has issues working on some PS2's and PS3's. It worked fine on my PS and PS3 but my cousins PS3 was a newer model and flat out didn't work. Xenogears, I don't get, I do not get the praise that game gets, yes it starts out AMAZING, and it has a lot going for it, they did a whole lot of neat things but that all goes away and the end is 100% rushed. Yes they ran out of budget but games today get crucified for less, Mass Effect 3's last 15 minutes of a 25+hour game being not what people wanted, but half a game literally unfinished with paragraphs of text instead of content? Instant classic! The game just went too far and didn't have the budget for it in the end, they were better off ending it on a cliffhanger to the next game with a good end boss, instead they dragged it out to the detriment of the game, trying to quickly wrap things up in paragraphs of text. :| Great HALF of a game. Edit: I'm not saying these games are bad, I just don't understand why people rate them as I stated above. ...So please don't chew me apart for my thoughts/opinion :|
