I love Gotcha Force so damn much. Rented it out of pure impulse when I was kid and loved the game so much I went back to the store the same day to buy it from them. To this day it's my second favourite game of all time. I lost track of how many times I beat story mode and the amount of hours my friends and I battled each other are immeasurable.
The only one I have on this list is Gotcha Force! Got it from Amazon for $11 and change way back when. I didn't know anything about it, just that I liked Capcom's games on my previous consoles and the price was right!
I really lucked out on buying Pokémon box… I bought it only a few months before the virus hit. At that time they were going for roughly $200-250 with the memory card, the memory card labels, link cable, manual, and game. That outer cardboard sleeve only bumped it up around $100 more. Really wish I would have bought cubivore around the same time. It was also fairly cheap.
Lots of Gamecube games have increased a lot since the pandemic, it seems to be the system that a lot of people are collecting at the moment and that might have something to do with the influx of prices. Cheers!
let's take this into account, to buy both Player's Choice versions of the Sonic Adventure games for GCN would cost less than $150 for mint condition copies... so that would put the cardboard sleeve at a value of over $1000, that is truly crazy... you could buy Chibi Robo!, Fire Emblem and Cubivore OR buy a pathetic cardboard sleeve of overrated Sonic games... just wow.
I have limited edition Wind Waker with Ocarina of Time & Ocarina of Time master quest and Metal Gear Solid the Twin Snakes, not sure about WW but MGS:TTS is moderately rare and worth about 100-150€ correct me if I'm wrong..
Honestly, I find it to be worth it to own Sonic Adventure on GameCube and DreamCast. Due to the fact that the disc drives on both Saturn and DreamCast are not all that reliable. I own both versions for that reason so I can at least play the game and enjoy it without worrying about my DreamCast. Thankfully my DreamCast is still working great!
@@moonshinegaming Exactly. I’ve only had a serious problem with 1 Nintendo Console (Wii). That’s been IT! I have a Game Gear that doesn’t work a Saturn that needs a clock battery replacement every year and Genesis controllers that only work sometimes! SEGA made great games but not so great hardware.
It's super rare for sure! But as I said at the beginning of the video bonus discs weren't included on this list, if they had been, I'm sure it would have been in there! Thanks for checking out the video
Only one I have of those is Gotcha Force that I found in a thrift shop for 5 bucks (minty). Otherwise, I would not even bother playing most of these games. Sometimes things are expensive because they are rare not because they are any good.
First you remind me of my youngest nephew so im subing to you. Second i loved the GameCube wich is a surprise because i hated the N64. Its a blurry mess with a bad controller. Third Skies of Arcadia Legends on GameCube is the greatest JRPG EVER and nobody forget that. Hahahahaa
Nice video and good games, what do you think about Pokemon coloseum with Jirachi bonus disc 2 discs with the sticker on it? I sold one this year for $480 USD I think is one of the rarest gamecube game,I not see no more on Ebay
Yeah it’s definitely really rare! I think it’s around $400 CAD at the moment, so you did great if you sold it for $480 USD! I decided not to include the pre-order bonus disc in the list like I stated at the beginning of the video but if I had it would have been in the top 5 for sure. Thanks for checking out the video 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I got really lucky and got most of the unique games (actual games, Pokemon Box is just Pokemon Storage Software + the Nintendo Game Boy Player feature just for Ruby and Sapphire, not worth the current pricetag at all) in this video list back in the mid 2010s before the Wuhan Flu Pademic caused video game prices to skyrocket. Would you believe me if I said complete-in-box Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance used to just be ~$100.00 lightly used? Arguably PoR is the only game on this list which is worth the price tag (and even then, only for the price I paid for it back in the day). GoGo Hypergrind is good, a proper competitor to Tony Hawk and other Extreme Sports games from the early 2000s, but it simply isn't worth its current price tag as a game, only as a collector's piece and only then because Atlus used to be very stingy about how many copies of games they would print and publish in the late 1990s and through the 00s. This applies pretty much to all of Atlus' games that aren't Persona (the only title(s)/series they printed in any proper numbers back in the day) from the 5th and 6th console generations, of which I have a couple. Pretty much none of the games, not even the collectible 2-pack variants, are worth the price tag listed for them. especially given the only thing that gives them those price tags are the carboard sleeve that bundles them (or in Metroid Prime/Wind Waker's case, the double disc box with halved box art). Gotcha Force is decent, but very repetitive. The definition of a budget title that was worth $35-$40 when it was new. Cubivore is a curious and fun experimental title, and probably worth the original MSRP full price as a result for its novelty, but 10 times that today (typically going for $600 or more on eBay routinely all these years later) most certainly not.
Yeah but it gets worse and worse to a point where games are still unplayable unfortunately, I sent one of them in to get fixed and when it came back it broke again within a few weeks, also purchased 2 others and they did the same
I've always been curious about the Pokemon box game, I didn't know that's how it worked. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a feature in fire red and leaf green, after completing a certain portion of the game, in which you can connect to Ruby and sapphire? Or am I thinking of something else?
I know you can trade between those games via the Trade Centre option at the Pokemon Cable Club or by going to the wireless union room and using the wireless adapter
That old video you got the Pokemon BOX MSRP from was incorrect. It was actually $30. It was considered a value because a Memory Card 59 was $10, a GBA to GameCube Link Cable was $10, and that made the Pokemon BOX disc itself about $10. It was hard to judge it harshly considering the price and that it was just supposed to be utility software. I bought mine from a Pokemon Center NY booth at Pokemon Rocks America in October 2004.
@@moonshinegaming Since I made that comment I found an earlier source than the 2016 video (2010 review) claiming it was $20. I distinctly remember paying $30 and reading that it would be $30 in Nintendo Power. Unfortunately, I just had to sell off all my collection including Pokémon BOX and my Nintendo Powers since I was hit by an EF-4 tornado. :( Even the IGN article says it was updated in 2018 so it is tough to find reviews from when it was still available. :( I didn’t get to go to Pokémon Center NY in New York City but I did get to go to their one-day pop-up booth in Atlanta Georgia at Pokémon Rocks America October 9th, 2004 (Lennox Square). If I had known before that there would be a Pokémon Center booth I would have brought enough money to buy extras! I was only able to scrape together enough for one copy but I wasn’t able to come back because it was one day only. They had a few other event locations on other days but those were as inaccessible to me as NYC and I had no way to know if the Pokémon Center booth was at every one. Anyway, mine sold last night (before the comment) so it is now a past era of my life. Darn tornado. I probably never would have sold it if I weren’t teetering on the edge of homelessness right now and still losing everything I try to hang onto in the tornado’s aftermath. :( Anything I try to keep is in imminent danger.
@@moonshinegaming Thanks! Slowly digging ourselves out. My car was crushed and my arm injury cost more than the insurance check. We were relying on my brother’s car when our roommate wrecked it on a Learner’s Permit. The $3,200 we just got from Pokemon BOX will help us get back in our feet so we are really lucky it survived!
You 100% sound like your reading a script. I know most game reviewers do the same, but you doing it seems very boring and TOO obviously scripted. Not good. -B-tray
I'm really shocked you didnt include Pokemon XD in the leaderboard, because this game is literally ungettable on Amazon, there's no copy on sale everytimes. The Fire Emblem game doesnt worths a lot, only 200-300 dollars.
I used to have one of the few copies of Cubivore that were made. One of the few games that I've 100%. I sold it to Gamestop(or EB Games? Don't remember) when I was like, 16. Trust me, I hate myself lol.
😭 I got into collecting a little too late I’m spending more on 1 game than I did on the actual game system, I’ve emulated most of these, so I know that I need them in my home now haha
