Thankyou dr for this informative video. One thing to clear up: in my country ICU and anaesthesia diverged in 2000 because there was just too much to study (anaesthesiast I know has no knowledge about say electrolyte balance of refeeding syndrome) but it seems from this video anesthesiologists in India still study ICU type medicine. Also how long did it take you to become an anaesthesiasts? I am asking as a writer.

Dear Dr my first suggestion will be to have a bit soothing music with low volume for this kind of knowledge sharing video. I am a retired anesthesiologist and found practicing this branch needed to be on call all the time. Three important points; One anaesthesia practice is best done in a group practice where surgeons are familiar and friendly. Secondly it is best done in partnership with second anesthesiologist as we are on call all the time. Lastly if we want glory then anaesthesia is not a field to practice. It is a very gratifying field for ourselves only. Patients look for famous or popular surgeons not anaesthetist. If money is priority field of Anaesthesia is least desirable. This is my experience and opinion. Many anaesthetist may disagree.
