Fun fact, I’ve been there dozens of times and never seen a piece of gum or smelled something bad. It is amazing. The town around holiday world is small and unique. Just recognize that this is located in a place called Santa Claus.
At the end of the year there is a trip for anyone in choir, orchestra or band to go to holiday world and it is extremely clean and the besttheme park ive been to and the voyage is soooooo fun
Now it is a decently clean park but nah some of them water slides smell like a safari lol not a big deal but some of the smells are pretty bad. They do a good job of putting food all throughout though to keep it smelling 🔥 90% of the time
I live about 45 minutes away from HW and we go EVERY year and have a blast. You can't beat free DRINKS, parking, sunscreen, and no additional cost for floats for slides (or an additional cost for the water park period). I love theme parks, but I always end up saying this is my favorite at the end of the day. Love it!!
In my opinion, Thunderbird is my number one. It’s super smooth and feels like your actually flying! Even though it’s short, it’s so worth it at the end! That’s just my opinion though
I was there last weekend 6/18/21 and I love love love holiday world , I could go there every weekend, so much fun and peaceful and clean …holiday world is unique ‼️✅
I live 15 minutes from holiday world. I’ve been going my entire life, and have had season passes many times. My wife and I visited the park a couple days ago, and half of the rides were closed! Luckily we didn’t pay for our tickets, but we were both very disappointed. We also waited 2 hours to ride the new water roller coaster. I think they let too many guests in at once.. that being said, it’s a very clean and fun park, also admission is cheap, the drinks are free, and there’s some pretty good food. I hope they step their game up this summer
Place is amazing. Taking my grandkids there now. Took my kids 15 yrs ago... place is so CLEAN.. just a place everyone should experience. The water park is absolutely UNMATCHED
Holiday World has the BEST water park, Splashin’ Safari, that I have EVER been to! Not to mention this place has *FREE* unlimited drinks _AND_ sunscreen & numerous drink/sunscreen stations literally at every single corner it seems like so you are NEVER far from a refreshing drink or in need of sunscreen. It’s very clean & you definitely will never leave Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari disappointed. The Voyage Roller Coaster is my favorite wooden roller coaster ever, after The Beast at King’s Island in Ohio. The Beast was my favorite woodie until The Voyage opened in 2006. Voyage just keeps going & I love the second half part. It has that double down drop in the tunnel right after the pause. That was my favorite part because the first time I rode it, I was not expecting that double drop in the tunnel & it took my breath away & I love it everytime I ride it now.
Been to Holiday World twice & Dollywood 4 times now & i do prefer Dollywood overall but Voyage is the best coaster of them all & the water park is so much fun… i’ve also only gone to HW during HWN so it’s hard to compare
3 for Thunderbird? Dang, this would have been my number 1! I've been to Holiday World 4 times, and ridden Thunderbird over 100 times! I love the experience of feeling like you are "hanging" or "flying". Such a great ride! The park is an absolute pleasure, and we go every year! (Especially those free drinks!)
Had my first ever visit to this park on 8/22, and The Voyage became my new #1 wooden coaster. It dethroned Goldstriker. I also take The Legend over Raven. Thunderbird was great, but it lost a bit of love from me due to it not being as smooth as I was hoping.
So one day I was in the water park and got a huge blister on my heel. So I wore my socks from the water park to the exit. (Not suppose to but my heel was soooo raw) so, my bright neon orange socks were clean when I put them on and by the time I was at the park exit, they were still clean. I did not expect that, i expected to toss them in the trash at the exit...... no they were not brand new anymore but they were not black or even grey on the bottom.... Don’t know what they’re cleaning with but I need some!
Oh have been to this park every year including 2020 because of its greatness. I have been there Spence I could. 2012 I think. I am 11 now. This is my home park and it is the best.
The school I went to for high school went to Holiday World every year as the school ending field trip. The entire school went and all the teachers and a few parents were chaperones. The older kids rode all the rollercoasters, and the little kids had a blast. I rode The Voyage once, loved it and most of the other ones. I rode The Raven first, just to break the ice and then went on the Legend. The Voyage came after The Legend, as a slow build. Never went to Splash and Safari because we weren’t allowed to wear bathing suits and it always rained when we went two the whole park turned into splash and safari. We never left dry. Another thing, I liked the Hollow swings in Halloween Town and the Revolution in Fourth of July (Town?) along with the merry-go-round. Holiday twists on classic rides. My favorite feature of Holiday World? FUNNEL CAKES!
I’m so lucky I live 30 minutes from this park. Free parking, free drinks, $60 park tickets and season passes are roughly $200-$300 so about 4-5 park visits. Typically the season passes will have huge sales if you get them early. This park is fantastic, the rides are better than they seem, and I am very grateful for it.
I'll be going to Holiday World for the first time this coming Friday. I've been wanting to visit the park since the mid-2010s being from central PA. Now it's FINALLY happening & I can't wait to ride the Raven, Legend, Voyage, Thunderbird, & the water ride attractions at Splashin Safari. Being a lover of the holidays (especially Christmas), I can't wait to experience the different themed areas & overall experience.
this is my 'home park'! closest to me, about 2 hrs from my hometown and an hour from my college town. as a young disabled person still adjusting to my conditions, i love how nice the employees are whenever I have questions about accessibility, all of the benches around, and the drinks are awesome when I have a flare and need some Gatorade for my electrolytes. the water park is also just superb. I've been to several parks, including Disney and Universal in very recent years, but none of them have the same love I have to holiday world. I can't do many of the wooden coasters anymore, but thunderbird is always my favorite of the dry park. can't pick a favorite of the water park, they're all amazing. Lazy rivet is even better now that they have new 'chair' tubes, which is easier on my poor back.
I’m going for my first time next week I’m so excited bc this place has my #1 bucket list coaster in Voyage and 1 and 2 bucket list slides with the two main water coasters.
as a teenager i wish i lived near here. their employees are mostly teenagers and they literally shuttle them to work so i would definitely work here. its seems like a fun job. i would have season passes and go there all summer.
Favorite Midwest park easy. Looking rough lately though. Last two times I went Thunderbird was shut down. Still never tried Cheetah Chase at all for same reason. I hear people keep getting hurt on it. Speaking of which, a lady died on one of the coasters recently. And just a week or so ago a cart detached and derailed. The passengers had to climb down and go to the hospital.
I went to Holiday World last summer, and I just loved this park!! Not only is it a beautiful park, but their customer service is the best I have seen anywhere. Free parking, free drinks, free sunscreen, who could not love that!! Favorite rides were similar to yours. Obviously the Voyage was number one. Not only at Holiday World, but any other park as well. It is just nuts! The only ride that beats it might be Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point. I also loved Thunderbird and Legend. But, thought the Raven was short, overly rough, and did not live up to what people said about. Kept hoping for that mid ride big drop. Where? What drop? I also liked the Hallow Swings. What a great looking and fun ride. Lots of fun flat rides at Holiday World. Turkey Twirl is cute, but did not get much spin on it. I did not get the chance to do the water park. But, wow, it's huge. And like the water park at MI Adventure crazy buzy. Maybe next year.
I went to holiday world today with my friends and it was SO fun. The raven is really fun and I LOVE raging rapids. I also really like the turkey whirl and the hallows swings. Frightening falls is kinda scary, and so is liberty launch. Overall a pretty good experience.
0:17 that's one of my favorite things there me and my dad did that ride or slide thing so many times It was my first time going to HolidayWorld and it was when the Thunderbird just came out
Obviously The Voyage is in first place. It's just amazing. The water coasters are also excellent. I'm not as big of a fan of Gobbler Getaway. I absolutely LOVE dark rides and I wish more parks had them. But I'm not a big fan of shooter dark rides, especially from the Sally Corp. I really like Men in Black Alien Attack and I find Toy Story Midway Mania to be pretty fun. But I prefer traditional dark rides. I think Holiday World should have a ride similar to Blazing Fury/Fire in the Hole in the Thanksgiving area (but with a pilgrim theme of course.) They could also use an old fashioned boardwalk style haunted house ride in their Halloween area (like Haunted Castle at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.) I think those would become super popular.
I've never been to Holiday World, but it is SO on my Bucket List!! I LOVE Roller Coasters of pretty much every kind and I Love trying new ones. I'm not a huge of water parks because if I'm going to Amusement/Theme Parks I'm going for the Roller Coasters, however, there are some water rides here that I would Love to try!! I definitely hope to be able to go someday!!
Was just there over a month ago. It's a great park but I would wait until the pandemic is over to go again as ride operations were slow because of it. Also, I learned this the hard way, but this is a group experience and won't necessarily accommodate single guests.
For me here is the ranking and where they are on my overall list 5. Howler - idk 4. Thunderbird - #31 3. Raven - #24 2. Legend - #23 1. Voyage - #1 when I rode it it was hauling and it barely is my favorite.
Super cool roller coaster water slides that's what Six Flags St Louis need a roller coaster water slide Hurricane Harbor someone to Mammoth would be cool
@@gachaheart2.0 definitely recommend riding it for the first time at Holiwood Nights! Rode it trimless at night and then regular during the day; and definitely would tell anyone to ride it for the first time on those 2 nights every year
I'll be visiting a cousin in Cincinnati in July; I'll be 30 mins from KI, 3 Hrs from CP, 2ish hours from holiday world and 4.5 hrs from dollywood. Looks like I'll have a busy week.
I went on raging rapids 6 times in a row The park just opened up for that day back between 2013 to 2015. Just cause we could since it was during school hours and it was a field trip for people who had good grades. Then went to the water park and rode a couple of water rides. And walked around the park before the water park opened just waiting for it to open. So really the whole bus and very few people who wasn't on that trip because they didn't go to school anymore but they were cute as hell.
Agree with your list. I’m not sure if you ever got to ride it but they had a huge log flume type ride called Pilgrams Plunge. It’s was awesome but it kept breaking down so they had to remove it. It only lasted a few seasons.
My favorite ride at Holiday World is The Voyage, followed by The Legend, Thunderbird, Gobble Getaway, Frightful Falls, and Rough Riders. My favorite ride in Splashin' Safari is Mammoth, followed by Wildebeest, Zinga, Bakuli, Jungle Racer, Zoombabwe, Watubee, Otorongo, and Bahari River. The only reason why The Raven and Cheetah Chase weren't on either list was because they were both closed during my visit. Raging Rapids also isn't on the list because they retired it a week before my visit.
My daughter actually passed out for a few seconds riding the legend with me. We live 20 minutes from the park and have season passes. She'll ride the Thunderbird and The Legend all day long but won't ride Voyage.
My grandma buys me season passes for Christmas instead of junk we go there every year almost every we go we'll at least three or four times a week it is amazing God go to Holiday World is the best place ever you should for sure go there and all the rights there are the best
I’m so excited I’m going to holiday world in five days for the ninth time in my life because well it would probably be like this. I don’t know I probably gone I don’t know 20 times in my life I’m really excited and I just wanna see what rides to ride because I haven’t been there in like a year but I’m so excited😊😊😊
Nahhh bro the one ride I rode with something in my pocket was the legend 😂😂😂 I had sunglasses in my pocket and I thought the lateral forces were gonna smash them to pieces 😂
