I thought Wicked was better than Colossus Fire Dragon when I went, but that's just my opinion. I definitely agree about Bombora though, that really surprised me and was truly a great, fun family coaster.
XplosiveGamer105 he didn’t say he hated lagoon It’s just the one thing he doesn’t like. Also cedar point hasn’t multiple great coasters that someone can argue to be number 1. Some might consider maverick to be number 1 and some might consider MF to be number 1. Most people consider steel vengeance to be number 1 I think the point he was trying to get across was that there is only one great coaster in park. If you go to lagoon the only ride you are going to look out for or pay attention to is cannibal. With cedar point there are many rides to look out for and pay attention to
It’s like rattlesnake at chessington word of adventures in the uk. When i went there when i was younger i sat in the front seat on my own and at the turns i kept falling sideways onto the empy seat next to me 😂
i was a ride mechanic there and helped build cannibal and was one of the first to ride it....it is insane....also the wooden coaster will not be white anymore they are rebuilding it a section at a time.the lift hill was just redone so the so called sketchyness is not there.also FYI you dont really need the lap bars for colossus at all there only there IF you dont make the loop....the G FORCE IS STRONG ENOUGH.... ALSO we actually ride the WHITE coaster with ouy lap bars cause when we put new wheels on the trains we have to jump out and push and then Try to get back on if not then you have to walk all the way back...lol If you have any questions for more in depth let me know and i will gice you the info...
Wait, the lap bars on colossus are not necessary 😱 I got a season pass for 2019 so I will now look at colossus way different. The funny thing is I always feel like the lap bars are not secure enough 😂
That ride is definitely one of my favorites, I’ve been on it twice and each time was a blast, you just have to be prepared for the sudden loss of momentum
I grew up just North of Lagoon and worked there for a summer. The Colossus the Fire Dragon is my favorite, I have ridden it over 100 Tim's in one summer. The Jet Star 2 is good one to ride as will. They been there for 30 years pluse.
MistaStoudt404 Lagoon is the best! I would recommend riding "Rattle Snake Rapids" when you need to cool off, "Samurai" for when are you feeling really adventurous, and "Colossus" if you want a thrill!
I love going to Lagoon when I visit my extended family in Utah! I haven't been in a while, though, but I do remember going on 8/10 of these. The last time I went, my favorite ride was Wicked.
I don't know that Jet Star is really targeted towards young families, it has a height requirement of 50" which is the highest in the park. Cannibal is only 48"
i live in cali but i’ve been to lagoon and i love it, and honestly if you sit in the back of the “white coaster”, you get some insane ejector and i have that at number 2
I like the count down. I would put BomBora slightly higher, definitely above Spider. I used to work at Lagoon and was Supervisor over Spider, after doing brake checks in the morning yeah not a fan. Cannibal and Dragon you placed perfectly, Wicked as well my only complaint with wicked is I can feel every track joint making it almost unrideable anymore, there was some Manufacturing errors that cause this. If you want an intense ride, Jet Star 2 is intense, almost as Colossus. I have been on Whizzer and Whizzer is a family ride. Jet Stars tight turns and high speed make it a killer ride! Roller Coaster I wouldn't consider a parking lot coaster. Yes it is surrounded by the Parking lot but it was there before the parking lot was there. It used to be the back of the park in the beginning. Now Colossus and Wicked those can be considered parking lot coasters as they were built on parking lot locations, you can even see if you look closely parking lot lines under Colossus. Nice Video though. You did one of these just a few months back though right?
They did however do a major rehab on Spider this past off-season, so I think it would now be at least better on operations. Either way, the experience on Spider is still a highly liked one by many, myself included. I still find Jet Star to be a setback for Lagoon. Its not easily rideable for everyone, has awkward seating, a higher height requirement than all of it's coasters including Cannibal, and has some rough points that are worse than even Roller Coaster. I find it rideable at least and I still have fun on it, but I think it has run it's course since 1976. Move Wild Mouse to it's spot, (which is a smaller footprint so they can easily make that area not as cramped as it is now,) and redo most of the midway where Wild Mouse was to make that walkway bigger, and add new restrooms. Maybe even add a flat ride like a Star Flyer around there.
The Rehab on Spider was mostly cosmetic and changing where the cars unlock. The new colors look sweet but I doubt none of the operation portions of ride have changed much, I've heard a few small things in the operation controls have changed since I worked it but nothing guests would know about. Spider has been rumored to be looking to be sold and replaced with a newer Maurer Spinner which would be sweet as it would fit the space better. Jet Star being removed will happen one day but replacing an intense coaster in that footprint would be hard to do. Also its height limit is the same as Fire Dragon's just FYI. Mouse wouldn't move. One ride that needs to go is Cliffhanger its a waste and the midway could be widened by doing that. I do know one ride that is receiving some much needed love this year but I'll save that info for later. Also New restrooms are coming to the North End.
My top 10 is 11. Puff 10. Bat 9. Wild Mouse 8. Wicked 7. BomBora 6. Jet Star II 5. Spider 4. Rollercoaster 3. Primordial 2. Cannibal 1. Colossus Edit: updating the list because it’s severely outdated lmao
Going here at the end of March. Hope everything is open and they don't have some freak snow storm. Trying to do two things at once. Visit Park City to go skiing, and this park for Cannibal.
MY favorite out of all of these that I have ridden is colossus and roller coaster and I am 9 bit they are fricking fun so I suggest those who haven't gone to lagoon I think you should go there it is AWESOME!!! p.s I'm going tomorrow
I love watching your channel and hearing your opinions over other peoples opinions. Hopefully you come back to Lagoon this year for 2018. I work there and it is really a fun place to work at. I love getting to know a lot of people and getting to help them have a great day. With me and Bombora though, I like it but its okay to me, I guess I've gotten so use to riding rides, though Riding Cannibal and Wicked still give me butterflies before I get on them, just because I love those rides I guess. I LOVE Spider, Its so much fun to be sitting in the back while spinning really fast. I love with how Cannibal, when you go into the elevator the ride gets really intense before you get dropped.
I love lagoon I go there all the time for a school field trip and it's fun my personal favorite is the swings it's fun lagoon is one of the best amusement parks in Utah.
Definitely agree to this line up quite a bit, although Roller Coaster and Spider always switch up on me. Might not seem like a well rounded park at first, but when you look at how many flat rides they have geared towards the thrill seekers, there's quite a bit to do here. Rocket, Screamer, Air Race, Skycoaster, Catapult, and Samurai are definite thrills as well. I would list Cliffhanger if they ever run it to flip you over, but they never do. There's also Rock-O-Plane but that is more considered a classic ride. Besides another thrill coaster (which won't happen in quite a few years at this point,) I would say a Giant Frisbee is the last kind of current thrill rides they would need to round out what they got.
i went there today my fave was the one that came in #2 omg when i went on it i was going to cry cuz i thought i was going to die but when it started i shout to my dad"THIS IS AWESOME"!!!!!!!
My rankings including primordial 1. Cannibal 2. Primordial 3. Wicked 4. Colossus the fire dragon 5. Spider 6. Roller coaster 7. Bombora 8. The bat 9. Jet star 2 10. Wild mouse 11. Puff the fire dragon
My top 10 roller coasters at lagoon: 10) puff 9) wild mouse 8) the bat 7) jet star 2 6) roller coaster 5) spider 4) bombora 3) colossus 2) wicked 1) cannibal The reason why I placed wild mouse at #9 is because it’s jerky and rough but it’s still a fun ride
He studies in Utah so whenever he has free time from University he goes to Lagoon. But his true home parks are still of course Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominion
1. Cannibal 2. Colossus 3. Wicked 4. Spider 5. Bombora 6. Rollercoaster (great layout but rough as hell) 7. Wild Mouse 8. The Bat Did not ride the kiddie coaster and Jet Star was closed
Most people call Bombora Bomboring. There was a lot of hype when people heard about a new roller coaster, and when they said it was a family coaster, we expected it to be like Wild Mouse or the Bat in terms of intensity. I don't think the ride is all bad for what it is, but I think it would definitely be more fun if it was longer, plus the lines are almost always super long for it.
My favorite spinning coaster is Turbulence at Adventure land in Broadhollow Rd Farmingdale Ny 11735! It’s made by Mack rides and it is glossy smooth and pretty intense. It has a pretty different layout then the one on this list. You should go to Adventure Land! It is mostly a kiddie park. But it does have a few thrill rides. It’s similar to Dutch Wonderland, but better. (I been to both parks)
The spinner ran exactly how you described it when I went to Lagoon last June, It was nuts! I really really enjoyed it and now I want my home park (Six Flags Over Texas) to trash their pandemonium coaster and replace it with one of these clones lol
i love that park (it's the only one I've been to besides Disneyland but i was so young so i don't remember Disneyland but i live close to lagoon so I love going there) and yes it was a crowded day normally it hardly takes time to get on a roller coaster ( in less it's cannibal because every one wants on but that is only because it is new) you should go again
Snazzy Xp this is an updated list because when I did this back in 2015, I had never been. I have now ridden these coasters so I can rank them based off of my experience.
Just went yesterday and was very impressed...Cannibal met expectations, Wicked, Roller Coaster, and Spider exceeded them, and Colossus was a bit disappointing.
i have been to lagoon like 1000000 times we get season passes every summer!!! i LOVE roller coasters!!!!!! my brother is a few years older than me and he is sooo scared to go on cannibal and wicked and i have been on colossus one year before him soooo he is a scaredy cat and he says he is NEVER going on cannibal heheheheheh
1: Cannibal 2: Wicked 3: Rollercoaster 4: Colossus The Fire dragon 5: Spider 6: Jet Star ll 7: Bombora 8: Wild Mouse 9: Puff The Little Fire Dragon 10: The Bat
Number 8 is like rattlesnake at chessington world of adventures in England 👍🏻 that park is also mainly aimed for kids and there is only one ride that could be considered scary (I’ve never been on it so I don’t know) and that’s rameses revenge. Thorpe park is for sure the best theme park in the UK so if you like big rides defo go there 😜 blackpool pleasure beach is also a good one too 🤙🏼
