gift box is the best one! I also love python and of course cube within a cube edit: ok after trying them all out on my own cube... gift box doesn't look as great, at least not with my cube. The best are: 1. twisted peaks, 2. python, 3. cube within a cube... but they are practically tied for best because they are all awesome... Now after I solve a rubix cube for someone I can add that extra "twist" to make it way cooler... Thanks for the great video.

The patterns look even better on some of these special cubes. A super christmasy looking pattern is the kilt U' R2 L2 F2 B2 U' R L F B' U F2 D2 R2 L2 F2 U2 F2 U' F2. And I also like the 4 cross pattern U2 R2 L2 F2 B2 D2 L2 R2 F2 B2

Fun fact: If u do the C U Around pattern 3 times in a row, you'll end up with the Cube Inside A Cube Inside A Cube pattern :3

Funny that you suggest using them on a friend's cube to mess with them, I got a coworker into cubing and do random patterns on his whenever left unattended but usually just use 3x3 blind method swaps to do it bc lazy. Funnest thing to do though was twisting a corner when he was still new and didnt know that was unsolvable. He thought he kept messing up for a solid few hours before I went and showed him whats up lol

here is a pattern i found out: R2 S2 R2 y R2 S2 r2 x z R2 S2 R2 Now comes the nasty Part: you exchange two oposing center pieces so all 6 lines are complete and give it to your friend to slove. 🙂
