It’s always the most painful when Spider-Man loses someone dear to him. Peter lost his Uncle Ben, another loses Gwen, his best friend Harry, in another he loses May, Spider-Gwen loses Peter, and Miles loses Aaron. It’s just heartbreaking 💔

In the comics not only did miles lose uncle Aaron, he lost his own mother. Then in the video games he loses his dad and his best friend.

The Death of Superman was such a fantastic DC animated movie. *The people who made that movie truly knew Superman,* and the entire fight with Doomsday was nothing short of incredible. While it's not the greatest DC animated movie ever, *it's still one of my absolute favourites.*

Yeah, I agree just such a good movie. The opening was lighthearted, then some poking fun at the Lois doesn't realize who Clark is, then we get into the dark with Doomsday. You really have to watch that whole fight not just the end to get the emotional impact. I will admit though, the pacing one the JL engaged Doomsday until Superman took over from Wonder Woman, felt a little odd.

The Dark Knight Returns is absolute gold. Animation, voice acting, story, music characters are just awesome. My favorite animated(outside of anime) fight Batman vs. the Mutant Leader. Raw, realistic, brutal, cinematic.

Uncle Aaron's and Takashi's deaths were the most heartbreaking deaths that hurt me to the core, I was literally crying like crazy after watching that. Uncle Aaron finding out that Miles is the new Spider-Man which results in Kingpin murdering him right in front of Miles and Takashi risking his life to saving his professor only to be killed because of his professor's selfish/ evil intentions really makes this so devastating. They didn't deserve to die.

I'm gonna be completely honest. I loved Spider verse but in my experience I'm going to have to disagree with Watch Mojo because I think Aaron's death scene was the only thing wrong with the movie. I just couldn't get invested over it because the movie felt they needed to add a useless conflict at the same time with the dad seeing Spiderman. It never becomes plot relevant, and it just diverts attention. It was just such a jarring decision to me because otherwise, the movie is an absolute masterpiece. I wish I could have just felt the raw emotion of Aaron's death without useless conflicts being added on at the same time.

Into the Spider-verse hits me the hardest with the first Spider-Man's death. The way they transition to the news reports, the music, and MJ speaking to the people, gets me every time.

Tadashi is #1 to me. And the fact on who was behind it still really upsets me though I understand Callahan but his quest for revenge should never have included others and shows how the quest for revenge/vengeance can destroy innocent lives. I was not that sad about Uncle Aaron, he had it coming but I felt badly for Miles and his father. Tadashi was a great guy!

Shazam’s death no matter what movie always hits hard cuz we know he’s literally a child (or children) For me, it will always be his death from Apokalips War cuz he consciously made the choice to let himself go nuclear to give his friends a chance, even if a minuscule one.

It's actually give and take. It isn't so surprising when you remember that Marvel failed at their animated feature films while DC flourished. Then in the live action realm. Marvel is putting out quality content and DC is suffering, or WAS suffering. Since The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, they've been gaining momentum.

If i'm being honest, i didn't shed too many tears for Julia in WWBL i mean sure she didn't deserve to die but she was undeniably a terrible mother, because ever since Diana set foot in Julia's home she never gave Vanessa the time of day hell Julia became so invested with Diana that her own daughter was practically invisible to her and even during her own death she doesn't acknowledge Vanessa even though she's literally holding her dying mother in her arms, which made Julia's death all the more tragic.

All Star Superman had a great death because there was more buildup to it. You think, maybe he’ll survive. Maybe he can overcome his sickness. It’s more of a gut punch when he doesn’t.

One thing I love about Into The Spiderverse which I love so many things about it is that the moment you see Kingpin kill Spiderman should be the moment you realize this is gonna be a more mature to where it nearly feels like a PG-13 film with the deaths when it's actually PG along with realizing that's the stuff got real moment. As soon as Peter's Spiderman death happened I knew I couldn't act like this wasn't another child friendly, happy go lucky animated films. That scene showed me that the creators of the film aren't afraid to hold back on important characters dying. THEY HAD THE GUTS TO KILL SPIDERMAN WHEN HE HASN'T BEEN KILLED IN A CINTAMATIC FILM BEFORE THEN

I mean not really. Superman grew up with The Kent’s from when he was a child. They were his parents. Bruce only had Alfred and knew his parents before they died. Superman didn’t know his parents at all since he left the planet as a baby.

When Aaron Davis died it was devastating for both Miles and the audience. He was attempting to kill his own nephew as The Prowler until he discovered who was behind the mask. But upon hesitation, Fisk shoots him and he dies shortly after, spending his last moments with Miles. It’s sad😢

Man DC could alone get another two and make all ten! I guess it's one per movie, otherwise Zatanna deserves to be in place of Julia in WWBL. Especially when you get to know the reason behind Constantine's brain fade. Also Terra from Judas Contract. Hits harder with Beast Boy's ending monologue.

Sadly Marvel tends to bank more on life-action movies, hell Into The Spider-verse is one of the few movies under the Marvel brand and then you have stuff like Rising: Secret Warriors which isn't really a movie and more like a series of shorts compiled into a feature lenght film that doesn't make sense watching on the go without pause. While DC has hits and misses with their life-action movies, it's their animated movies where things are really interesting given that they go all out into adapting their comics and not leaving it as a PG rated movie. Under The Red Hood (where a deceased Jason Todd aka the second Robin, comes back to life and takes the mantle of the Red Hood as a middle finger to both Batman AND Joker) is one of my personal favorites and if you watch it you'll quickly see how strong those movies can be. I'd say, give them a go. Animated superhero movies tend to be surprisingly great.

Still have the original Superman dies by Doomsday comic. It's one of my favorites. Not favorite in the sense that I hated seeing Superman getting killed. The time I bought it was the time it came out, so no one has moved on or retconned the series yet. I was more into Marvel back then. So it wasn't quite the gut punch, but it as still hard to believe.

I feel like animated DC movies and shows have so many depressing deaths...but also while it's a TV series and not a movie Beast Wars season 2 With dinobot's death was one of the saddest deaths imo for an animated character☹ At any rate I dont agree with their number 1. The end of JL-Dark Apokolips was way sadder because everyone dies or gets erased...that movie was grim.

Apokalypse War had some brutal deaths. Basically if you were a “side character” you were dead. And main characters in the DCAMU aside from the main Justice League we’re all up for grabs when it came to getting killed. Those Doomsday clones were no joke.

Before the war, before the first movie in the series, when?! They basically just hit a glorified reset button because they had a bad outcome. For a Justice League movie, there was no justice!

When Batman gets to Owlman his efforts are countered pretty well, and he likely ended up staying longer than he intended. After all he nearly lost the fight with Owlman.

When my little brother passed away, I couldn't watch Big Hero 6 for at least 2 years. Tadashi's death scene broke me every time.

If I was the Prowler I would have suggested to Kingpin to take Miles under his wing. Having a Spider-Man working for him would have spared his life until he found a way to escape.
